  1. I never valued brickbuild droids much as one can build hundreds of them just using random parts. Like the gonk droids that come with the official sets. I mean they are present on the box in the figure line-up but they are nowhere close a minifig. I have a collection of random gonks and i love gonk droids in general but they are no substitution for a minifig. But i guess that comes down to ones preferences (like always ). I also dislike christmas themed minifigures as they often are not usable in the natural habitats. The white christmas Ewok? And while ugly sweaters are funny and easily fit in some kind of city setting, or any theme where humans wear normal clothing like Harry Potter i feel like in Star Wars it is just a wasted opportunity to get a good minifig
  2. Hope that dual molded tricorne + hair shows up at PAB (Reminds me of the one from the Disney book. There was also a tricorne + hair. Have to check that as well.)
  3. The advent calendar has only 5 minifigures and one B1 right? And apart from Leia and Omega the selction is pretty meh. The price is insane. Easy pass for me.
  4. From the 2020 Harry Potter advent calendar 75981.
  5. Hehe yes, you are right! I build only like 5 mocs before and wanted to test how the wharf would look like if i use only masonry bricks, with dark grey for the "wet" ones. But it looks boring! I never plan anything and later i didn't want to break the wharf up only to change the bricks. Next time i will build the wharf differently for sure. I'm okay with the buildings though Thanks a lot The monkey is one of the very few pieces i kept from my childhood Lego. I kept only few "special" parts like 3 canons or some muskets, the monkey and some medieval armor. Recently i found one and a half sharks in my mom's basement But 99,99% of the childhood Lego is gone.
  6. Wonderful building I love the contrast between the yellow part of the facade and the rest of the building! There are many great details. My favorite one is the broken downpipe, where some flowers grow. What's the meaning of the build letters? If anything?
  7. Never thought about gloves, but i think together with dark armes it would not look better than bare hands. I am not too happy about the outfit either. It's from Ron from a Harry Potter advent calendar. But it is the only one i can use. I wish i could use Merry's torso from Rivendell. His yellow and green clothes looks fantastic and would fit Hiperion well. But for me it is just a torso and it has no emotional value and so i am not going to spend 15€+ on the minifig EDIT: There are some other torsos in the Rivendell set that would make some nice civilian minifigures in a historic setting.
  8. Thank you Thanks! Thank you! Thanks Thank you! I like the colors of the right house as well! I could even sneak in some of my favorite Lego color, dark turquoise. Reddish orange and bluish green are complementary colors, so colors of this range should work together well.
  9. Nice little scene! Great rock work and door. I love that blue touch of color on the ground. The brickbuild blaster looks great!
  10. I completely missed that minifigure hand space fork utensil! It's such a clever detail!
  11. Wonderful scene! The escape pod and camp site look great and i really like vegetation, especially the reed. And there is some nice parts usage for the palm tree. And welcome to the forum!
  12. Somehow i feel that the Mandalorian Fleet Commander would also be a suitable choice for a magazine. But honestly, we got various Mandalorians with the magazines already and i don't want to see more of them. Personally i think the minifigure selection of the magazines is rather boring (Still i always buy 2 or 3 at the supermarket in my village. They always get 10 or 12 issues and often they do not sell out.)
  13. Sure it is possible. I'd say for any kind of trooper it is possible to show up in the magazine.
  14. The settlement is growing! A small residence and medium commerce for Punto Sur:
  15. Hipérion's stay in Punto Sur was short-lived. He gathered the best accountants, filthiest swashbucklers and oldest warhorses of the Seven Brick Seas, acquired supplies from the local warehouses, and soon an expedition departed from Punto Sur in the morning of 27th Mayo 623. Rumors quickly spread the town, saying that Hipérion got secret orders from King Fernando himself... Others said that one of the accountants deciphered a ancient map that showed one of the Seven Cities of Cibola... but surely these rumors must be nonsense and the purpose of this operation must be something else... The group left Punto Sur through the eastern gate, followed the road (more a dirt trail than a road) that would lead deep into the heart of the island of Maldria and soon the party was swallowed by the jungle... I apologise for the bad quality pictures but i have only a potato camera and nothing that i can use as a background. And looking at the palm tree and fisherman's net...i am much too lazy to edit the background in PS. The grey building on the left will be licensed as a small residence. The warehouse, yard, wharf and house on the right will be licensed as medium commerce. (Proof that these mocs can be seperated in the spoiler )
  16. Yeah and since then we have heard nothing about the set. I just want to see Eldorado Fortress and go back to business
  17. Great build and story! The light yellow really pops! I hope to learn more about Ceniza Bajo in the future
  18. I mean, there is even a goat easter egg sticker in the Ninjago City Markets
  19. Welcome to the forum!
  20. Wow, these are truly impressive! I really like the colors.
  21. That's nice, thanks
  22. It's been pretty quite lately and all we got is the initial rumor. I want to know if the thing is real or not
  23. Nice scene with the building and crowd. The sepoys look great!
