  1. Will it be possible to pick up a hard copy version of that poster from anywhere?
  2. I would recommend selling the complete sets separately. It will be a bit more work, but from the looks of your pictures you already have the large ones sorted out. After this, Try selling the minifigures separate, or in small lots. You'll be able to get a lot more money if you sell in a bunch of smaller lots, rather than one 1000lb lot.
  3. I feel it looks better when combined with other colors, such as tan, dark tan, and sand red. When a MOC just has both grays, it can come off looking like the builder just ran out of one kind and had to use the other in parts.
  4. These are my least favorite Breaking Bad characters, but this is one of the best MOCs of that show I've seen.
  5. Is the stuff in OP your entire resume copy and pasted in, or did you just put some highlights there?
  6. I've heard that the story will be mainly in the form of books, so I'd be surprised if one of these doesn't pop up soon. If not Bionicle '15, then at least 2016 or 2017.
  7. Usually when something I build breaks in transit I try to rebuild it sturdier when I get home.
  8. When looking to buy a set for colors, check a parts lists before purchase. I've noticed on some sets (especially Technic) an overall bright color is obtained using a small handful of bright pieces and a large fistful of grays and black and white. I don't know what the LUG scene is like in Ireland. If you can join a LUG that does LUGBULK, you can get tons of colored pieces for very low cost that way. Some pieces will be cheaper on LEGO's PAB website or replacement parts site than on Bricklink. Make sure to check all three. Education/Dacta offers huge bulk sets with a lot of bright colors. They are often pretty expensive to subsidize the educational material cost, but they sometimes go on sale.
  9. This is awesome news. I want to go on the Inside Tour, but the cost is a huge discouragement. Getting a tour of the factory is the main draw for me. And also free food... Now to find 11 friends.
  10. I'd say charge for the U-Haul rental, gas, and a reasonable price for your time (maybe $10/hr). I agree with you that something this big would never get approved on Ideas, so I doubt charging to transport this would be a significant worry in that regard.
  11. Or make a CMF titled Sherri/Terri and let you decide which one she is.
  12. Treetop Hideaway is one of my favorite sets of next year. I love the purple leaves, and the sand green railings are pretty awesome as well.
  13. Set 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter from 2009.
  14. There's a drumstick on the table. A drumstick came with the CMF zombie. I'm guessing that's a reference to the zombie's chicken originating at a Thanksgiving dinner, or being used as a Thanksgiving dinner.
  15. Under details it says "Purchase Limit of 1". I tried to find it in stores around my area. They were all listed as either out of stock or not sold in that store. I tried with three other large cities in New York, and got the same results.
  16. What is a good set to get into Technic? I have a few dozen Bionicle sets and a few Technic sets from 8-10 years ago. What's a good set with some newer parts, beams, and panels? Preferably less than $75.
  17. My girlfriend wants a baby, but all I want is a cat.
  18. What is this shark you speak of? Do you have pictures, or a link to the Taobao listing?
  19. If you want to know shipping beforehand, use Brickowl. It also has a search function that works well.
  20. Half pins are probably the most useful part for me. Thankfully they are also one of the cheapest parts there is, and color rarely matters when I use them. The two pieces I want most for Lego to make are a half pin with + axle and half pin with friction bars.
  21. I mainly use reviews to see new, useful, or repetitive parts in a set. It's easier to see new or useful parts when they are separated by the reviewer (as opposed to a Bricklink inventory), and it is more meaningful to see the picture of a pile of 500 1x2 plates instead of seeing an inventory say there are 500. With a picture review I don't have to search through 15 minutes of fluff and aspects of the set I don't care about to find two or three good shots of the parts. If the set has a cool play feature, a video will demonstrate that better than pictures, but this can be achieved by linking to a 30 second Youtube clip instead of creating an entire video review.
  22. The stripes were part of the LEGO logo in the 70s. Here are some (but not all) of the sets that had that logo.
  23. I was planning on buying a bunch of purple Mixels when they came out, so I'm glad I'll get 2 promos with them.
  24. Old dark gray, light gray, brown, and purple were changed to the new versions in January 2004. Lego still had a supply of pieces and raw plastic in the old colors. This meant parts in the new colors would be molded if there were no reserves of that part in the old colors, but existing parts in the old colors would be put in sets to avoid throwing out thousands of perfectly good bricks. This caused sets released around this time to include both new and old grays, brown, and purple. Although 2004 had the most mixed color sets, I believe this issue occurred until 2008.
