Ok, while waiting LEGO to give us Gringotts, Leaky Cauldron or other parts from Diagon and Knockturn Alley (will they ?) I share with you some custom characters: Gringotts' Goblins by Brick Matit, su Flickr Griphook: taken from last year Advent Calendar... ok, ok he's not custom but I can't avoid to put him in the photo! Gringott: the owner of the namesake bank. I used 68498pb01 hairpiece (Griphook), 3626cpb0904 face (The Mandarin) and 973pb3230c01 torso (Mr Borgin). Bogrod: for this bank employee we see in DH movie I used 68498pb01 hairpiece (Griphook); 3626bpb0485 face (2010 Dumbledore); and 973pb4036c01 torso (Griphook and the wizard in Wizarding World Pack). Tom the Innkeeper by Brick Matit, su Flickr Tom Usual, I presume?, the Leaky Cauldron Innkeeper: I used 21268 hair, 3626bpb0588 head (2011 Ollivander) and 973pb4094c01 torso (Bob Cratchit). Knockturn Alley Witch by Brick Matit, su Flickr Knockturn Alley Witch: for this lovely witch from the most welcoming alley in all Britain I used the simple 6131 black wizard hat, 3626cpb2163 head (Minerva McGonagall in 2018 Great Hall) and 973pb3620c01 torso (Death Eater). Enjoy

Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Only considering your list, in order of what I would like: Grimmauld Place Gringott Durmstrang Ship Seconda Task Quidditch Pitch I would exclude Quidditch Pitch. In my opinion 120$ is too much to represent a single scene (and we haven't so many scenes left, basically the CoS match Gry Vs Sly, the PoA match Gry Vs Huf and the HBP tryouts). On the contrary, I think 120$ is too little for a proper pitch with goals, tower, stands... I don't want a Quidditch Pitch, because for me once you saw one pitch you have seen all of them and it's difficult to make something new and appealing (of course, only my 2 cents ). Second Task and 120$ are not two things that can go together for me Ok, you say with all hostages but I'm not sure I would buy what could be a Lake Bed diorama with some minifigures. Not for 120$ (but, of course, LEGO could change my mind ). Ok, Durmstrang ship is something I can start imagine seriously. My only problem with this ship is that I don't like it so much. Our friend @Micmac made a MOC of the ship last year. Lego Durmstrang ship by Mic Mac, su Flickr Then Gringott: as a stand alone to add to DA maybe could work well, but even supposing the 470$ is not Gringott I imagine LEGO would do a better deal selling a bigger set than a 120$ one, maybe a 250$ Gringott+Leaky Cauldron? Ok, the last one is Grimmauld Place: @Slytherin Alumni how do you imagine it? For 120$ I would imagine something like The Burrow, with an important first floor and some others smaller rooms, all behind the facade. So, in the end, I think the most likely sets could be Grimmauld Place or Dumstrang Ship, but I don't know when we can expect news. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

My 1st February order, sent on monday, arrived yesterday Pick a Brick (1) by Brick Matit, su Flickr Taking a look into the new Pick a Brick portal, italian version, these are pieces I haven't found: Mini Upper Part n.5981, code 6390070; Mini Feather, code 6406417; Chicken, code 6063275; Mini Head n.2589, code 6223923; Cape, code 6346533; Mini Upper Part n.5960, code 6387922; Mini Upper Part n.5890, code 6385228; Tile Round 2x2 n.1231, code 6366174; Tile Round 1x1 n.181, code 6371568; Mini Hat n.56, code 6391870; Apart the Cape, coming from 2021 Marvel Studios series, all of these pieces appear in 2022 sets. Between the latter, only the Chicken and the Mini Head appeared even in older sets, while other pieces are only from 2022 sets. As for prices (excluding pieces no more available) in general with new ones I would have ended paying 62,71€ versus 61,84€ (2% more), just for the pieces. The biggest absolute increase for the Bunny piece (2,56€ versus 2,34€, 9,4% more), in percentage for the Wheel (0,37€ versus 0,45€, 21% more); the biggest absolute reduction for the Blacksmith banner (0,6€ versus 0,76€, 21% less), in percentage for the Corner Tile (0,06€ versus 0,09€, 33% less). In the end, I don't know if this long dissertation has been useful at least I hope not to be wrong with my calculations (yeah, I was not so good in Maths at school ). -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BrickMatit replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
If this is the reason for LEGO to stop selling new parts I wouldn't expect LEGO to make you know precisely when the pieces will be available or people could simply wait. For the same reason, if this is the case, I don't expect a new piece to be available in the short term. -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickMatit replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wouldn't buy it too, but... really, the Quidditch World Cup stadium appear for, I think, less than 5 minutes in the movie (maybe even less than 2 minutes). Should it deserve a 470$ set? In my opinion, it's difficult we will see a minifig Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch but World Cup stadium has even less chances. -

Just as a comparison... ... last year I tried to digitally build a small Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch. Well, I'm not a LEGO designer and I don't think what I obtained in the end is something so special, on the contrary I simply put together two Quidditch match sets and added some pieces here and there to make towers taller and to add stands... ... well, anyway, my model is 60cm long, 44cm wide and 23cm high with 2330 pieces. Really, how big has to be a proper minifig Quidditch pitch stadium made by LEGO to be interesting as a set ? The massive 71043_Hogwarts Castle, as an example, is comparable with my model being 69cm long, 43cm wide and 58cm high. Edit: what I mean with my message isn't that it's impossible for LEGO to do it, but that I can hardly imagine how it would be -

I agree. A Quidditch Pitch would be nothing but repetitive towers and stands. Not an exciting building experience for me. The only thing I will find interesting in this set would be Ravenclaw quidditch uniform. But, hey, there's less than zero possibilty I would spend 470 for it -
I have to thank your stubbornness It's a really lovely building. Interiors are very nice.

I have a little suspect... Quidditch pitch isn't properly your dreaming set, is it? Or... are you applying reverse psychology to subtly push LEGO designers to produce it? -
Hogwarts Castle MOC, Harry Potter (Work in Progress)

It's a long time since your first video. I think you achieved a very good result! I like how you made the arches in the littler towers with those half arch LEGO pieces. And I find that the empty spaces created by the angular bricks into the towers managed to make an interesting wall pattern. Well done! -

Ok, yesterday courier service delivered the sets I bought. Damn, I have no time to build them ... ... but I couldn't help but opened Hospital Wing for 2 reasons: to see what Wizard Cards I found (I missed Silver Dumbledore and McGonagall, but after yesterday... I still miss Silver Dumbledore and McGonagall ); to keep in my hand Madam Pofrey minifigure. Well, talking about Pomfrey, I think the minifigures is nothing but perfect. Simply perfect and very detailed: you can try compare the minifigure with Pomfrey images on the net from movies... it's difficult to say what LEGO may have forget (probably nothing). Even folds on the nurse's hat are in the correct place Of course, comparing her with others, Pomfrey is a minor character in books and movies, but it's so good LEGO has given us her! So, answering to @Yope, Pomfrey lives up to expectations! -

Very good! The Grand Staircase is beginning to emerge from the ground It will be a long journey, but I can't wait to see where it will bring us! Cheers -
Great MOC and very good color scheme, it really looks as a damp and abandoned place with mosses, ivy, brambles and weeds.

I hope the same and I'm enough confident I will be satisfied. Yes, prices can be an obstacle, even more considering this year attractive releases. Luckily, I'm not a completist and I have little interest in (and even less space for ) other themes LEGO produced. By the way, I bought new sets online with 15% discount: the shop I bought from is in San Marino and has cheaper prices. -

This morning I bought the new sets. I can't wait having them in my hands, even if probably I will have to wait some time before building them, because I and my brother (we builds LEGO together ) have not much common free time in this period . By the way, I bought Hospital Wing and the two Moment Set, while I decided not to purchase the Trunk. I'm not really interested in and don't find it so useful for me. I admit Madam Pomfrey is what I'm waiting most. It's on my LEGO-please-do-it list since 2018 Hogwarts staff is almost completed ! Welcome @Alas_Earwax -

I totally agree. In fact I read that statement nor as a confirm that we will have DH sets in the future neither that we won't have. A company has its own strategy and it's logical that it doesn't want to reveal its cards in advance. -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickMatit replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Right, this is something we have always to remember to avoid big disappointment I think that characters are more relevant than buildings particulars on defining the set references. Just as an example, there's no doubt that the Chamber of Secrets set is based on CoS movie, anyway LEGO put Dumbledore's Golden Owl Lectern inside the Great Hall, but this element only appears from PoA movie. So I won't find strange LEGO putting the The Fountain of Magical Brethren even in a DH based set. At the moment I think that we have hints that could suggest both an OotP reference and a DH reference. The only certain thing is the fact it's the Ministry of Magic. -

I agree with you. It's somehow interesting seeing how many believed and believes even now that LEGO (and Marcos) was categorically against DH sets! This is the original Marcos quote taken from Brickfanatics (bolds are mine): “It’s definitely not to say we won’t cover the later movies at some point, but they do tend to be aimed at a higher age, which is why we target the first few movies,” he said. “Our overall values are more in line with the first movies where there’s more magic, and the universal theme of a wizarding school is more in line with our values. I definitely think we’re creative enough to sneak in things here and there, so who’s to say what will come in the future?” It's definitely not to say... tend to be... more in line... there's nothing definitive in this statement. Of course, we can likely suppose we will have more set based on the former movies and won't see a full DH wave of sets and we won't see sets like Malfoy Manor with Burbage killed or Hermione tortured or Snape killed (the same way we hadn't Cedric in the Voldemort Arise set or Dumbledore in the Astronomy Tower one), but maybe Reg Cattermole in underwear and Gringott's Dragon yes. -
After reading the previews on the products of next summer and hoping that LEGO will give us a lot of satisfaction this year , I present to you some of my custom minifigures (having some spare time, many other could follow ) Thicknesse; Scrimgeour; Yaxley by Brick Matit, su Flickr Yaxley: a possible character in the 76403_Ministry of Magic June set if this set is based, as it could be, on the Deathly Hallows. Particular pieces I used for him are 4594432 hairpiece (2010 Malfoy); 3626cpb2067 face (Viktor Krum); 973pb1184c01 torso. Thicknesse: if the Ministry of Magic set would be DH based, well, Thicknesse could easily be the misterious character. For him I used 6310419 hairpiece (HP Centaur); 6310419 face; 973pb3230c01 torso (Mr Borgin). Scrimgeour: a character that I fear we will hardly see produced by LEGO (unless we would have a third Harry Potter minifigures collection series), because he appears only in very few scenes in DH movie. By the way, for him I used 4568934 hairpiece (Mr Borgin); 3626cpb2067 face (Viktor Krum); 973pb0899c01 torso. Enjoy!

Yesterday I wrote about a possible diorama with Hogwarts Express model and Ford Anglia on the viaduct. I really didn't remember your interesting comment I don't know who is the source of the 120$ set being a playset, but as you say Ron and Dumbledore big figs sound plausible, mainly if Harrry and Hermione sold well. -

In my opinion, a Quidditch World Cup stadium is even less possible than a Hogwarts Quidditch pitch. It's too massive for a minifig-scale set and so little iconic and interesting to be a micro-scale set like Old Trafford, Camp Nou or Santiago Bernabeu. I think it appears on the screen for no more than 5 minutes and probably less. On the contrary, if in the future LEGO would continue Harry Potter theme, I see possible a minifig-scale Attack to the Camp as a possible standard set. -

"... so, my dear nephews, that was how the war between Switzerland and Denmark began". Anyway, I'm a simple man so I wish the 470 $ set was something I would buy without hesitation or something I would never buy
