  1. Wow, really excited about the Web Warriors set! Spider-man 2099 is a figure I'd definitely buy. I've also been waiting for a (non-exclusive) symbiote Spidey, but alas that'll have to wait for yet another future wallet-sucking wave...
  2. You're welcome, dude! Yup, it's even easy to copy paste from Bricklink onto a spreadsheet directly including the Bricklink codes and the names of the figures, because of the html on the webpage. About the exclusive/rare figures, I generally am up to date regarding news on my favorite Lego themes, by checking this website, Brickset, and From Bricks to Bothans. I also once went through the whole Bricklink minifig catalog of every theme I really liked to decide which figs made it onto my wanted list. Now, I only need to keep adding whatever new figure appears that I decide that I want. Also useful is to keep a spreadsheet of the figures you own, so as to avoid buying duplicates (it can get confusing if your collection grows beyond a certain point). Some exclusives are like the upcoming Silver Centurion pre-order exclusive for Lego Marvel, which I intend to buy as soon as it appears on eBay and prices settle. That's Marvel, but the same generally applies for Star Wars. Keep in mind figures like the Boba Fett from 75060 are exclusive to a single set and will probably fetch high values once the set is retired. That guy is my top wanted Star Wars fig at this time, and I'm just waiting to see if the price drops any further. The figs you mention on your list are good choices (glad you're not a die hard prequel hater). Jar Jar never made it to my list, though. If you want to get the original Jango Fett, be prepared to pay a highish price for it. I got mine about 5 years ago for $65, and that was a good price at the time.
  3. Where are you getting the $25 Iron Patriot from? I already have one but that sounds kinda tempting.
  4. I've actually found the lowest price for some figures most often on Bricklink, but also sometimes on eBay and a couple of times on Amazon. Especially if you're looking for a rare/expensive/highly sought figure, you should check all of your options. I got a Lex Luthor polybag for approximately $20 from some guy in Greece about a year ago, and the zombie bride near $35 including shipping from Amazon once.
  5. Quite honestly, I doubt the real thing will be too far from what you did! Great job! You and your son make a great team.
  6. Collecting minifigs can be an expensive hobby, especially if, like me, you like to collect figures in new condition. Some people like to army build, but I actually find the clone troopers and such of little appeal, and I like to focus on collecting main or iconic characters. I basically made a list of my wanted figs in an excel spreadsheet, and slowly attended to it. Often, a new version of a figure was released that was better than one in my wanted list, so some figures in my list were replaced without me even purchasing them. Eventually I got to have a small wanted list of around 10 figures, but only after a really good year in which I was able to purchase several figures at once. My best piece of advice is construct your collection as money allows, keep a wanted list, and most importantly if there is ever an exclusive or rare figure that is released and you want it (and can afford it), get it as soon as possible, because you want to avoid paying premium prices for retired figures. Good luck!
  7. I think Lego made a massive mistake to introduce this theme, quite honestly. The Simpsons is not actually a child-friendly show, and Lego's core demographic is children. Don't get me wrong, I love the Simpsons and watch it often, but its satire is not appropriate for children. I really like both Lego and the Simpsons but I don't think they mix well. This theme coming to an end means more space for IPs and themes that better align with Lego's core values.
  8. I've been collecting licensed figures for years and never had a problem. If you buy them at the right time, you can get them at an average of approximately $10 each. Still kinda expensive, but minifigure collecting is an expensive hobby.
  9. That's Ki-Adi Mundi's "hair" piece.
  10. No Silver Centurion with the PC version of the game in the US. Whyyy is it always us...
  11. Yeah, but if you look at the prices for that 3PO (the one in the Sandcrawler) they already dropped. I waited long enough for that to happen and bought it
  12. Wow, my upper bound was 30 days too conservative. I'm surprised so many people think the astronaut is ordinary. I for one am delighted to see the classic space logo in arm printing!
  13. They probably are going to put each gem in a different set when that happens, forcing us to chase the gems like Thanos! Monster Fighters, anyone?
  14. Regardless we'll be seeing them Jan 1st, right? Like everyone, I'm hungry for pics, but in the meantime the best we can do is wait patiently. It'll be 31 days at most from today until we see the figures!
  15. Ugh, I just bought the polybag a couple of days ago at near $18 because I was afraid it wasn't going to show up in the US. Oh well, it was just a $6 difference over what I would have probably gotten off from eBay now... Edit: WOW, those pics!
  16. Did someone say... "Chase figure"??? I just hope the Mr. Gold fiasco isn't getting repeated anytime soon...
  17. Just out of curiosity, could I ask those who are really upset about the cube seemingly being gone the reason that you wanted the figure so badly? I thought Lightning Lad was not a popular character. I in fact had never heard of him until the Lego figure was announced, so I decided against spending more money on a figure of a character that I really do not know. For those wanting the figure, is it because of the design, or were you familiar with the character before? I'm just curious because I wasn't expecting this cube to be such a hit.
  18. That's interesting, becuase that is inconsistent with Lego's bio. I guess the figure is just whatever you want it to be...
  19. Well, I guess that puts another nail in the coffin for the fan theory that Luke is Kylo Ren, right?
  20. I had this exact problem. And replacing it with Customer Service was a pain... They sent a new CMF 12 packet and it didn't even have the jester.
  21. I put the figures in small ziplock bags and then I put them standing inside these containers, standing up. I can fit ~120 figures per box. They do not get scratched because each has its own bag, and I can take out pretty much any one figure out of the box whenever I want, without having to remove all of the other figures. It helps that the box has what seems to me the ideal height for a minifigure box.
  22. People saying "Legos"
  23. I have a feeling the skeleton guy will be very popular. Just a hunch though, and perhaps because it's one of my favorite figs of the series.
