  1. No. They are always the same.
  2. It looks like the Capitol Building took Mos Eisley Cantina's award for "Biggest Hive of Scum and Villainy Recreated in a Lego Set".
  3. Very modern. You might want to include a door though, and possibly fill in the front corner. Are you planning on building the other three modules, or are they just to show what the full block will look like?
  4. Can you post pictures of the inside pages of the booklet? And also the fine print on the bottom of the front of the booklet?
  5. I have a few shelves above my bed. I keep sets on two of them, MOCs on two, and minifigures (and small sets) on another. If anyone's interested in a couple of the MOCs.
  6. They changed? What are the prices now?
  7. Here's one technique I'm fond of.
  8. 1x1 round with hollow stud Large hoses from Life on Mars and Mars Mission Zamor spheres (maybe also soccer and basketballs)
  9. Welcome! Thanks for letting me know that Cincinnati is also called Porkopolis.
  10. I believe the one you're referring to is Bricks and Pieces. From what I've heard, their selection is pretty big. If the pieces you need are recent, I don't imagine you having a hard time finding them.
  11. As some general career advice, networking is key. An employer will hire someone he/she personally know before hiring a stranger, even if that stranger has a strong resume. Also, a lot of jobs are never posted anywhere, so knowing someone in the company can open a lot of doors.
  12. The logo on these pieces is cockeyed. The logo seems to be rotated by the same angle, but counterclockwise for the one on the right while clockwise for the two in the middle. The one on the far left is a normal brick for reference. All the bricks are 2x2 inverted slopes.
  13. Shame! What store was this at? Are the pink parts part of the Build-a-Model, or were there still bins with other pieces?
  14. It's not dorky, it's like a Rubik's Cube! The king of non-dorky things.
  15. I don't think Lego has ever made belts as long as the two on the helicopter on the front. The fact that there's also no Lego logo indicates to me that it isn't made by Lego.
  16. I'd love to. Too bad they're each in dozens of bags.
  17. I buy most of my bricks used, so there are quite a few cracked/twisted/chewed bricks in my collection. I keep them in a cup next to my build table. I don't often use them, but having the cup there keeps the option open.
  18. All the Mixels come in a separate inner bag. Here's a sample of some built in the bag. And here's one of last year's smaller underwater vehicles (60090). The octopus' eyes can't be attached without opening the bag, so I guess it will be blind.
  19. Try to join a local LUG (Lego User Group). These groups are made of AFOLs, and you might be able to find a member who will let you browse his or her collection.
  20. Thank you so much CopMike and the rest of the organizers! I won the Doctor Who prize, which I would never had had a chance to own otherwise.
  21. I'm really loving all the printed round parts in the Chaos Chariot. The front two remind me of Chain Chomps from the Mario games.
  22. The Nexo Knight set "Beastmaster's Chaos Chariot" is my favorite set so far. I'm also liking the look of the Bionicle sets that have been revealed, and the rest sound promising. Other than that, it seems like a fairly cheap year (fortunately).
  23. I didn't really like any of this series, but then I saw the wrestler's mullet. I want to build an entire bemulleted city now.
  24. My ideal Christmas tree is one in my favorite color. Green trees are so 2014, let's see some purple! Thank you to CopMike and everyone else running the contest!
