  1. On the plus side his mask doesn't look gigantic. If they had given him boots that means we would have had bright yellow legs with the red printed on. I would rather have no boots than bright yellow legs. That seems possible. But it sort of looks like the usual cowl, I would be disappointed if they didn't bother to make a new piece for her. Perhaps if not a part of this set she'll appear with a redesigned Nightwing somewhere else (I have high hopes Lego will give us the figures to complete the bat-family as it's a bit boring just to have Batman and Robin and nobody else).
  2. Well... I was hoping that the part 3 variation with the box on the hood would make the crappy hood worth it... Nope. To bad this isn't an actual licensed set, Lego would have just created a new piece. I guess I need to set the bar low for CUUSOO sets...
  3. A very interesting set. And here I thought they couldn't design a Batmobile I like even less... But the figures look pretty fantastic. The Flash looks good so far, I do like that they just used a red head for the bottom part of the mask. And I'm loving the new Riddler with his green hat and he appears to be wearing a suit. And the dragster looks to be a fun little vehicle. Granted I question the need to make another version of the same vehicle and another version of a character that already has two variations (Granted this variation is my favorite). So long as we get Batgirl this year I'm willing to excuse a few repeat characters.
  4. Disney owns the merchandising rights for ASM, not Sony. And I' sure they'd have no problem discontinuing the USM sets for something movie based as that would undoubtedly have higher sales. So it's definitely within the realm of possibility at this point. We just don't have any actual news that confirms or denies it.
  5. A new Green Goblin would be great and so long as Lego does have the ASM rights we'll get a new one eventually. However this week I almost think we'll see more comic/TV sets than movie sets. If they are doing a wave for Thor I would definitely imagine we'd see that, but the other movies I would think they'd preview later as most of them come out next year. And this year we really didn't see most of the movie stuff until a few months before release, so I would assume Lego will wait till much later to show off that stuff. I definitely think we'll see a Batgirl, Nightwing and Killer Croc set (After all Batgirl hasn't been made yet and the other two haven't been remade yet). And for Marvel I think we'll see a Fantastic Four set (If only to tie in with the game).
  6. But by 2011 Megablocks would already have been working on the sets for next years release and would already have the contracts to do the first ASM. I would assume the new deal means that Disney has the rights for ASM2 and SM movies onward (Similar how they couldn't do sets for movies before Avengers until Disney bought the individual rights). It's a rumor discussion thread. It's just speculation, nothings real until posted on the first page basically. There's nothing wrong with voicing opinions on the possibility. The fact is that I can't prove it is an ASM figure anymore than you can prove it's not. We can speculate and that's it until Lego says something. I just personally like to entertain the option for now. Pick another word. Common sense should stop you from saying that.
  7. It wasn't obviously sarcastic, there are people who don't know. And we have emoticons for a reason. And to me it is an ASM fig because of the spider emblem which matches the ASM2 one. Plus the texturing in the blue is associated more with the current Spider-man movies than the old (where a similar but much less notable texture was also present). Plus to me the printing seems consistent with movie based figures, whereas Spider-woman has comic styled printing. So even if we don't have official word yet I'm still going to consider it a ASM2 variation. Even Brickipedia thinks that's what it's based off of.
  8. The one coming out next year with a trailer debuting at comic-con on the 18th. And there's been tons of information on it including pictures.
  9. Undoubtedly. But it was better than nothing.
  10. I never said every exclusive made it into a set. But at least a few have. And the DKR minfigure had the same printing just recolored. Literally they just put the same line work on a dark grey torso and colored to match.
  11. That is always a possibility, but at this point I'd like to be optimistic. After all the Superman and DKR Batman were exclusives and made it into sets. And with the symbiote Spider-man we saw his torso used for Venom. I think it's likely that we'll see one of these characters in a set and with ASM2 coming out next year and Lego seemingly having the rights (doing even one minifigure must mean they have them) it seems like a moderately good chance we'll see something in set form. But if not I'll just save up and buy this Spider-man, I'll just wait and see.
  12. Spider-man looks awesome. Printing on the side of his legs is all he's missing (though I would rather the legs be blue). I definitely think this means we're getting ASM sets (Sort of like the Nolan Batman promo fig that later appeared in a set). Which means I'll be able to add a good looking Spider-man to my collection (The ultimate one sucks). It's funny, the printing on Spider-man and Superman looks great, but the other two look a bit low quality (Especially the faces).
  13. I really only want the FF in their basic forms. I don't need either an invisible invisible woman nor a flaming human torch. Maybe as an extra variation down the line, but if we only get one FF set I want them to look normal. Plus if the action figures are anything to go by those powered up forms never look quite right. I think it's pretty likely we'll get a set with the FF eventually, if anything Lego might push out a comic set to try to capitalize on the movie.
  14. It's weird how three of four members of the Fantastic Four is featured... Also the Things head isn't shaped quite right to me. Otherwise though the figures look great. I can only assume we'll see a few of these new figures in sets at some point, if only to promote the game.
  15. For Peggy Carter they could just use Lois Lane's head since it actually looks like her already (Brown eyebrows and the expression). Honestly that head looks nothing like Amy Adams. It makes me wonder if heads like these were initially designed for other characters...
  16. I suspect the reason they include some characters is because the scene they actually appear in is not worthy of a set. For instance Queen Amidala in the red dress only appears in the beginning scenes of TPM. Unless Lego is going to make a Lego set of the Naboo council discussing war than she wouldn't have been made. Leia in the Y-wing was a similar scenario, creating a set based around the minute long ceremony scene in NH was unlikely, so Lego just threw in the variation. It sweetens the deal on buying that particular set and it satisfy's people's wants for minifigures and variations that are obscure. Also it involves play value. Adding additional characters not in scene means that you can create other scenes. For instance adding Nute Gunray into the Jedi interceptor set meant that in addition to showing Anakin's arrival on Mustafar and his fight with Obi-Wan you could also create his confrontation with Gunray.
  17. I somewhat suspect that the evil robot sheriff will be voiced by Nick Offerman. He always manages to play characters that have mustache's.
  18. At the very least the eyes would probably be a bit more detailed. Unfortunately I don't think we'll get the boots, Lego still hasn't figured that one out. Honestly I would be overjoyed if Lego got the rights to the next movie. Megabloks has done a horrible job. Even as a die hard Spider-Man fan I wouldn't buy those crappy sets they make.
  19. I'm really hoping Lego has the rights to do the next film. Those Ultimate Spider-man sets have been mediocre at best and I want a better looking Spider-man minifigure.
  20. The minifigures don't wow me, however being able to change it's appearance to match any of the three movies does. The hood and windshield looks bad, but I feel like this is one of those sets that will be better in person. So I might just have to buy this.
  21. That hood... I feel like there must be another way to smooth that out. Honestly though I'll buy it if it comes with minifigures. Otherwise I couldn't imagine buying this for more than $20. CUUSOO has not turned out to be what I hoped so far, it seems like disappointment after disappointment. Who knows though, maybe by July 18th I'll feel differently.
  22. I think it's just a part to carry accessories. And from what I've gathered from interviews and the trailer he seems to be special because he can build without instructions.
  23. The animation is certainly interesting. I honestly can't tell if it's stop motion or CGI. Yes the characters do seem to move in a few impossible ways that stop motion wouldn't allow, but on the other hand it's so incredibly real looking. Hopefully we get a little more information on the animation soon. I suspect it might be stop motion enhanced with CGI. Though if it is completely CGI than I'm really impressed that they made it look so real.
  24. Wow, looks great. I've actually built Harley Quinn's bike (waiting on a pick a brick order to fix the coloring). Honestly as much as I love the way it looks in the game it is so unstable in real life. The tires pop off all the time (slowly driving me insane).
  25. Well I saw it again (This time without 3D) and I liked it a lot better. Granted there are still undeveloped characters and plot holes and everything still looked too gray, but I can live with those things. my initial reactions were probably a 6/10. On a second view though I can happily say 8/10. I think this is just one of those movies that takes time to sink in (A lot does happen after all).
