  1. Nice bridge over the swamps. And great story telling us some very interesting history. Though i am not sure where the lightsaber went and what happened to the sith trooper. Raint and Yperio must have the same tailor
  2. Btw, is there any way how i can filter Ninjago printed pieces at PAB online?
  3. I like the viking village! The hall (if the central building is one) and tower look great. I also like the rope bridge. The minifigures look much too friendly though I'd prefer some more mature vikings with muted color cloths and heavy fur capes. I had planned to not buy more sets this year but by the looks it is very tempting. Will wait for high res pictures
  4. Very nice display! Hope that Legozilla does not create to much of a havoc in the streets
  5. Cat content always works! Nice pirate island! I like the skull with the missing teeth that guards the treasure cave and i also like the ships that must have been thrown onto the rocks by enormous waves. The figurehead above the campfire looks great and the brickbuild mermaid too.
  6. Nice little island! I love those small corals and clams at the shore. Maybe you put some into the water too as was suggested, and see how it looks. I also like that treasure hunter who met his fate once he found the treasure chest with its riches. And the imperial soldier now has to protect his lush island from those filthy pirates Only the back of the rock looks a bit plain. Some sloped bricks will do wonders!
  7. Wow, these look great! Now i want to join the light side for the red one
  8. Exactly! Ninjago is curse and blessing at the same time. These ninjas can travel to space or under the sea. They can pilote mechs and planes, they can sail ships or ride motorbikes. They can fight knights, orcs, other ninjas or evil creatures. They can build cities, temples or castles. And of course Ninjas are cool! Every kid knows that.
  9. Lol yes, the free copies of the Hulkbuster, Eifel Tower and Football Table of which influencers then have to tell us that they are great sets. Some of these influencers will never finish building the Eifel Tower while others will jet to Paris for an event where they awkwardly play with those Football Tables lmao. And it wouldn't surprise me if the toilet paper at the Lego HQ is of fine gold-embroided Brocade
  10. You are right! So i will not get started about advertising then
  11. I never bought a single set from Lego directly. That does not mean that i don't have to pay few cents for GWPs with every Lego set i buy. But It is less about the cents but more about the whole circus around GWPs. But even i got two GWPs last time when i was ordering parts at PAB online. I was unaware of those though.
  12. Of course i was assuming that we are all Lego customers on this Lego forum. Should be true for the vast majority, no?
  13. Of course we pay for GWPs indirectly via higher prices. But it is more like 50 cent per set or less Or do the designers work for free on these gifts? Do the logistics companies work for free when they ship the gifts? I mean, Lego is smart of course, GWPs are just treats for people who need a stimulus to buy a set for its full price insteadof getting it cheaper. Either because they "need" the GWP for their collection or because of the fear of missing out on the GWP. And if i don't spend the money i still have it
  14. Sorry, my English, but what do you want to say?
  15. Actually, that is what i was implying. These gifts are not free! We all pay for them.
  16. I don't get all this GWP shenanigans. Is there really somebody out there who thinks they are gifts? In my opinion GWPs should stop.
  17. Congrats everyone We have seen many wonderful mocs, not only by the winners, but from all participants! Cheers
  18. Use the spoiler tag! It's the eye next to the smilie.
  19. One more thing i want to add because i think the chance is here and now with @Aanchir's wonderful remake on the table (Btw Lego should just take this 1:1 and make it a set and i'd be multiples ). While Lagoon Lock-Up nowadays is my favorite Lego pirates set because it has flair and i like details like the blue and red sunroof, i always wondered what it is supposed to be in a greater scheme of things. Obviously it is a tavern, maybe next to the city wall or an imperial fortress. There is a gate between the buildings and the building on the right is a jail. But why the tavern has a wooden door and a window AND this opening at the front? I know in Spanish (colonial) style buildings may have plenty of such arched doorways at the front. Has someone ever thought about this too? Maybe it is supposed to be such a door or maybe i am just overthinking the matter And where does the ally leads to? I know it can be anything but it's fun to speculate about it I always wondered how the set would look if you would treat it like a bigger modular building. Maybe i will try to build my take on this one day in the future. We'll see
  20. Exactly my thoughts, that's why i was asking. There is no way Lego would give up, for example, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Marvel or Star Wars. These are brands famous all across the planet and cash cows. Lego would be stupid do give up any of these and it would open the door even more for the other brands. As for new themes. Of course i'd like to see a "Lego history" theme! One year they could do a pirates wave, next year castle, western, romans, samurai, etc. But Lego works in mysterious ways and while other companies have such sets and while aliexpress is full of such minifigures, we don't even know if Lego ever considered making such theme(s) in the recent years. Playmobil always had such stuff on shelves. So clearly there is a market. But maybe it is not a big enough market for Lego. Who knows
  21. Wonderful build of an impressive size! I really like those half-timbered extensions of the great hall and also the decorated windows below. Hope to see more of your castle in the future. And welcome to the forum @BoneredBricks
  22. I mean, there must be still a big enough business to make out there because so many of the other companies sell pirate or castle sets or trains, etc. Also from what i observe modular type buildings must be doing well too (That's adult city of you will).
  23. That means all licensed themes but one would be discontinued?
  24. Very nice build! I really like that! The house looks great with the brickbuild snot windows and the front porch. I also like the variety of palm trees. As for the sugar cane, i think we all have been at this point - you buy 100 pieces and it's like nothing Also a very interesting story about the adventures of the now retired sailor.
  25. Great thanks! I have already planned my next mocs. Just have to finish a pirate one before i get started
