  1. I think this shows that LEGO needs to create a medium sized figure somewhere between Hulk and standard Minifigure size. That way characters like Colossus, KingPin and who ever elsewhere more accurate in size. I think something like Dogpound from TMNT would be good.
  2. Well if memory serves me correctly Arthur Douglas is killed by Thsnos in the comics, and is then resurrected as Drax the Destroyer. On top of this Gamora is the adopted daughter of Thanos, so two of the key members of the team have ties to Thanos. With the USM goblin being DLC or a real fig, I think it makes more sense that we are seeing it next year. None of Spideys other villains shown use there USM appearance. Doc Ock doesn't and neither does normal Green Goblin. Plus from what the guy said it sounds like he will come out in a set next year. Most likely a set similar to the Hulk breakout set.
  3. They just finished a large event with Ultron in the main universe. To some it up very quickly, Ultron has taken over the whole world and killed of most of its heroes. Hulk, Thor, Cyclops and nearly everyone else has been killed by Ultron. Luke Cage gets himself captured in order to find out where Ultron is. It's revealed that Ultron is in the future, and is using the Vision as his puppet. She hulk is killed and Luke cage dies after informing the others of this. The heroes travel to the savage land and find Nick Fury in his end of the world bunker. The team splits in two and Nick, Cap and a few others travel to the future to stop Ultron. They are all killed. And Wolverine and Sue storm travel back in time to a moment before Hank creates Ultron. Wolverine and Sue Storm kill Hank, and travel back to the present. When they arrive in the future they find that without Hank the Avengers broke up, and Earth is under constant threat from both Asgard and the Skrulls. Seeing how terrible the world is they travel back and stop them selfs from killing Pymm and instead convince him to install a fail safe so that at the moment Ultron would win, he would die. That way he still creates Vision and Dies just before he can take over the world. After this Pymm realises that Ultron wasn't his defining moment but it was Antman. From what I've head about the Ant man film, Pymm will be a scientist in the 60s who creates the technology and in the present day Scot Lang uses it to fight crime. If this is true then I understand why Pymm wouldn't be involved in the creation of Ultron in this Universe. Also because of the event above (also called Age of Ultron) I don't think that Marvel will retcon Ultron. Besides they haven't retconed the Mandarin yet.
  4. I think your misunderstood what I meant. I know that Tony Stark is still Iron man the movie was clear on that. Currently Tony Stark does not own a Iron man suit all the Suits were destroyed in either the attack on the mansion, or during the Clean slate protocol. There is also no need for Tony to make a suit as there is need for him currently. However if J.A.R.V.I.S was to become Ultron Tony Stark would Create a New Iron man suit. If it was another threat however like, MODOK or whatever Stark may not feel the need to create and wear a new suit. This may be because Stark could see that there are multiple heroes that could go to the Rescue (Rhodey, Cap, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow even SHIELD or the countless unmention heroes that exist in that world). But if the threat is something which he created he would be more motivated to physically do something. Instead of sitting back and saying the others have got this, he would be like right lets do this. It would be more personal for Tony, at the end of Iron man 3 he doesn't really have much ( apart from Pepper, lots of money and Stark tower) he's got no home, no suits, no need to build more suits, no unfinished business and no reason to wear a suit for a while. The house situation would be irrelevant Tony is most likely moving to Stark tower now. But everything else wouldn't change easily but Jarvis becoming Ultron would change everything there. There would be a personal need for Tony to build a suit, use that suit, and take action.
  5. Ye ok I can see you points, I didn't realise that he was still physically damaged by the end of the film. Overall the films good, but not one of my favourites. I'm hoping DC decide to take a chance and make an Aquaman film. He's pretty underrated and he could easily be the DC equivalent of Thor. There's only one way to change the perception that he's useless and that's to make a film where he isn't. He's pretty badass in the new 52.
  6. But there was still no real need for Bruce the Mantle on. I get that the Premise of the Trilogy was that Batman can be anyone, but there was no need at the end of the film for Bruce to retire. The only reasons I can see are the following: Nolan wanted to end the series Reiterate that Batman is a symbol Give Bruce Wayne a happy ending But I still can't see Bruce after everything he's been through passing the mantle on because he found love again. There was no physical reason for Bruce to retire, he fixed his leg at the beginning and his Back had fixed as well. At his age he could have carried on for a few more years at least. He didn't die, and the only reason he left was because he found love. Maybe he felt that after Rachel had died he couldn't love someone and be Batman. But that wasn't stated in the TDKR. It was stated in TDK that Bruce was under the impression that when he stopped being Batman he could be with Rachel, but Rachel died. It just felt forced at the end, as If Nolan said we need to show Batman's a Symbol, but I didn't see a real reason as to why he would pass it on. Also I feel that I may have not been clear in my original comment. I don't dislike TDKR but its near the bottom of the list of Bat movies in my opinion. My ranking is: The dark Knight Batman Begins 1989 Batman Batman returns The Dark Knight Rises Batman Forever Batman and Robin Overall the movie is ok but I just think its the weakest of the Nolan trilogy. I could see watching that film that Nolan didn't want to do another Batman film afterwards.
  7. I do read the comics, but it to me Batman isn't batman without Bruce Wayne. Clearly others feel the same since no matter who becomes Batman (Dick Grayson, Jean Paul Valley, ect) Bruce Wayne is usually Batman again in a year or so. Apart from Terry who is slightly different with the fact the Bruce is in his 80s. In all of those stories ( granted I haven't read the one where Supes becomes batman and excluding Terry) Bruce doesn't willinglygive up being Batman but instead is unable to continue being Batman. When Bruce's back Heals he's Batman again, when Bruce returns after being sent back in time he's batman again. He doesn't willingly hand over the mantel it's taken for him because he's dead, crippled or old. In TDKR batman isn't any of those he just wants a normal life, which isn't the Bruce Wayne I've grown up with or read about. The only time Beuce willingly gives the mantel over us withTerry and even then Bruce still trains Terry, and acts as his Alfred. In a way it's still his Personal fight, but he's using Terry to fight. If Bats had died at the end of the film I would be fine, but he didn't he willing have up his mission.
  8. Here's the article where Joss confirms no Hank Pymm in Avengers 2 http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=83845 Honestly I can see that happening: A) They need a reason for Tony to become Iron man. B) while it is possible it's unlikely they will say Hank Pymm created Ultron if he isn't in the Film. While I personally would like to see Pymm create Ultron I guess they are going a different route. It makes some sense as well. Edgar Wright doesn't want Hank Pymm as Antman he wants Scot Lang. I don't think Scot creating Ultron works personally, also Hank may not fit with Hanks character. I haven't read much about Hank Pymm, I've read the first Ultimates arc and Age of Ultron AU 1 and Avengers Disassembled. From those three arcs all I've got is that his biggest mistakes are creating Ultron and beating his wife. I can't see Disney wanting to use him for the whole wife beating thing. Sure Tony was an alcoholic, but it rarely gets mentioned now a days. But with Hank from the three stories I've read and what I've been told by others the Wife beating is mentioned every so often. I think that's why they are going Scot Lang and maybe having Tony create Ultron. But I do agree Tony is having to much revolve around him in the MCU, I guess it's because he sells tickets.
  9. All of those films ruined the current series for me. I won't explain the Schumacher films as they were awful by TDKR ruin Nolans series for me. For me although Batman is a symbol Batman doesn't work without Bruce Wayne. It's personal for him as its his life's work trying to make Gotham safe so that, what happened to him won't happen to another Kid. Bruce is Batman and Batman is Bruce, Batman is the creation of both Wayne's intellect, resources and personal experience. Nolan instead based these films on the belief that Batman is a role that can be taken by anyone. In John Blakes case someone who killed two people. This is why I love the idea of Nightwing because Bruce is to different from any potential future Batman. Bruce Wayne's drive to make Gotham safe comes from the fact that he can never really avenge his Parents deaths. Joe Chill is killed before Bruce can fully move on from his parents deaths. This is different from Nightwing who while as Robin apprehended Tony Zucco and justice was served. Nightwing got the closure and Bruce didn't, and that's where I think the characters drive comes from. Bruce will never give up until his mission has been completed ( which unfortunately will never happen). In TDKR Bruce it's almost as if he is constantly looking for a way out. That's not Batman to me. There's a 8 year gap where Bruce Wayne has really given up. While the murders can be put on to Batman, I'm sure the majority of Gothamites don't believe it. I also don't understand why Batman wouldn't operate without the help of the police. To me it appears that Batman is really just sulking over the death of Rachel. Gotham would still need Batman, I'm sure there's still crime, Gordon even says that at the beginning of the film. Bruce with his intelligence would know this and would fight crime. It's clear that Bruce in the film doesn't want to be Batman anymore, even though the fight against crime isn't really over. Instead Bruce's personal fight against the Gotham criminals is handed to someone else. Plus Blake doesn't really have that same drive, while still an orphan he doesn't go through the same emotional story, or training. I can't imagine Gotham being safe in his hands. On top of that he doesn't have the same resources as Bruce, if he damages the B.A.T he's screwed. He would have to walk to the scene of the crime, he couldn't afford a new one. While the tone of the Nolan films is right for Batman, I still feel that Robin and more super powered villains would work in that setting. Nolan felt differently and I respect his opinion, but he's made a Batman series. Does he really need to have a controlling share in the next one and all DC films? The answer is No, DC should try something new, there's no need to repeat the past.
  10. God no. I've had enough of Nolan doing Superhero films. TDKR is up there with Batman forever and Batman and Robin in terms of how bad they are. Nolan had a bit of input in MoS which was ok I really liked that film, but still no Nolan. One of the reasons the MCU works so well is that it's light hearted and while Grounded in places still has both humour and fantasy elements. If Nolan made Justice League they would have to hand out anti depressants at the door. I can see a point in the film where Supes says ' we have to save the world' only for the audience to shout out ' what's the point, just let us die' haha. Certain characters like The Flash and Green lantern can lighten the mood, and could be similar to Tony Stark in terms of humour. The problem is Supes is very serious, Batman is incredibly serious, Aquaman is basically a God and Wonderwoman is a goddess. Most of the League isn't relatable and that may be a problem. Nolan would only add to this problem by making it more Dark and gritty. These new films need to be different from the previous films. Personally I hope that we get the following. No Batman origin Establish that both Nightwing exists and Robin exist Confrontation between Batman and Supes over the ending of MoS Bruce Wayne as Batman And lastly Kryptonite I have no idea who should play Batman but I would like the following to play these roles Bryan Cranston as Commissioner Gordon John Cleese as Alfred And I also think Matt Smith would look good as the Joker, I don't know what he would be like portraying him however.
  11. I think Joss has confirmed that Antman won't create Ultron and won't appear in Avengers 2 either. The most likely thing that will happen is the J.A.R.V.I.S corrupts and becomes Ultron. This would also serve as a great reason for Tony Stark become Iron man again, being that he has to stop a monster he created. Also J.A.R.V.I.S would have access to mechanical suits and the technology to build them ( Tony Starks new Lab).
  12. Ye I picked mine up yesterday from my nearest LEGO store. Lots of LEGO stores in Europe have them as far as I know.
  13. I can see Stan Lee being included in a USM set, as he appears as the janater from time to time. Although they could include him in a ASM set if has a important role. Maybe as a hostage or civilian.
  14. I think they will replace it in future copies, and I'm guessing if you Email them they will send you a replacement part. They did something similar with the POTC sets, the box showed chrome gold but it was pearl hold inside. If you emailed LEGO they just sent you the proper parts in the post. It doesn't really bother me. The text is so small that unless your looking really close in the cockpit, you can't see it. Plus none of my friends noticed it was misspelt when I showed them the Delorean. However if a replacement part becomes available I will most likely email LEGO for it.
  15. Got my set today and just finished building it. The picture on the front really doesn't represent or do justice to this model. Although I thought this before, having the model in my hands has really blown me away. The scale is just right and car looks amazing. The only questionable thing to me is the Mr Fusion. Is it really that tall? I always thought it was smaller than that. However this doesn't really change my opinion of this set, it's still incredible.
  16. MIlton Keynes LEGO store has them in stock. I rang earlier and got them to put one by for me. I've still got £25 in VIP points so that will bring this to just £10. However I most likely wont save anything, knowing me I'll add another set to bring it back up to £35 haha.
  17. On the SDCC announcements yesterday they were listed under the CUUSOO theme with the Delorean.
  18. Don't forget will still don't have timetables for Saturday and Sunday. One of those days could say unveiling of Marvel set.
  19. That sounds about right. Isn't that the same reason why certain Toy Story characters couldn't be made as they were owned by other companies? Two examples being Mr Potatoe head and Slinky. Looking at the model the only thing I think LEGO need to put on it would be the DMC logo.
  20. LEGO never reveals everything on the first day. Their booth gets swarmed by everyone otherwise. Like last year it will be a different theme every day. Yesterday was CUUSOO by the look of it. They showed of both the BTTF set and the two new Minecraft sets. So they did show something.
  21. Thanks for the review Rufus. I love this set and can't wait to get one (or maybe two). Hopefully my nearest store still has one in stock on Saturday. Hopefully like Minecraft this set sells well and we get to see some future Additions this licence.
  22. I read the review when it was up and didn't see anything about the spelling. The main issues the guy had was the Hood, doors, only one figure fits in the car and that the bumper was the wrong colour (said it should be grey instead of white). He also said he thought it was selfish and incredibly rude that LEGO changed the date from 1955 to 1958. He said that it was like they were trying to shoe horn themselfs into BTTF lore. Overall he said the model sucks and that people should buy it unless they like licence sets. Overall it was incredible negative and seemed really biased. I'm glad that the Brickshow and Brickset both overall liked the set. On a separate note after seeing both the back printing, and the alternate faces to both Marty and Doc I can't wait to get this set. Both figures look incredible and have really been given justice. Is this the first new CUUSOO piece as well? I haven't seen Docs hair in white before. Have any of the over three sets have parts in new colours? If so it's a CUUSOO first. Lastly where will the BTTF review appear? Will it be in Licenced Themes, Special themes or Sci fi?
  23. I have no problem with having a gay Spider-man, but I do with a gay Peter Parker. Not because I have a problem with gay characters, but because I have a very clear image of what Peter should be. Instead of making Peter gay, why don't they bring in Miles? Isn't Miles gay?
  24. I'm surprised we haven't gotten different Steves. As an example Tennis player Steve or Tuxedo Steve. Still these sets look great and the inclusion of both the Pig and Villager is great.
  25. Looks great hopefully since now more angles and visuals have been shown, it may sway some people's views.
