  1. Which would make them the desirable figures again and the hunt begins ;). Don´t get me wrong I am all for such figures in CMFs and it always is good to get more different figures to get some variation, but they will never be able to replace an own theme.
  2. Well for the wolf I would say it isn´t that bad luck you had there. I also think one of the main reasons the wolf(pack) is even rarer than the Paladin, aside from obviously there is a wanted figure and a wanted animal ofc, is that it seems that they made a lot more of the D&D series than they did with other series and it also had more demanded figures over all - so I think there was a fresh box on the shelves more often. I would guess a number of reasons really. First of all, surely they have higher costs through inflation ofc and they merged Standart and Bestseller pieces in a new place, which surely costs more money too. But surely that won´t be all to it especially with animal moulds, and overall printed and dualmoulded pieces seem at least partly get more expensive. So it migh well be, that especially with those pieces selling out fast when they are introduced it is also a matter of supply and demand and probably also because those animals are normally the selling points of certain sets and PAB shouldn´t hurt those sales to much.
  3. Bestseller and Standart parts come from two different places, hence the different fees. And the fees are there because it is simply not worth it to handle orders with just 3 parts or so. So I can understand that and why they are doing it. And personally so far I never had issues to find enough pieces to not pay any fees or shippping. The service just isn´t done to order a single figure.
  4. Yeah, sadly it is even harder to get him than it was with the Paladin. Im actually quite glad that the next two series have probably no figure I will care about, and even if I would like one of the spider man, I would think they will be way easier to get.
  5. Lord of the Rings gets one big Set each year - with one Dwarf (well two actually) and most important parts not avaiable on PAB. So this is really a bad argument. Aside from that I would take an fresh Theme with new factions especially Fantasy ones over any returning faction - and in the end I belive the one would be for Icons anyways and the other for a new theme ;) Yeah, would love to get that. Though to get what is listed there, we would need the theme to run for several years and if that would really happen it wouldn´t be good for my purse lol. And I would definitely would need a bigger place with an own Lego-room.
  6. It depends on the part, some pieces are indeed very expensive, especially dualmoulded stuff, but parts like the airtank or the classic space helmet are totally not. No idea where you take the 30$ postage from, no idea what shipping costs for Australians but I would asume you also get free shipping at a certain threshold - which is normally easy to reach. Not that Bricklink would offer you free shipping anyways.
  7. Nice spot, kinda looks to me like they planned to make two additional maps in the north from the beginning, and decided to add more when developing the "second wave - at least the maps edges in the south look like they were both designed to look like the ends of the map. Wondering now, if we get another Arctic Set next year, since that would fit better left to the other two - and a smaller Arctic Set would be great anyways.
  8. I would love to get a medieval style fantasy theme with different factions. Humans, Dwarfs, Elves etc. There are so many things they could do with such a theme...
  9. Are there any reasons to think it wouldn´t be put on PAB? Dreamzzz is no licensed theme and the mould itself was there in all other colours too. So, sure nothing is guaranteed of course, but I would say the chances that they won´t be there are very, very low. They have made limits recently, and personally I do hope they change it so that they put a lower limit on certain parts, especially high recommended ones so everyone gets a chance. And sure, they will likely be sold out quick, but usually the demand settles with time and they are avaiable without issues later on, as were the Falcon Knights pieces, the Lion Knights ones or all the civilian and wolfpack ones.
  10. Which didn´t use Minifigures though ;). But yeah, Elves was a great theme, wouldn´t mind if they would bring something like this or Fantasy Era back.
  11. I don´t see why it shouldn´t. Ha, I didn´t even realise he wrote slave, I did just read space anyways.
  12. How does that matter? Not like you would have to buy the set for them. Just wait and get them from PAB.
  13. Probably just a reference to past Lego themes and the Pegasus on the shield reminds me a lot of the one included in this elves Set: 41078 Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle. Don´t think it is a coincidence that the colours of the shield also match the the ones used in the set. All in all the set is full of references to past themes like elves and classic space (though strange they included another colour instead of one matching to the suit colourwise), as well as recent ones like the 2024 Space plushie.
  14. Yes and now we are here waiting to get them in red in the next years. Pretty sure they wouldn´t have done the white one if they don´t plan to use i to make a red one later on. Yeah, but likely more expensive there than the wolf with figure in the CMF Yeah, that surprised me too, though probably means it might just end up beeing more expensive on Pick a brick. Pretty sure the eye is moulded too. I still think it doesn´t work, and though they tend to be brownish when they are pups, tan is to bright in my opinion. Yeah seems like the same one, which really surprised me, since of course I expected a white wolf. Yeah, exactly what I am afraid of - though hens and so were expensive their too, as are animals in general, so I planned to wait for them to show up in BAM one day anyways.
  15. Possible, we will have to see. Anyways it is strange that they already showed the Advents Calendars, and especially all on their onw instead of together with the rest of the theme.
  16. I don´t care much about Lego cars, so those sets wouldn´t interest me anyways, but I have to say, after the big announcement they made I expected something better. No idea what they thought when they designed the bonnet of the red one especially.
  17. They posted on reddit that the other themes will be shown today so they wait shouldn´t be to long. Though also might depend on where you life, for some it will likely be tomorrow by then, like in Europe.
  18. As already mentioned above, it is a Grindylow. And actually it is consitent to the Lego version of it we got in the black lake set, same is the pixie for the Ravenclaws. Given that Grindylows life in the black lake and the Slytherin Common Room is underneath it and they can actually even see into the sea from there, it makes a lot sense to me that they would choose them. All in all I would say you are probably overthinking those sweaters, they are just a fun little thing they added, but they surely aren´t for everyone.
  19. Creator 3in1 really has evolved lately, the animal/creature builds got way more realistic lately, and the increased amount of historic/fantasy builds and especially increased amount of minifigs really is doing the theme good.
  20. There was never really a steady concept anyways, they have done minibuilds in the past, aswell minifig sized stuff and personally I don´t mind when they bring new ideas to a theme instead of the same stuff every year. I am not sure if Lego builds actually count towards making anything canon, but you would think, the books do ;). According to the Legoleak Reddit, Harry Potter and the other themes are supposed to be revealed today. Have to say, I don´t think the buids of the Advent Calendar are bad and surely kids will have their fun with them - actually I think even more with the buildable creatures than something like the letter (though at least is comes with a Hogwarts Sigil). I can understand why adults would prefer something else, especially things they could place in the actual sets. Also like the sweaters, but still hope we don´t get them every year now but rather some exclusive figures with new prints.
  21. It is. But yeah, an open back to be played with was what we were expecting anyways, so no surprise to me.
  22. It surely is, the horn is the normal small horn they use for years now, quite unlikely they would make an exact copy into a moulded figure. For various reasons. First of all it is Lego and as the horn is a standart part in production anyways, it makes total sense to use it. Secondly, otherwise they would have had to either print or dual-mould it, which would surely have been more expensive to them (and even more for people that want to order them from Pick a Brick). And last but not least, it is also a fast way to add some variation. Lets say they would want to use it again in an other set, but this time use two of them and could easily place one with a white and one with a golden horn inside, without the need for a second variant.
  23. As far as I see it is closed, unless you mean to close the actuall towers ofc.
  24. I think the figures clearly got inspired by their design of the D&D Paladin, which is great, since it should be a lot easier to get this torsos than it was for the Paladin ;) All in all it looks great. @zoth33 seems like we both were wrong about the shields, I was right that the moulded shields would be way to big, but that they could have used this piece for it didn´t came to my mind. I am actually quite surprised how good the unicorn/pegasus castle looks. Pretty sure kids will love those.
  25. Ah, well I certainly wouldn´t be against it, would be interesting how they would do it. A minifig for the statue would probably be to small, and I would kinda expect some play function to open the entrance, though not sure how well you could brickbuild the witch, given the size still isn´t that big. 7 more pieces are hardly an argument though, especially since, again, the number of pieces hardly tells you anything. If you look at both sets, yeah, I see more value in the Herbology Class than in the potion one, especially since the later is built from smaller pieces than the new set. Not going to say it is 10€ more of value, though. But in the end everyone has his own idea about what a set is worth. All in all I do like the Herbology Set, looks great and I am quite happy that we are finally getting a proper Set for them. Can´t really say the same about the DA set, QQS looks as expected, but the Ice Cream Parlour look very small. Not really a fan of the colours either, but I do like the Minifig selection in it.
