  1. An Open Letter to NASA: Moonrocks is a pretty dumb comparison.
  2. This thread and the Scalpers thread are just the same thread now.
  3. Thought so, too. Wanted to make sure it wasn't a glitch.EDIT: I guess we'll see in a week or so.
  4. Hey guys? Someone in the States go to Wal-Mart's website and run a search on "lego agents" and tell me what they get for the price on the HQ?
  5. See? This is what I mean. Navy Trooper's just like "Eh, we're getting a GL, at least it's not from that lame Reynolds movie", and Lind Whisperer's like "We've got to have the one from the Reynolds Movie". You guys will never be happy. If LEGO starts making non-exclusives, you'll go back to being upset Batman's in every set or that they didn't make the Guy who Carjacked Uncle Ben (Black and White Flashback version). Exclusives exist in almost every popular toy line, so it makes sense they're here to. You think you've got it bad, go talk to the Transfans.
  6. Which means we'll probably get a (differently printed) Collector when whatever they're doing with Thanos finally comes to the screen, if he actually winds up being that important. Everyone was mad that Green Lantern was an exclusive, and now we're getting one, but they're still mad we didn't get that one. We got an Iron Man, a Captain America, a Leonardo, on and on. We didn't get a Spider Woman, a Green Arrow, a Phoenix, ect. But that doesn't mean we'll never get them. But if we do (I doubt we're getting a Spider Woman, I don't care how popular she is these days), we probably won't be getting those specific versions of the characters.
  7. Cut the palm of my left hand open a few years ago on an old plate that snapped in half when I was trying to take off of another plate. Gotten plate corners jammed under my fingernails so that they bled before.
  8. I'm just quoting this because all the subsequent replies make it seem like this post doesn't exist.
  9. Wish I hadn't paid aftermarket prices for 850486's Rocker girl for her hair, since we're getting it on this much better rockstar. Oh well.
  10. Ran into this a lot when i was trying to build the Hurricane Heist set in LDD. I just rotated one axle 45 degrees, and most of the time that did the trick, but I'd have to build everything else that went on the rotated piece first or I'd have problems getting it to go on after it was moved.
  11. Peter Morris has a set of instructions that start here.
  12. I want Lincoln's Space Chair with Michelangelo so I can remake History Cops.
  13. Feudal?
  14. I keep reading this thread and waiting for the punchline, but now I think it might not be a joke. Is this an actual disagreement over if LEGO should print female features and curves on heads and torsos? After decades of being lambasted for not representing women enough? If you don't like curved prints, don't use 'em in your customs. If you do like curved prints, use 'em in your MOCs. If you want your women to not be skinny, put a regular torso on 'em. LEGO can't please everyone, that much is apparent!
  15. Put 'em with the fairground sets as Mascots. Build an army of their respective animals and put them at the head of the army in a zooyard brawl. Make a Pig Mech, there's your pilot.
  16. I draw a lot, write fairly often, read (very sparsely these days, I'm afraid), and enjoy the occasional video game (although this last one I do very, very rarely). I also do a twice-yearly tapletop RPG, but the older the players get, the harder it is to line our schedules up.
  17. I used to have a bunch of McFarlane action figures (or whatever they are) 10 years ago. I don't know if things have changed much, but their quality control was pretty miserable back then. They break easy and have a hard time standing up on their own (although interlocking block systems would probably take care of that, I guess). Plus, their high level of physical detail makes them a pain to keep clean if you skip dusting for a week. I mean, it's a neat idea, but I'll pass.
  18. Great review! Although, it makes me a little sad I sold ours without ever actually opening it and building it. But then I probably wouldn't have sold it!
  19. Got around $600 worth of sets I want. Got around $75 to spend.
  20. Maybe just tell us what it is?
  21. That bear mold's been around for a while, hasn't it? The paint job's new (and keen), but the accessory's been in a bunch of stuff in other colors and paintjobs.OOPS: I thought we were talking about Spooky Girl's bear because I'm dumb. Carry on!
  22. Reminds me of Emily the Strange mixed with Japanese schoolgirl horror stuff.
