  1. Darn it, why do the SW books have the CW figures on them? No no no no no no no!!!
  2. I buy a complete CMF set for about $51 on Bricklink, final price.
  3. Hmmmm, and it wouldn't make much sense for them to put a series 10 fig along with the series 7 figs, would it? I think you're right, perhaps he was there just to fill space. Thanks for the info.
  4. I guess this finally confirms series 10 (unless there has already been official confirmation I am unaware of). Funny thing is, the note on the cover page could be misinterpreted as the book containing the actual 160 minifigs. It's awesome to see this theme grow as it has. I love my 128 CMF collection, and I can't believe we have got this far! I'm probably not getting the book, since I hate buying books that are quickly rendered incomplete, but it does certainly seem like a neat book, and I can't help but wonder what the exclusive fig is. However, given the disappointment with the VIP sets of minifigs, I'm not keeping my hopes up too high for the fig, at least for the moment.
  5. This has been probably discussed before, but searching the thread did not help me find an answer. Now that we know this fig is not in series 9, do we know anything about it? Series 10?
  6. I love these new minifigs. However, Lego usually nails it when making alien figs, so that does not comes as much as a surprise to me, but it's still very pleasant news.
  7. Bad news everyone... The owners of this store are the Federspiel group and are going to keep the prices they have at Universal... So much for buying Lego at a decent price...
  8. I feel you guys... I won't be able to attend the opening either. Murphy's law: 4 months after I left to study abroad, a Lego store opens. At least I'll be back for Christmas.
  9. This sounds promising. I'm very glad we're getting a real space theme next year.
  10. Apparently Lucas is donating the money for education, though. Nice MOC! Very funny.
  11. I discovered a toy store that sells Lego right by my college. I bought the LED key light I was missing from my collection: the stormtrooper!
  12. Oldest set I've purchased is from 1978 MISB. There's a lot of good old stuff (some of which is much better than most of Lego's current sets, as good as they are). Often, buying discontinued sets is worth it.
  13. Didn't Lego explicitly state that Series wouldn't be re released?
  14. Thanks for the info! So, what's the deal with these stores? Are they official, or not?
  15. It would seem like there will be a new Lego store.
  16. How I feel, precisely!
  17. that's funny. I guess age is hard to gauge just by looking at what people write, then!
  18. I'm sorry to hear that. Where are you studying? You are right; I guess we're in inverse situations. I don't expect to have much time to visit Lego stores though.
  19. Any Lego stores near you? For the first time, I'll live at a place about a 20 minute drive from one.
  20. I'm starting as a freshman in the US this year. I got a quad, and being an international student, I don't really think that I can take any Lego with me. In fact, I have decided to cut my Lego spending preventively, because of all college spending. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up someday...
  21. I keep 1-2 packets per series since I love their look and colorfulness. Whenever I get a new series, I put all the packages together, and they just look more amazing every time.
  22. Great analysis. I agree on most of your statements. Although I'm not at all upsed about the Evil Robot (I am a sucker for Sci-Fi), I was disappointed at the Alien Female. However, I don't have that fig yet, and this'll be my chance to get it for under 3 bucks.
  23. WHY SO MANY EXCLUSIVES!!! I love that black spidey and that Bizarro, but I'll clearly won't be able to secure them... Make these figs available for everyone, Lego. Edit: Looks like the new Batman fig will have the same pattern as the 2011 Comic-Con exclusives, only in dark gray. SWEEEET!
  24. Yepee! There's nothing like going to the beach and upon returning finding these pictures after having waited for months! At first, I was disappointed. With the pics of each fig on Brickipedia, though, I'm starting to like them. I'll have to analyze them better to make my mind up about these.
