Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You never can be 100% certain of course, but usually they are quite well informed. The funny thing is, as there were rumours before, or discussions on what the next set would be, where Helms Deep and Minas Tirith were the two main guesses, we basically already discussed everything we would discuss about it without more information. -
Disney Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That doesn´t really has to mean anything, we have other Disney Sets like the castles, snow whites cottage etc. that are minifig-sets. So at this point it could be anything, a buildable figure, a booknook, a pot of honey with some sceenes etc ;). -

The other System was 20 years of Hogwarts, so with this one there is just not reason for it to end earlier, would actually bet it will stay around. They are all thrown together though, so not sure if they would even send you a certain piece or rather just a random one if there would be any complaints. Resellers would have the same Problem as the normal costumer, though - and honestly, the threshold is still priced pretty fair, so given there are also supposed to be discounts, along with the insiders points and the gwps I don´t think buying from Lego is actually a bad deal - problem could be of course, when you already got all the sets. I think it is good that people get something exclusive but not really something that people would really "need", so you can buy smaller sets instead to just get the polybag and the Room of Requirements GWP and buy Hogsmeade later on with discounts -
Given how detailed the leak is, I have little hope that it is wrong, especially given the source is a reliable one.

Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, that is why I wrote next year is likely the last one, which based on past waves and what we got so far, already know will get next year, and what would be left for the summer wave, I think it isn´t unlikely that they finish it then. Of course that will never be a complete Hogwarts, but I don´t think this would be something we will ever get in playscale honestly. However, there is no indication that this wave seems to not sell well, rather the opossite, even despite the price surely is to high for many. I agree that the horntail is a strange choice and I don´t really like the result, though I don´t care much for Brickheadz anyways, so those who do might think different about it. The Thestral however looks good IMO. Accessoires for Brickheadz aren´t uncommon and I honestly don´t see the issue with Lunas apple - I mean, sure they eat meat normally, but we already had the apple in the playset, so it shouldn´t be that surprising now. One of them is 11ct pp costs 25€ an has only two minidolls - which just shows that ppp doesn´t really is a measure especially not on its own. I think you should hope for sets for the new series. If they make sets for the show, I don´t see them doing a big hogwarts out of several sets like they do with the films, but rather smaller sets depicting scenes. I don´t think we will get more sets just because the wave is doing well, IMO it is already planned through and considering that next year is likely the last one for this system, they are very likely already working on the next one. -
Looks like a normal parrot to me, where someone just cut the wings off (you can actually still see where they ended in your pictures) Of course noone can say for certain, unlike the person who did it (probably the dad of the person you bought if from, so you should have asked the seller about it ;)) but to me the wings look nothing like what a part designer would design, so my bet is on some normal person doing it.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Black Falcon replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm, actually, I don´t. If we would get a castle CMF, I would expect them to include remakes of old factions and new castle/fantasy figures similar to what the space series included. But I don´t think the remakes will include any of this years new factions but mainly older, more iconic factions - however, I could totally see them including the raven knight there - but I would at the same time expect it to be the newest faction to get an update. Well probably, since not every minifigure will be made for Army building, obiously. But at the same time, I think castle fans are easier to please than space fans, where most of them wanted to just get the old factions back - while castle fans are a lot about new usefull parts/figures for their medieval world. I actually think not any of those is actually a thing that speaks against a castle CMF - certainly more the other way round, since all those stuff (aside from HP, which IMO doesn´t play any role at all in this) show the demand - and while obviously we wouldn´t get a new castle series right after the D&D cmf, it showed how popular that kind of theme is, so to me it seems just even more likely, the only problem I could see there is, that they might rather make a second D&D series than a castle themed one. I don´t see that a castle CMF would change much on the demand on Castle/Fantasy Figures in future normal CMFs though. -
Would definitely be one of the highlights of the series, if we would get this. Wouldn´t mind if we would get more in regular series too, like Horus, Bastet, Khnum, Sobek etc.

Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Black Falcon replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah but anyways the point was, that those are two very different takes, with one beeing a buildable character/model, the other beeing ab normal playset. Maybe if they would have done it the other way around, - I would think it is strange (as I think the buildable model is strange anyways, since it surely would´t have come to my mind when I would have thought about whad buildable things they could do) but that way around? No, because to me it just seems like a natural thing that they thought it would be cool to have that scene in minifig-scale too, when they did the other set. -

I wouldn´t be to surprised if she is included at least, but I seriously don´t expect them to skip Ron here, especially because he wasn´included in the manor already. Well noone said we would get it, my point was, that the chamber and the Slytherin common room are the two things that are missing right now, which I would expecgt to happen in this system, but I also said that I would expect it for the big summer set. Anyways I wouldn´t expect the slytherin chambers to be as crappy as the hufflepuff ones, since that one was just a very small module to make the other two modules fit - there is more room for a Slytherin one Actually I have to admit, I looked it up again and it isn´half as bad and small as I remembered and the Gryffindor Common room isn´t really that much bigger aside from including the dorm room, so yeah it will be similar to those two. Is it really that strange? I mean we had more than one buildable hedwig on the shelves aswell as the Hogwarts Express or WWW those where also different approaches on the same thing but still way closer than what we are getting now. And well coincidence? I actually think they knew when they where doing the first that they would do the other thing - or at least talked about how cool thst scene would be in minifig-scale etc. -

I would expect something like the Hogwarts Icons Set, not necessarily including a buildable animal. Not sure what elements would be included aside from the stone itself, of course. That set is just from January, so it would be way to soon for a set to be based on it´s feedback ;). Underground I would guess for the Slytherin Common room. Chambers of Secret would be the other option that commes to mind, but pretty sure we will get that one in the summer wave. Wouldn´t be that surprised if the hospital wing would be in the first floor with just the clockb tower and roof above it. If not, maybe the libary? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Not that excited about this news, but I will judge the series once we get more infos about it and especially when we get pics. Hope we get more animals to the costumes. -

I would bet that it is just a buildable bigger version of the car. I don´t think we would get another minifig one and if it would be a whomping willow set for instance I am sure that one would have been mentioned. -

Well, the D&D Series was last year, so it would be 2 years apart unless it would be the second series next year - but eitherway I don´t think that there is any hard rule about it anyways and it doesn´t have to be next year either - but if we wouldn´t get any the next years I would be totally suprised as it would be such a big missed oppertunity. I´m just happy that that one isn´t going to retire this year alongside with the Lion Knights Castle and the Town Square- 686 replies

Well, but that was a long time ago and nowadays there are way more people that would buy it imo. The number of Adults buying Lego has increased by a lot since then IMO and while they would of course target kids with such sets as well, the adult would be the main target group. -

I don´t think that they tested much more with the booknooks, than if they would sell. In the end you can´t really compare that one with playsets and not even that much with display sets, though they would certainly come closer. -
Yeah, this and stolen mocs or even straight 1 to 1 copies of Lego Sets. Always surprised how many people just don´t care about that... (though of course especially with stolen mocs it is very hard to even know something was stolen).

Which they would only do if they would have a castle theme on the shelves ;). But anyways, a LotR Battlepack would suit for both castle and LotR fans, and among the latter, I am pretty sure there are enough aswell that do Armybuilding and/or can need some figs for displaying battle scenes etc. -

Well to be honest, I don´t see much difference between a LotR CMF and the D&D one in that matter ;) If they would make two, they wouldn´t be one after another and some characters like Frodo, Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf would have to be included in both, so there would still be no 24 charactes with two series - but otherwise I do agree but that is generally a problem I see with the decreased amount of figures per series. For something like the Spiderverse series, or unlicensed ones it might be no problem, but for other licensed series, there isn´t just that much left if you make the main characters and the most important/famous/popular side characters. I think you are underestimating the demand for such packs and more importantly, you are forgetting a whole group of people that would buy them: The Lego Castle community ;). And personally, I would totally buy such a set for Armors and Shields alone (not for full price though). -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Black Falcon replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was on the fence of ordering it, but was undecided. I liked the set, but then again it was another big and expensive set and I ain´t got space for it anyways. I was undecided with the Forestmen Stronghold aswell, and didn´t regret to not order it, but I kinda did with the Siege encampement - well, I actually decided to oder it, but got redirected to the wrong Lego shop where I was able to put it into the basket. Changed to the german one, but when I wanted to buy it there it said it was sold out - so really bad timing there. So yeah, I would like to get it still, but at the same time I am not willing to pay more than it actually was sold for. Anyways, still got LKC and MTS on my list, so this year is still going to be expensive eitherway - still waiting for a nice GWP though. -
I would say the answer to this is quite easy. It is not a question whether they could make a profit with those sets, but if they would make more profit if they produce something else instead - and since we know they do a lot of research on what kids like etc., I would guess they just prefer something more modern, and probably cooler (like Ninjago) over those themes. If we look at past sets for those themes, all of them were marketed towards adults, aside from the creator sets - which I think shows that Lego can sell those sets, even towards kids (though many adults bought them too ofc), hence we got a new castle, even though the old retired not that long ago - and maybe there will be another pirate ship too, since the last one was on the shelves for a quite long time, which would genreally speak for it selling not that bad ;). Anyways, what I was getting at, Lego can sell them, but it is likely just not worth it for them to make it an own line - but who knows, maybe one day...
