  1. Barraki. Bionicle was a really cool theme before and since then, but they were just thrown together parts with weird things sticking out everywhere. They gave Bionicle a bad name, and are usually what Bionicle haters bring up when they are saying Bionicle is a bad theme.
  2. I have had trains since the early 2000s,but never that many. I have the Railway express (4561), the BNSF, 10013,10014, and 10015 (open freight wagon, caboose, and green passenger wagon) I wish they still sold the individual cars, since they can be used on 9v and RC track. I got out of trains when they switched from 9v to RC.
  3. I want to join! I think I can write fairly well, but it's hard to take pictures of LEGO without them being too dark or too shiny.
  4. I really like this MOC. Its nice to see a vignette that is fairly small. It shows that you can show a lot with a few pieces, and you don't need thousands of bricks to make a good MOC
  5. I was just thinking earlier that LEGO should make seasonal haunted houses. I'm going to start an MOC of one, hopefully it will be good.
  6. I like how DUPLO prints pieces, rather than using stickers on them. I still have a bucket of my DUPLOs, but my little sister's got mixed in with it :). As a side note, a 2x4 DUPLO brick is about the same size as one space in Monopoly, so I built a battleship out of DUPLOs that was about 2 feet long and a foot tall, and used it as my Monopoly piece. It took up a whole side of the board. :)
  7. I was thinking of putting the numbers on a big wheel, and then hiding all but one of the numbers behind a slot. You could then turn the wheel each day, so the date shows through the slot.
  8. The genie is definitely one of my favorite minifigures LEGO has made. Pearl gold hands.
  9. Has anyone experienced shortages of these at their TRU, or is it likely I can get one?
  10. I like the level of detail in this MOC. I think the broken glass on the roof is a nice touch. The rock part of this looks very realistic. Good job.
  11. Yeah, I know what you mean. It seems I always have enough colors for MOCs I don't make, but barely any colors like green and brown and orange.
  12. OK, that's what I thought the rules meant, but I just wanted to make sure.
  13. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like the vehicles will be about the quality of the average RACERS vehicle, while the snake people look like some of the coolest minifigs LEGO has ever made.
  14. Hi, I'm Sid Sidious. I am from Western New York, in the United States. I am a TFOL, and have been building LEGO since about 1999. My favorite theme was BIONICLE, but now that it has sadly ended, i have turned my attention towards minifig based themes with a good amount of cheaper sets; such as Atlantis, Pharaoh's Quest, Collectible minifigures, and '90s themes like Insectoids and UFO. Since I am a TFOL, I don't have a large supply of money, so my brick collection is smaller than most AFOLs. Because of this my MOCs tend to be smaller. I like to take only the pieces of an existing set and make an alternate model out of them, like the back of the box in the past. I also like doing 8x8 vignettes for my CMs. I hope to upload pictures of some of my MOCs soon, and plan on entering the CM5 building contest.
  15. I don't recall finding any LEGO in weird places, other than an occasional small bit that I have no idea where it came from, but my friend told me he found the swords from Tahu Nuva on the road, but they were fairly well ran over and pretty useless.
  16. Back a few months after the Shinkai 6500 sub came out, I went on the Japanese version of the site. I think that only 1000 votes were needed then. Did they up the number, or am I imagining things?
  17. I know for other contests members who joined after the start date couldn't vote, but would I still be able to enter this since I joined today?
