In my opinion, the Batcave is the most memorable of all the sets you have mentioned.- 8,446 replies

Yes, exactly. We're paying more but we're getting more. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

When you consider the quality of the parts and design, and sometimes the licensing fees, I think those $4 become more reasonable. -
71014 Soccer Minifig Series

I hope other teams also get the CMF treatment, perhaps for the 2018 World Cup. I think this idea is awesome and it was very well executed. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet and my superhero collection) I am not as familiar with the German team, and I wish the uniform had a little more color. I'd love some Brazilian, Spanish, Dutch, or Italian minifigs! -

Didn't know Obi-Wan played on the German team -
Wow, very impressive collection! Are there any figures you are missing? There were none that I could see (aside from the CC exclusives, but who cares about those :P )

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

Anyone else annoyed that Mr. Incredible's eyes have the correct color (blue) on the tile that comes with him, but not on his actual head? Edit: Also, the genie looks pretty good without that piece that goes on top of its head. I might get one and leave it like that.- 4,155 replies

These look so much better. I warned about judging these figures too early!- 4,155 replies

You mean for the figures? If you're not looking at either loose figures, separate instructions, sets without figures, or used sets, then it's probably a scam.

We all think like that. Minimizing spending on what we actually buy allows us to maximize how much we can actually buy. But the mental trap here is the benefit of hindsight. Take the Ant-Man set. If you waited say, one year, to see it at a discount, you would have been disappointed, because it was actually retired. So, like I said, it's a matter of using heuristics to deal with the uncertainty of unpredictable prices. The best one can do is avoid buying things too soon, but giving a sufficient threshold to try to grab something before the prices sky rocket. Whenever I buy something, even if I later see it at a discount, I do not lose any inner peace. It's already mine. It could just as well have gotten retired or scarce. Nobody knows, so it's not a simple matter of "if I had waited I could have gotten it cheaper", but rather "I didn't risk it and I did not get it cheaper". I can deal with that.

I honestly don't understand it when people say this. Regardless of the market value, everything you already own stays the same. Your minifigs or sets will not physically deteriorate because of devaluation in the aftermarket. This would only matter if you were to sell your collection. On the other hand, a drop in prices means you can get doubles of things you already own or fill those holes in your collection. Although one could argue that when prices drop it means that you could have gotten a better price if you had waited, prices are fairly unpredictable, and one uses the best heuristics one can have in choosing what to buy when.

Haha, really loving the banana suit guy! I think the face expression really makes the figure better and unique when compared to other costumed figures. The Imp will go really well with the Skeleton Suit Guy. The cyborg looks promising, but I want to see clearer pics. Mariachi looks awesome and perfect, and I might grab 3 extra ones to make a band and have it on display. They also nailed down the Snow Queen. The pirate doesn't look exceptional, but it's still a good pirate fig, and as someone with a lack of pirate figures, it will be welcome in my collection. I think Lego is keeping up its quality! Really looking forward to keeping collecting these series. I'm so glad I started back in 2010, allowing me to complete all the numbered series.

I've never seen that happen before. It also does look like these designs are finalized. I think the genie's two-part head doesn't work, like Maul's head or Black Panther's don't either. I'm just going to go ahead and say that it happens so often that the first pics of something make most people think upcoming sets/figures are bad, and when they are finally released, people start to think they look much better than they did in the first pics. That having been said, I feel like I don't need most of these figures. I will be grabbing the ones from The Incredibles for sure, maybe the ones from Alice, and from there I'll see what my budget allows. Won't really feel like I'm missing out on much if I don't get most of these, though.- 4,155 replies

Are you sure it's as straightforward as that? I think the fact that they allowed Easter Eggs in their games referencing their rival company means that they're not 100% hostile against one another. Granted, from there to a crossover game there's a long way.

Insuring your LEGO collection?

How does that work? Do you provide them with an inventory of what you have or something? -
Could someone change the title of this thread to make it less misleading? I didn't get excited because I figured if this actually happened it would be great news, but the title doesn't make it seem like this is a wishlist thread.

Great suggestions! I would also love to see a Greek soldier, Greek gods, or famous Greek mathematicians/philosophers.

In my case, even if the figures in the Crossbones set aren't great, the fact that it's a small set with figures that are not being well received will probably mean we'll see lower prices on them in the aftermarket, maybe even $6. If that were the case, I'd pick up the figs.
