  1. Orange. Dark Blue and Dark Red, too, I guess.
  2. I thought this post meant something totally different. Those cars are pretty great!
  3. Huh. I thought the Genie just had the bun hair from the Sumo/Kimono Girl/Ma Cop, but I guess it does look a lot like the Tracker's hair.
  4. What if you don't play/own/want to buy videogames?
  5. When does the "Open Letter to LEGO: Video Game Preorder Minifigs" thread start? Or are they not as big an issue because they tend to go for cheaper on the secondary market? Even though they are a much less rare exclusive.
  6. I'd love for a wave 2 to culminate with the hooded villain in a set.
  7. While I think this reads as more than a little bitter, it does accurately reflect how I feel about the situation. LEGO will think it is unfortunate that you are unable to stimulate your "gotta catch 'em all" gland, but ultimately they will just shrug and go on with their day.
  8. Apologies on my end too, I'm a little quick to get snarly these days. I understand that this is a passionate issue for both sides and tempers flare, but I've also seen some good points from both sides that just don't get through.Phoenix and Green Arrow are pretty fantastic examples, especially since there were two Phoenix figures in her iconic "Phoenix Saga" costumes, and Arrow is all hyped up because of his television show. And I can see how that is totally a frustrating pair of omissions.
  9. Please, tell me what other fascinating details I obviously missed. I'm not saying I disagree that a red-suited Rocket is a pretty glaring omission, or that it seems a little weird that we got Gamora and Drax in Ravager gear and not the outfits they spend the majority of the movie in. What I'm saying is that you said you were fine with variant figures, and then immediately listed a variant figure as a source of unfairness.
  10. You and agoodfellow are really, really quick to accuse me of being too stupid to understand your satire, but I would like to point out that I totally get it, I just think it's really, really poorly executed.
  11. So what you meant is you'd be fine as long as it's not a variant you don't want. I think it's a little tacky to compare not getting a rare toy you want to something as serious as starvation, when so many people in the world struggle with sustaining themselves on a regular basis.
  12. Keep in mind that LEGO learned a lot about brand management when they almost went bankrupt 15 years ago. We might not have the same long-view of the situation that they do. We may see the things that we disagree with as cataclysmic mis-steps, but they seem to be doing pretty okay for a while yet to come.
  13. I'm excited for pictures, and can guess at a lot of reasons behind this second wave (We can't all get the Sea Cow). Hopefully it will feature new prints for some of the characters, but if not, I'm sure I can find a use for the figures.
  14. Every few months, my hair goes from this: To this: And then back again. But most of the time, all people see is something like this: A few years ago, though, my hair looked more like this: for about a decade and a half.
  15. Going through my old stuff recently. Lotta Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. That last one might be pretty NSFW before you go Google-happy.
  16. Perhaps you should educate yourself on the alternative lifestyle discrimination that takes place in your own country before suggesting that the practices of a foreign country are not okay. Also, despite what you may think, the struggles of a United States citizen are pretty similar no matter where they are from. Lastly, I will reiterate that I never told you how you felt, I merely pointed out that you seemed upset due to the flippant and rude comments about people needing to "get a clue". This is going nowhere. I will no longer participate in this discussion.
  17. I am those things also. I also never told you how you feel. I expressed how you appeared, how it seemed. And you're still doing the "you people" thing. Which is the opposite of tolerance. And you're treading into an uncomfortably offensive territory with your remarks about how we shouldn't be governed the same.
  18. Hey cool.I'm from Oklahoma. In America. Also, getting all "you people" on me is kind of unreasonable.
  19. Because people are still talking about it. Even the FOLs who hate it are (constantly) talking about the SDCC 'figs. They'r scouring the web for information on what the figures are, were, or will be. They're talking about it with each other and non-FOLs are hearing those conversations. Maybe some of those non-FOLS are comic fans, maybe some of them like superhero movies, maybe now they're interested. There's a guy in the "Open letter about SDCC Minifigs" thread who says he was there, and even though he got nothing at the end, the LEGO buzz at SDCC is why he's here.First rule of marketing, there's (almost) no such thing as "Bad Press".
  20. Especially since most of the are raffled off, so you might not even get one if you do go.
  21. Where I'm from, most people aren't all that tolerant. And the ones who aren't spend a lot of money.Maybe take a breath, there. You seem to be pretty upset that people are fixating on one part of your statement.
