I would love to see a UCS minifig scale Millennium Falcon with an actual interior. Don't think it'll ever happen, though, since the inside-less set was expensive enough already. I'd probably never be able to get one even if it was released.

How to preserve Lego colour on display?

Sorry, I'm not too much of an expert in optics. Do LEDs emit no UV radiation? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For the record, I complete the series (although I haven't been interested in getting the GB figs, paying a fortune for Mr. Gold, and I don't intend to get the Simpsons series). I don't experience that. On the contrary, seeing my collection of 176 figs is very nice, and I sometimes go to my fig case and take out some of my figs to see them again. Whenever there's a new series, I look forward to WhiteFang's review and I always get excited about most of the figs. I guess it depends on how much you're into this, but I would say make sure your motivation to complete series is that you actually enjoy the collection and not that you want to have a "complete" collection per se. -
Liking the new pics. Yeti is better than I expected, love the Evil Mech and the Welder... Was expecting a female robot, not a female toy robot, but still digging the fig. Definitely getting addiced to these guys (have completed series 1-10, so I guess it's a fact ).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm actually really looking forward to see a pic of Mr. Gold. If he doesn't appeal to most people, I really won't mind. That'll just drive the secondary market prices down. I'm down for pretty much any chrome fig.- 1,076 replies

I hadn't seen this and I'm glad I ran into it while looking for 10225 mods! Any chance you could take a pic of all the droids together? That would be sweet!

Your LEGO plans for 2012
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Andy D's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I decided not to spend too much on Lego because spendings for this year were kind of something uncertain for me, but I set CMFs as a priority and set a part part of my savings for them. I ended up using a considerable part of my savings for 10225 and two minifig torches, but it was totally worth it! -
Building Lego sets to perfection
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Kez's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think I build perfectly my sets Lego stud direction aside. Oh, and I don't put the minifigs in the sets. I like to keep them in a separate place. -
Chrome Gold C3P0 on eBay
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to into the blue's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I had a small dark age when I got into high school and hadn't realized that chrome 3POs were out until 2009 I think. I managed to grab one at $75... Did feel expensive, but I knew I wanted that fig, and I had the cash, so I went for it! Seeing these new prices makes me satisfied to pay what I paid. -
New CMF parts in LEGO's parts database?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Aanchir's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great. After such a long picture drought... Can anyone answer this? I'm wondering this exact same thing. This seems to be a leak but it still seems weird for these to come before pics of the remaining 14 series 9 figs. By the way, gotta love that clown fig! -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I got the Stormtrooper and Darth Vader flashlights from Lego.com on sale and with free shipping (had to put in an extra keychain there for that). In addition, I made a big set purchase, as I hadn't done in a long time: UCS R2-D2, at $140 with free shipping on Amazon. It'll be hard to take that set home though. -

New LEGO monobrand store
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Not the whole box. Just one of each of the 16 figs! Although I would probably love to open a box and keep all the figs for myself. :Compulsive minifig collector:- 20 replies

Storage and Sorting LEGO
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Hinckley's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi there. I think this has been discussed in a thread of "Storage and Organizing Lego" around here, so you might want to take a look at that if you want. Also, there's a thread with CMF displays, and you might also want to look into that. My solution is not ideal, but it is very space effective and relatively cheap. I store about 500 minifigs using these boxes. You can put the figs standing in a row, one behind each other, inside individual ziploc bags to prevent damage by contact, and the box will fit about 110-130 figs. The main downsides are it's not a display friendly solution, you will have to remove the figs' accessories to put them in, and you won't be able to put large figs inside (although this is not a huge deal, which I solve by having a separate small box for big figs). Perks are high space efficiency, easiness of finding and removing any specific fig you want, protection from dust, protection from impacts (the box is very sturdy), cheap price per fig (120 figs per $18), and stackability of the boxes. I bought 3 of these last year, and currently have 4. I have to get myself another one soon actually. Can't resist the urge to buy more figs. I can tell you it has worked for me, but it could or could not do so for you, depending on your preferences. Cheers! -
Minifigures Character Encyclopedia 2013
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Whew, what a relief. I do hope they end up changing that. That being said, I'm probably not getting those two books anyways, so I'm guessing there's absolutely no reason for me to feel distressed.- 68 replies
