  1. From a customer point of view it sucks that the minifigure is still protected, unlike most bricks and pieces. Imagine other companies could produce minifigures too. The flow of history themed minifigures would be endless. Endless!
  2. The pictures are loading but there are many and the file sizes are really big and add up to quite some mb. Takes a long time until everything is loaded for me.
  3. Wonderful diorama! There are many fun details. The pirate villa is great and i really like the skull island and the path under the palm trees Only the ocean looks a bit to uniform imo. Maybe just add the 1x2 tiles randomly and mix in some 1x1 plates where needed?
  4. Nice little island! I missed the toucan but i have 3 koalas now
  5. There is a solid ground for sure. Their "Gouverneursinsel (eng: Governors Island)" and expansions are truly modular and their "Burg Blaustein (eng: Castle Bluestone)" and its expansions are the wet dream of every castle fan With all its expansions is most likely the biggest castle you can buy by far. Nowadays every AFOL in Germany knows Bluebrixx or Cobi.
  6. Welcome to the party! Looking forward to see your pirate mocs
  7. After further examination ... I really like the terrain's transition from wedge plates to slopes and curved slopes!
  8. Nice hut and wonderful landscaping! Maybe the dome could be a little bigger? The vaporator and speeder look great too! Reminds me of the picture at wookieepedia. Good job
  9. Yeah i know. There are many medieval houses in my city and wood can be painted in any color If only people would admit they want the docks black because of nostalgia instead of bringing up, ehm, reasons. I am out of this this thread.
  10. This is almost some Star Wars thread level of entertainment Ask 1000 people which color wood has. There you have it. It doesn't matter if there is some wood out there that is shimmering purple in the right light 30 minutes before dawn or if it is 20 years old wood that has turned grey. If they don't want to use 1x4 or 1x6 reddish brown plates or printed plates like anyone else, i am sure Lego could come up with an solution other than the one which belongs into a museum
  11. Today i picked up another set from the 2013 planet series at a local toy store! Only 10 years after release I got the 75010 B-Wing & Endor. There were two more on the shelfes, the Jedi Starfighter and some Tie. Maybe i'll pick the Tie up next year
  12. The following is just my personal opinion. I don't like the concept of contests in my hobbies (Unless it is for some RPG and you can not win physical stuff) I like cooperation and dislike competition. When there are winners, there must be loosers. And usually some people show up at Lego contests, often grab the prizes, and you will never see them again and they never comment on other people's mocs or engage in the community. That is not my kind of hobby
  13. Same here! Can't wait to see peoples modern remakes of Lagoon Look-Up, Forbidden Island, Sabre Island et al.
  14. Looks great! I really like the landscape. The blue really pops! I love the technique you used for the ground in the front right corner.
  15. Would someone really act against their own interest as a customer and consider buying a mediocre (bad) 215€ set just to show Lego that there is interest in pirates? That only justifis to lower the bar even more for future sets...
  16. So the latest issue of the Lego Star Wars magazine with the Scout Trooper costs 5,99€. That's 1€ more than before. There is a new sticker album included, so maybe that's why they raised the price? Do other countries also have this increased price for the magazines? Next month we'll see if the price came to stay...
  17. Just filled out the submission form for my entries. Basically every time i want to submit a moc, here or for the pirates RPG, i forget to fill out the form(s)
  18. Seeing the set in YT reviews cemented my decision to skip it. Actually it's an easy pass. It just does not life of to the expectations i had on a modern remake of the classic set and it looks rather simple and unispiring
  19. Welcome to the forum!
  20. The angles are great! Nice technique on the floor with those cheese slopes. I also love all those containers and tools, especially the work bench with the lathe.
  21. Great speeder and pit scene. I love the angled walls and the brickbuild droids. Fun comic and story! Great to have you on board. Let the race begin!
  22. Yeah, the fish looks like it is stiff like some wooden stick. I am ok with the pistol mold though. But maybe they could produce a bayonet?
