Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickMatit replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
7 minifigures for WWW should not be so difficult to guess, I suppose : Fred, George, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Lavanda, Cormac (unless they put Ginny instead of Cormac or Lavanda). More complicated with the Hogwarts Express remake, cause it depends on what Hogsmeade Station they depicted (PS or OotP/HPB). I guess Hagrid could be there in any case. -
[MOC] Hogsmeade Station - SS, OOTP/HBP + WW Versions
BrickMatit replied to Brick Wiz's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks a lot @Brick Wiz Considering 2018 Hogwarts Express pieces (more or less 280 for the locomotive, 44 for the tender, 229 for the carriage) and assuming the new Hogwarts Express will have nearly the same number of pieces, there are nearly 520 pieces to arrive at the predicted 1074 for the new set. A PS station like yours could be possible. While an OotP/HPB station would probably be better for carachters selection, as a building the PS station is, in my opinion, more interestin than the OotP/HPB one. -

Imagining a courtyard scene based set, Neville (and Nagini) would be a better choice than Ron. And considering Scabior main role is in the wooden bridge scene, Neville would be a better pair for him. It's true that Narcissa's main role in the battle is in the Forbidden Forest, but LEGO could easily put her there anyway. By the way, I think Bellatrix is a more iconic enemy in the saga than Narcissa so I see Bella more probable than her sister. -
I suppose, that as Hogwarts Express in 2018, this new set will not be motorised. The 2018 Hogwarts Express had 776 pieces: more or less there were 280 for the locomotive, 44 for the tender, 229 for the carriage, while the station was 203 pieces. There are 298 pieces to arrive at the predicted 1074. If LEGO is going to produced the Philosopher Stone Hogsmeade station I think that most of the missing pieces will go there.
-
The set was leaked by a member on Harry Potter thread before and then pointed out by Brick Clicker on his last Youtube video. It should be out on 1st June, 76423_Hogwarts Express and Hogsmeade Station, 1074 pieces for 129,99$.

[MOC] Hogsmeade Station - SS, OOTP/HBP + WW Versions
BrickMatit replied to Brick Wiz's topic in LEGO Licensed
@Brick Wiz these are really good MOCs. It would be a really incredible coincidence if one of the unknown summer set will be a Hogwarts Express remake with Hogmseade Station! I really like both your stations, but as a set I would prefer the Philosopher Stone one. How many pieces are them (PS station; gates; OotP station with no carriage)? Thanks in advance. -
Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I admit that my first idea about Gringott was a Diagon Alley budget set, with Gringott + Borgin & Burke's + Leaky Cauldron. No underground section, everything compatible with Diagon Alley set. And a secon set, something more like a playset, with vaults and the dragon. My major regret, in case they totally change Diagon Alley style, is the lack of a DA compatible Leaky Cauldron. Of course, I can design it on my own but I would have been interested to see the LEGO solution (I admit that untill now I never even tryed cause I feared LEGO would have presented the set in the same moment I would have put the last brick ). Anyway, remakes are unavoidable in an evergreen theme. And while it's true there's a lot of scenes LEGO has not produced yet, some of them could never see the daylight: new customers entering in the theme will probably more easily buy appreciated and iconic set (Great Hall, The Burrow, Hagrid's Hut, Hogwarts Express, WWW...) more than some obscure set with some rare carachters. And LEGO will try to satisfy also them (and LEGO own wallet ). In general, I'm really happy to have followed this theme since 2018 and had the possibility to buy so many and very good sets and minifigures. I'm waiting some images to give a proper opinion on expected and predicted sets and on the theme as a whole. -

The biggest part in DA set it's WWW shop, with 1624 pieces.e. It's true that inside Gringott there's not too much, but Gringott upper part should be taller than WWW, and while WWW is just on a 16x32 baseplate Gringott could be deeper; LEGO could also add something we never seen like office or similar... so it could easily exceed 2000 pieces. Then you have, probably, to add the dragon. And then there's the underground section with carriage and railway track. How did LEGO decided to realizes this part? How massive? I don't think there will be enough pieces for a second building, also considering that in case you would have to add foundation even for this section. -

We're simply speculating on two prediction made by @bRICKbRAT. He right predicted in january most of the summer sets the day before Promobricks put out a teasear about them. He also suggested the 76419 wouldn't be D2C Knight Bus, when it was rumoured to be, but, instead, a Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set. Now he predicted the unknow sets for this summer will be: 76422_Diagon Alley: Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes for $89.99 and 76423_Hogwarts Express + Hogsmeade station $129.99. I tend to keep it easy and take any leak with a big spoon of salt , more as a cue to share ideas and opinions on the theme than something that will absolutely happened. But that' just me. -

My guess too. By the way, Hogsmeade Village Visit set has 823 pieces, near to the 834 predicted pieces for this WWW remake, and basically the same price as for the predicted set: 90$. So it could serve well as a benchmark. -

Don't know his source, but the WWW model I built on Stud.io using official instruction has 1624 parts (1548 without the Knockturn Alley entrance section). -

I'm not sure he ever talked about a Forbidden Forest set. He predicted that 76419 will be a Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set, describing it as the "Microscale Hogwarts Castle for people who can’t afford the $400 set". -

I humbly admit that your hints, at least for me, were clear enough . Imho I would imagine a stand alone play set that one can use (minifigures, objects, stickers, pieces) to modify his own shop. I mean, it's true LEGO takes sometimes strange decision, but I don't see them producing a Diagon Alley shop with no facade. So, in the end, what we will see it's probably a smaller remake of the 2020 shop, with some further minifigures. And If I've understood your hints about the shop (Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes), characthers will surely be Fred and George plus probably HPB Harry, Ron and Hermione and, maybe Lavender and Cormac; frankly not sure about Ginny. And about the Hogwarts Express remake, as a building I'd prefer the PS Hogsmeade Station. -

Both, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, miss important locations: Leaky Cauldron and Borgin and Burkes (even if Knockturn Alley is not properly Diagon Alley ) and Hog's Head. Between those three, I would put Leaky Cauldron, maybe with a small muggle street section, at the first position; then Hog's Head, with a winter scene to pair with the other Hogsmeade parts; last position Borgin and Burkes. It's true that Diagon Alley misses some shops, but they're not something I can see as a LEGO product, cause imho they're not so iconic neither as stand alone neither all together. -

Imho, the only stores from DA set that can stand on their own as a set are Ollivander and Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. -

Well, I suppose disappointment could be reduced by minifigure selection and what we have to consider with the term remake: 2023 Room of requirement is a remake of the 2020 one, but they are really different (style, minifigure selection, scene depicted); Hogwarts Great Hall appeared in 2018 and as a section in the 2022 Chamber of Secrets set, both in my opinion enjoyable. -

Thanks. Yes, my only problem with a new Great Hall is that I don't know where to put it . I have not so much space and, at the moment, I have 3 different style area: one shelf with the 2001 Hogwarts Castle I bought two years ago, one shelf with the 2018-2020 Hogwarts and one with the 2021-today Hogwarts. But I'm not totally against a Great Hall remake cause I know that for an evergreen theme, like Harry Potter seems to be, it's unavoidable and right having remakes for new fan entering in LEGO Harry Potter. And, by the way, as you pointed, there are scenes LEGO could portrait to make the remake less remake . -

Just for what I remember from movies, I think that there's not so few scene LEGO could depict in a set. Here's a list with scene I remember: I don't know how good sets could be and probably I missed something. HP.PS 1) Zoo scene, with a removable glass as a play function. 2) Leaky Cauldron; this location appear both here and in HP.PoA and it's for me an interesting one, but I don't know how much possible in LEGO plans and I would probably project my own one to go with Diagon Alley. 3) Quirrell's classroom, to serve as a scene in a bigger set. 4) Troll in the Bathroom. 5) Hagrid's Hut, with Norbert, Fang and Malfoy spying from the window. 6) Detention in the Forbidden Forest, with Firenze, Fang and an alive unicorn . 7) Chamber of the Winged Keys, maybe to go with the next one. 8) Harry vs Quirrell/Voldemort. 9) Hogsmeade Station: this would go with an Hogwarts Express remake. HP.CS 1) Borgin and Burkes: an other interesting location, not sure how much could work alone and surely more interesting as an HBP set. 2) Hagrid's Hut: less interesting for me than the PS one; with Fudge, Malfoy and Dumbledore and, of course, Fang. 3) Quidditch Match (with Dobby), remake of the 2018 Quidditch Match set. I don't see this set possible in a short time, cause Quidditch is probably well covered by this year Quidditch Trunk. 4) Freeing Dobby, surely a small set, but a scene that LEGO created both in 2002 and in 2011. HP.PoA 1) Inflated Marge: it needs a particular minifigure and I think could work only with a Privet Drive remake or as a stand alone minifigure if whe ever will have a new Minifigures series. 2) Leaky Cauldron: as like as in PS. 3) Quidditch Match (with dementors): same considerations of the CoS one. 4) Snowballs at Hogsmeade: very likely covered by this year Advent's Calendar. HP.GoF 1) Quidditch World Cup Camp Deatheaters attack. 2) Durmstrang Ship. 3) Triwizard Maze, but I don't consider it so interesting in the movie appearence. HP.OotP 1) Dementors attack Harry and Dudley near the playground. 2) Fred and George escape from Hogwarts. 3) Prophecy Hall battle. HP.HPB 1) Knockturn Alley: see the PS point. 2) Inferi Cave. HP.DH1 1) Harry and Hagrid chased by Voldemort. 2) Bill and Fleur wedding. 3) Forest camp with the tent. 4) Godric's Hollow scene. 5) Lake scene. 6) Lovegood House. 7) Three Brothers tale with a brickbuilt death HP-DH2 1) Hog's Head, in style with Hogsmeade Village set. From my own list, there's a lot of set I would like to see. My favourite three ones would probably be: 1) Detention in the Forbidden Forest from PS. 2) Forest camp with the tent from DH. 3) Leaky Cauldron from PS. And, of course, with an evergreen theme, we'll probably see a Great Hall remake . -

Yeah, I know but as long as Gringotts' dimensions will be compatible with the shops' dimension in Diagon Alley, it won't be me who criticizes LEGO if the building can't be properly docked with the shops (provided it's a nice set, of course, and it has an easy detachable upper part; but I'm pretty hopeful it will be). And, anyway, one could also try to modify the set (even if I usually don't make it, apart for QQS and Daily Prophet). By the way, how do you imagine this set? When thinking about it, I see a set with Gringotts facade plus rock pattern on the front and interior of the bank and vault in the rear; but I don't know how much could it be possible and I suppose there could be other ideas. I strongly hope to be positively surprised. Promobricks old statement was that Gringotts would be in scale with Diagon Alley and I don't think a microscale sets could be considerate in scale with a normal dimension set: it's true that Gringotts is taller than other shops, but I don't think it's so tall to justify a microscale set. Moulded parts for the dragon could bring up the price, don't they? And an inside printed floor (like the one in Rivendell) too. A microscale Gringotts would be, for me, a strong delusion, only partially offset by my wallet relief Oh well, I can't wait when we'll start reading and seeing more info.
