Welcome to the party!

Wow, i don't know what to say. After month of hype buildup it's a bit disappointing. Looks close to the original i guess but i miss a more modern touch. Not gonna get it. EDIT: OK, it has just been revealed officially!

Is any of the pieces at PAB online? I can not find one

Welcome to the forum!

It was just a quote from the first movie I just made pirates out of pirate
-
But it's the best pirates we've ever seen

4. Eventually there will be a new PotC movie with a accompanying wave of sets.
-
Hehe, but it is also the only blog i ever read without dates

What i wanted to say is that both sizes, Lego and Duplo, are copies of Kiddicraft. EDIT: So even the idea of bigger bricks for smaller children is a copy.

Indiana Jones 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb enters the chat.

Yeah, great build! The clones really pop in this dark environment!

It was only settled legally in 1981. The original Kiddicraft patent was only applicable in GB. Kiddicraft even had two sizes of bricks. One size we know as Lego today, the other one is Duplo size. Conincidence? The founder of Kiddicraft was never aware (edit: as far as we know) that his ideas had been stolen and he commited suicide 3 years before Lego sold the first sets on the GB market in 1960.

MERCENARIES TEAM: Introduction

Great character! Welcome aboard -
That logic does not work for me because there are always sets on the shelfs and there are always sets to be revealed in the future. But i'd say, i am immune to advertising anyway. Maybe i bought a chocolate bar once, 10 years ago, because it i saw an commercial, but that's it. I want to get all relevant information about a product early and then make a educated decision But the torsos are the only thing that differentiate the set from a pile of random bricks and pieces As i am no collector and i wouldn't display a set, every set is a parts and minifigure pack for me.
-
Yeah, i don't understand it either. Sometimes they act like some secret service and the next day they ship out the wrong set so it can be leaked long before official release At this point we don't even know the number of minifigures for the rumored Eldorado set. We got more news on September or even November sets. Personally i got hyped when the initial rumor started months ago but today i almost lost interest because we have to wait so long and there is no info. Harry Potter and Indiana Jones have also good sets
-
I really triggered you, no? EDIT: I just hunted some Disney CMFs today in store and also got the paper boy from the regular cmf. First thing i did after i came home was to rip is arms out and change the head And Aurora's torso nicely fits the Rokoko dame's skirt piece from the regular cmf!

Yep, it's a wonderful set! I've never seen any of the LotR movies nor did i read the books but the set is simply the most beautiful set of the year for me. I doubt anything can top it in the second half of the year. (I'm not gonna buy it though.) I wish any future Pirates set will have the same quality of build and minifigures, but smaller and less expensive haha

[MOC] Arrival in the New World, Central America 1500s
Yperio_Bricks replied to A_Goodman's topic in Pirate MOCs
I always keep my eyes open but i never found a paper roll yet. I guess i'll just try and substitute with single sheets for now. They are around 70x50cm of size and quite flexible. On saturday we'll go to the hardware store and see if they have enything useful. Certainly I'll get some more lights there. Little by little, the bird builds its nest- 32 replies

Thanks for your answer! Much appreciated I guess i need much more light. And i also need a larger (paper board) background. I already bought the largest colored paper board sheet in a local store but it is way too small Maybe i can take 4 of them and remove the edges in PS.- 32 replies

Yep, nice blog post Btw, on the blog, none of the posts shows a date? Or am i just too blind to find it? In some years time when a visitor is browsing the blog, he/she will never know when a post was written?

There is the pabfinder site, they have sections for all/most stores in Europe and North America. But Vienna SCS was last updated in December 22 while the other store in Vienna was last updated this April.

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Yperio_Bricks replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree with you and would also question the success of history themed themes. But on the other hand Playmobile has all of the stuff, so there must be a market for toys like this. The have small sets like a pirate captain and a red coat for 5,99€ (Something that impossible for Lego to do nowadays because of...You know the ABBA song) There is a Achilleus' chariot, the greek mythology ship Argo, a roman ship, a playscale pyramide, all sorts of "battlepacks" with greek, roman or egyptian soldiers. Even a ancient egyptian family for 10,99€! There are medieval houses or a viking ship, viking battlepacks... Oh, an of course they have western sets with various houses, a fort, some battlepacks (with cowgirl!) and even a western family as well as a native family and so on... So toys for these thems exist and i would like to see all of this in the form of Lego. -

Wonderful The boat, the water, the landing party! All the guys are looking in the wrong direction haha. What is left of the native warrior? Are there trees or is that some kind of hidden artificial structure? Could you please give a brief overview about your photo setup? Do you use a lightbox?- 32 replies
