Thanks! Okay, tried to find something difficult (hopefully not too difficult!) from a movie I watched the other night:

I second Porco Rosso. Too bad that doesn't count for anything...

Let's talk about that finale for Gravity Falls! -
Ekimu's a bit boring, yes, but he does have a redeeming quality: Waist function and gearbox. Looks like he also uses the piston add-on for back armor, so he's nicely covered as well.

Sweepz is a rat! That's fantastic! In my opinion, these upcoming figures aren't too impressive, but I'll still pick 'em up. Speaking of picking things up, got Camillot, Tapsy, and Busto today. All pretty cool, but Tapsy is easily my favorite.
-
Even when excusing the atrocious posing, I'm not really impressed. They're just not... Grabbing my attention. Maybe things'll change closer to release, but as it stands... Looks like I'll be saving some money.

That's what I've been thinking, considering they have the same face.

Seaweed mermaid is awesome! I can't imagine these figs not being produced in the future. Just seems like too much work went into them to not end up being figures. Also, that last pic of Sparkks and Burnzie! Ha!

First of all, I need this book. Second of all, wow! Look at that art! Look at those characters! I fully expect the next two years of NK to be plant and water themes. These minifigs are going to be sweet. Love that we're basically getting an art book. I love art books. By the way, Monstrox has the Book of Monster's face. Hmmmm...

Very nice! Love the use of feet for the calves. Never would've thought of that. And the Skull Spider legs on the pelvis is a welcome bit of extra detailing.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Kalhiki replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It'd be neat it it was a new mold that hooked around the neck and sat on the pirate's shoulder. Or if they just had a piece that allowed that with the old parrot mold. -
^Agreed. Pictures of the Book of Monsters would be much appreciated. Cover shots and maybe some shots of a few pages?

The black armor is niiiice. Hope we see it in the future. They remind me of the outfits from TRON. With all the tech in this line, It'd be cool to see the Knights go into a dataspace or something. Like, Merlock gets a virus, and they need to save him.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I don't mind seeing the same team released every other wave (I mean, I pretty much got every HF set that came out!). I'm just saying that I can see where people are coming from. Heck, I would like to see some new characters eventually to mix things up, but right now the story isn't calling for it. I don't know, there's a number of factors. Personally, I like to see new characters, but I also like to see older characters upgraded. I guess it all depends on how the story goes.

My only guess is repetitiveness. Getting the same characters 3 years in a row just seems... Excessive. But I guess they need to... Replenish the stock, so to speak. Except the stock is new iterations of the characters. I guess folks like me who already have the full team from 2015 don't really feel a need to get all the 2016 Toa or all of the inevitable 2017 Toa. It all comes down to "do I need a character I already have, even if it's a different version?" At least, that's my reasoning.

Thanks, Voxovan! Not bad at all. I'm sure they'll fit into whoever they're voicing. Still hope we get voice clips from the show, though. It's one thing hearing the voices, but it's another hearing them from the specific character.
-
Yeah, quick search on the web didn't turn up anything on these folks. I guess it doesn't really matter. So long as the voices and acting are good, I don't care if they're not big names.

All you really need is a 2 module axle. Hook it to his shoulder assembly and use the included hinge bits for the Shadow Trap. Then hook the bow onto that. Though I will agree it's sad that they didn't do that in the first place. And yeah, his weapons are pretty bland. Personally, I just leave them all stored away using my aforementioned fix.

I may need to draw a picture of this. Kopaka giving Malum a piggy-back ride is just too tempting.

Yeah, okay, it's February. I'm a little late. But I wanted to know if anyone made any resolutions for the new year. It can be anything. And since we're a bit into 2016 already, how's it going for you? Sticking to it or have your plans already crumbled? For me, I decided to trim back on my spending. I collect primarily Lego and Transformers and sometimes I feel like I'm spending for the sole purpose of "because it looks cool." Not a bad thing, honestly, but I've realized that I'll quickly be running out of space, and I could save a lot by getting things I only really want. So I decided to streamline my collection. Focus on certain things. Basically set goals of what I want. For instance, Nexo Knights: I want the full team of Knights, so I want to figure out what would be the best sets to get to accomplish that. Transformers: I just want characters I care about. As for how it's going... Pretty well, I think? I must say, by now I would have gotten all the Bionicle sets for this first wave of 2016, but I've been seriously thinking about if I really need them all. So you? What goals did you set, and how's it going?
-
I'd say it's a good start. Extending the tail would definitely improve the proportions. Also, since this is Nexo Knights, maybe no something more futuristic-y with it? I'm thinking jet engines on the wings. Or make it transform into a vehicle like the Robo Horse. That'd be neat to see. (also, pet peeve of mine: arms don't bend like knees. The joint goes back, not forward ;) )

So, Tahu and Ikir arrived in the mail recently. Very nice sets, and I'm glad I went with them. Ikir is cool, and the wings give him a substantial size. Function's fun to mess with. His feet feel a little big, though. Tahu's cool looking. Never did mind the gold, so no qualms there. Love the addition of the blue, and hope that's a running trend in his color scheme for the future. I appreciate the extend/retract function on the weapons, but it isn't necessary. But I do prefer these weapons over 2015 Tahu's awkwardly massive blades. I think my biggest complaint are the friction joints. Especially the ones in the ankles. Makes him really hard to pose (kinda ironic, since they're there for stability in poses, but they make him harder to get into poses). Also, I love his mask. It might be my favorite Bionicle Mask ever. Replace the crystal design with the original Hau's forehead vent and remove the silver blend, and it would be perfect.

Saw the newest series (whatever number we're on. I've lost count) at TRU. Sadly, they couldn't be purchased until February 1st, so just a bit longer.

The big white and yellow dragon is probably the best looking dragon Lego has ever made. I've said before that I really have no interest in the Elves theme as a whole, but damn. That thing is a beauty. Looks very solid and cohesive. I'll probably end up getting it. I'll be kicking myself if I don't.

Except... It possesses many features of the Mask of Control already? That, and the MoCo is the main mask for this year. And Umarak is seen putting it on in the app (or wherever those comics were from) followed by a hint at Umarak's destroyer form. So I highly doubt it.
