Sometimes the names of the entries are very close to others. Should we add the builder's names for clarification? -
Very cool pirate gang! I love that guy with the tattooed face. The monster cannon will surely tear down any wall and sink any ship that dares to come close.

[ENTRY] 1747 Treasure Surprise Remake: Rum Rock
Yperio_Bricks replied to Fraunces's topic in Pirate MOCs
Thank ye -
Yes, trans-blue tiling maybe does not look like a official set but it looks so much better than the azure plates! And it's not like Lego has never done such tiling. The first sets that come to my mind are the big Ninjago City sets.

[ENTRY] 1747 Treasure Surprise Remake: Rum Rock
Yperio_Bricks replied to Fraunces's topic in Pirate MOCs
Nice little set! I love to see such a hiding place for vital rum supplies Guarded by our old friend The face works perfect for the minifig. From which set is the big bottle? It looks great! -
Very nice moc! I like that! There is a nice brown dock (not black!) and with the printed tiles it becomes even more detailed. I also like the roof with the rounded corner tiles as was mentioned by @durazno33 I also like the brickbuild jail and the balcony. And there is even a hiding place for treasures and stuff like that. Also a nice detail with that spilled bottle and the 1x1 trans round plate. That classic door is one of the old parts that are superior to everything we have nowadays. I wish Lego would bring those back.

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Yperio_Bricks replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
I didn't notice an extra whip in the other 4 Indy sets (2x temple, 2x tomb) i bought But maybe i am just unaware of those -
Not when i think about them Yep, some nice minifigure packs Something like this i have in mind. Just some minifigs and accessories and maybe a side build with some useful parts. But as i have said before. Generally my only real hope is a new PotC movie that could bring us a full wave of sets. Since everything takes so long in Hollywood nowadays we might wait forever...

Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Yperio_Bricks replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
I had a extra whip in the fighter plane chase, so that's a packaging error. I also had one of the tomb sets with the extra hat. I don't think Lego would toss in pieces from over production. As for the future of the theme, maybe we can hope for a adult set every now and then? We'll see. Fingers crossed. Lego works in mysterious ways -
Haha nice one! Buy a shark cart now and get a free fish. The shark cart reduces travel time between Port Royal and Tortuga by 274%

Yes, the photo situation is a bit unlucky because the temple looks actually really good! I like the decorations and especially the cupola at the top uses a nice technique with those bar handle clip thingy (don't know the proper name ) Also the solution you found for the prayer flags looks great. And of course there is a lot of action in the scene with the plane and explosion and destroyed bridge. Well done!

LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just came home from the supermarket and while i was waiting at the checkout queue i had time to count the LSW magazines and there were still 14 of them with the stormtroopers. Seems nobody is buying them in my village. -
City was just an example. I wish we would get minfigure packs for all themes! I even considered buying the People Pack - Fun Fair, when it was available, but at the end i don't need yellow minifigures As for the knights, with the medieval blacksmith, the creator castle, the big castle and the potential upcomming medieval village in mind, a knights battlepack would sell in masses. I am sure. EDIT: Speaking about the Fun Fair People Pack... Imagine we would get a 40$ set with 14 pirate, imperial and civilian minifigures

I like the set and the minifigure! And the play feature is very nice. One of my favorite entries so far. Looks like this plate modified and then the corresponding brick modified x2.

I never understood why there are no minifigure packs (battlepacks) for all themes on shelves. Why not have a 20€ set with 2 fire fighters, 2 police officers and a doctor and some useful parts for the city theme. Why not have a battlepack with several knights of different factions and their horses and accessories? Why no pirates and imperial battlepack? Space anyone? It should be a no brainer! People could populate their cities and mocs with these minifigures and would buy them in masses. In my opinion this is because Lego do not want us to get minifigures that cheap. It's simple as that for me. Yes, you can buy some of the parts online and put them together but how many regular customers do this? If you want city minifgures the magazines are a good source but they are only available in Europe. And while i buy most, but not all, issues of the Star Wars magazine, the minifigure selection is pretty boring. So with the magazines it is possible to sell seperate minifigures, or sometimes a pack with two. And there is BAM in stores but for example when i was in a store i never saw a knight. I also never found the falconer from the CMF. Some people must hord them But why there are no minifigure packs on shelves? I don't get it. I really do not get it. I once read the argument that Lego does not want people to buy them and populate their sets from other companies that come without figures at all. Whatever the reason is, Lego does not want us to get minfigures this way.

It's a solid set and there are some nice ideas and details but somehow it lacks the magic or spirit for me. But it is not a set for me anyway since i am not at Bricklink and don't know how the BDP works. Generally i am not a fan of those programs. I want to go into a store and pick up a set from the shelf

I like that set! Nice usage of the beard for candle wax drips.

Nice one! I really like that idea of a small shipwreck outpost. If only the parts limit would be higher so there could be a real base How does it look with a 6x8 plate that covers the build only?
