  1. Totally missed the part of his post under the screencap. I'm a little embarrassed now.
  2. I saw recently that the PF motor is suggested to be used with the smaller train wheels only. Does it cause problems with the larger ones?
  3. Does that codec bar on the sticker say "140.15"?
  4. I recall Series 1 having a much, much smaller production run compared to other series. Popular opinion is that LEGO did not expect the CMF line to take off like it did.
  5. Eh, it's for kids, so I can see why they do it. On the other hand, I am the biggest proponent to the idea that it's LEGO, so the official storylines are just as modifiable as the sets.
  6. This is likely the Club Magazine Comic that has been long-running for a while now. They always transition themes by having the end of one theme link to the previous one. I dunno for sure though, I haven't gotten a Club Magazine since the Moonstones summoned the Galaxy Squad bugs (or was it the ADU bad guys? Maybe they were brought by the Pharaoh's Quest items, I forget) in the comic.
  7. It's probably a part that didn't get printed for the Star Wars set with the Separatist soldiers. Probably what happened was LEGO produced X amount of pieces, and Y amount of print runs, and X was greater than Y, and they found their way into the after-markets.
  8. Also, the end credits montage (when "Everything is Awesome" plays in full) is stop-motion.
  9. 8 1/2 years younger than he was when he trained Emmet.
  10. Thought there was a picture of him not wearing his helmet with black hair but a not-real hair piece?
  11. I thought that they announced that Ghostbusters bumped ahead of it to better coincide with the movie's anniversary?
  12. These are great! I like these a bunch. I also like wine a bunch, that might be why.
  13. I had no idea I had anything in this thread until just now, let alone waaaaay back on the first page.
  14. Semi-related, but not worth it's own topic: I haven't had any problems with my orders showing up, but I placed an order for the PF IR Receiver back in the beginning of May, and was informed it was Backordered until June 9th. But then every day since the third week of May they've added a day to the date it was Backordered until (currently it's listed at June 21st). I'm not mad about it, just annoyed. My son, whose birthday it was for (and said birthday has come and gone already), is pretty aggravated, though.
  15. I know some people disagree, but I enjoy it when they unofficially expand a theme through the CMFs. Blacktron, Alien Conquest, Monster Fighters (although the argument could be made that it was born from the CMF's, not the otherway around), and now Dino just to name a few.
  16. Dino Hunter has a lot of similarities to the characters in the Dino Theme a couple of years ago, and the Dino Attack/2010 Theme from 2005.
  17. Rock! Never expected to see that here. Anyway, I'm sorry to say that outside of the 4 FoLs I know, LEGO is a generic term for construction toys with most people I know.
  18. Anytime I get aggravated at secondary market parts and sets prices, I remember when I went into my Second Dark Age and sold all my LEGO Star Wars Sets for an intimidatingly large total amount so we could be okay financially when my son was born. Mostly, if I think a set is too expensive, I just shrug and go on with my day. Sometimes, I'll see if I can build the expensive set in a different color palette for a fraction of the price. That can be fun.
  19. Probably has something to do with the "Collectible" prefix on the minifgs giving them more relaxed standards for playability?
  20. Transparent legs with print everywhere but the feet, and a cloth skirt.
  21. Probably the miniature version of his boat from the flashback of what happened the first time he went to the tower.
  22. Reminds me of the first wave Xevoz panther quite a bit.
  23. Not a lot of dudes with red eyes, either, but we got one of those. I'm not really sure calling it a "waste" for being historically inaccurate is the position to take on a theme that regularly includes things like monsters and space robots.
