I doubt those grand parents care if the main tower is actually higher than the astronomy tower, and would actually not even be sure if the kids would even know that it is higher, since you could hardly tell from the box alone - aside from that, they would probably just show them the set they want - or tell them the name of it instead of describing it.

I do wonder if they would do a minifig scale set, with the citadel, houses of healing consisiting out of two levels - that way it could at least give people an idea about the overall shape of the city, without the need to make a microscale version of the city.

I think this sums it ups pretty well. There where a lot people that had a more negative view on it, but in the end even from those people many started to like it when they got more information about it or saw it live - and many bought it in the end. I think even while most people probably have a preference how they would like it, in the end it will just depend on whether they like the end result or not, and not if it is either one or the other style. Same as many that expected or wanted a bigger area of Rivendell fell in love with the Set and bought it in the end.

There is a leak of the product description on Legoleaks Reddit. And no, it is the only Set so far.

I still like to belive, that they just are selling good when they are released but sales drop after the first months because most AFOLs that want them already bought them. But only Lego will know for sure. But eitherway, I don´t think they are selling that bad that they wouldn´t make any more sets like this.

Thanks for answering anyways. So at least there is a chance they will come around with a Blacktron 2 Set for next year. And well, if not, I still think we have good chances that they keep doing this kind of sets, and if it is just one each year from either Castle/Pirates or Space.

I would prefer a proper Erebor Set over many LotR locations actually. But that is also about the only Hobbit Location I would want to have.

Grubbly Plank teaching about them actually. Parvati Patil and a second student, a small sidebuild and you would be good. And yeah probably the chance for a mostly unknown teacher to come in its own set instead as art of a big set is not that high. But that would stil make most sense if we want to see a unicorn ;)

I´d also say, it is unlikely that she is not included. Sure she wasn´t in any scene there, but they would also make people able to play just some normal scenes with Lunas family live there. Well, as said I am all for a Unicorn-Set. And I don´t think anything really speaks against it, we got a unicorn onscreen (even if it was dead there), and the wheelchair kid actually proves that WB isn´t as strict as Disney with what they allow IMO. And anyways, I wouldn´t think most people buy the car because they like the car as such - but because it is an iconic part of the franchise. I mean, I am male and don´t care about cars, I don´t own a single speed champion, but I bought the ford anglia, because I like the car in the films (and books). Well, we have been over all this not long ago. If you want to have equal boy girl - ratios you should head over to city. That will never happen in HP, simply because they have given characters - and honestly I prefer them to choose the characters that are fitting for the scene, because it just won´t work. That doens´t mean that I don´t understand your need for more girls, but it just won´t work out with a given ratio. The trio has more male characters than females, the weaslys do, Harrys main antagonists are mainly male and I could continue this list. Aside from that. Herbology class has two females and one male character, Forbidden Forest had Ron and Hermione, Potions class has 2/2. The last three Diagon Alley Sets had either more or equal numbers, with this years set including two male and 4 female characters. Advent calendar and Hogsmeade also have equal numbers. It wasn´t an argument, more what they said was one of the goals with the restart. As @BrickBob Studpants said, I don´t see a chance there, since it will be aniversary figures.

Yeah, but the usefull parts get quite expensive because usually the build itself needs a lot of the parts, so the cauldron in this case. Where they that unpopular? And well, if it is included just as a collectors item, it doesn´t really need to make sense within the set, right? In the end, I just wouldn´t rule it out that one is included, but I wouldn´t take it as granted either.

Well, of course not, and if we look through Lego´s recents minifigures, especially in the City and Friends lines but also CMFs, there are enough examples of this and even Harry Potter got a child in a wheelchair. And I am not saying there shouldn´t be more smaller Sets with Hermione or other female charcters, but to imply that girls would only like sets where girls are included is just wrong (and same goes for the other way around) Well, who said that? All I said was that Girls can aswell like sets where just Ron and Harry are included - not that they should all like it. And it is not like they don´t do such sets, like Luna, Harry and the Thestrals, but I do think anyways, that they don´t decide which minifigures they want to include and then create the set, but the set first - and yeah, for the Motorcycle, Harry and Hagrid make sense, as well as Ron and Harry in the Ford Anglia - but honestly I would genreally prefer more other students, and less Ron, Hermione, and especially Harry, but that is another story. Well, you brought that argument here, as only person, but tell me please, where on earth are female characters getting marginalized in the City theme? Also, no idea how much more boys are in friends sets now compared to before, but it is far from beeing 50-50. Also, wasn´t the argument that there were boys who liked friends too and they wanted to make the theme to look less like it was just made for girls? So basically the same you are complaining about what is missing in HP, just the other way around. Well we won´t be getting new moulds for them (at least not for existing animals) so they could change the colour, maybe without glitter this time? Wouldn´t surprise me if it is just the same though. The Hogwarts Icons Set included golden minifigures though, despite not having normal ones - so the PS Collectors Edition might still include one.

Well but Hogwarts is the place where most of the story in HP happens, while in LOTR it is just one location of many. Sure still an important one, but they will rather build the Mines of Moria, Helms Deep, Edoras, Weathertop and so on, instead of concentrating on one location now.

Is it? Wouldn't be uncommon for Lego to put figures from different scenes in a set.

I guess if it would really just be 8 figs it will be just the top of the city and not all (or an reduced number of) levels.

What makes you think girls would only like sets where girls are included?

I think a small set with Grubbly-Plank, with her, two students and an unicorn would fly off the shelves.

He isn´t the only one anymore at least, as I am having the same issue - I am mainly browsing the forum using this function and was quite surprised about the silence here lately (though can´t say for how long exactly). When I check the topics that I can see when clicking unread content, those topics all seem to be older topics with several replies - so my best guesses are it is either that I can just see older topics, or maybe even only topics I already visited before? I would tend to the former though, since a topic which I´ve read yesterday wasn´t in the unread content either. The issue isn´t just affecting unread content btw but the whole activity stream. Also, I suspect it might actually be the same issue like posted there: I had a similar thing happen with an unread topic, or better said, a New Topic that showed up in unread contents, but isn´t in the activity stream now either. Also that replies in older topics are shown but newer seem to disappear sounds familar too... Hope this helps in solving the issue.

Interesting, that they also showed series 8, even if it isn´t the final Model yet. I don´t think they aim for that. But as Castles are quite popular on BDP there are good chances to get those anyways, since (among other things), it is peoples votes that decide on the sets after all I would place the first creator castle here - the Medieval Blacksmith was a civilian building, where the Black Falcons bought their shields, but hardly their base ;).

Where did you see that? On bricklink there is still the old version listed.

Haha, well, I am afraid the wolf is to big to be inlcuded in BAM - and probably will cost more on PAB than a whole figure in the Stores.

So 0,67ct, which is a quite fair deal considering animals or shields usually cost above 1€ on PAB. Wish we would see more of these parts in normal BAM towers.

Very nice indeed. Quite surprised they let people just take whatever they want, since many stores only allow complete figures.

They wouldn´t include the shields if the figures wouldn´t come too - especially when we are even getting the figures from the Minifigure prize machine, I don´t see a reason why we shouldn´t get those too.
