MOC(s) - Civilization Series - Machu Picchu
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Matija Grguric's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm a big fan of world cultural landmarks, so I find this very appealing. It's great work too. A Sphynx could be great. Besides, the 7 wonders of the ancient world could make a great addition, as suggested before me. -
I wasn't aware that the MF appeared on Episode III, but to tell you the truth, I doubt that it would be a popular set. On the other hand, there are some duels that haven't been released or need re-releases. In my opinion, we should get Yoda vs. Palpatine, a new Obi-Wan vs. Grievous (NOT CW!), the Episode II Dooku fight, the Bespin duel, and the final Episode VI duel.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow! I love that new palpatine minifig! Although my only complaint is that the lightsaber hilt is not chrome... But anyways, the double-sided head is a neat feature too! -

Oh right, and Palpy's arrest has already been released. D'oh. Still, I can't wait to see it with its red blade on the new Palpy fig. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

Nope, hadn't noticed. I'm not a big fan of Ninjago. Even though neither has been released, some guy is selling the gold hilt already on Bricklink. Although I'll admit, now that I think about it, this really calls for a chrome gold hilt. -

Cancelled for the Mayan apocalypse? -
Why? Blacktron 2 had no yellow in it. Just curious as to why you think like that.

I hope the guy posts the review of the other part of the set soon. I want to see that Palpatine fig and his lightsaber hilt with more detail. -
Legoland Bricks
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm sorry to bump this, but in case anyone else is looking for the original site (which was taken down for some reason), many of the original pages are available for viewing on the Internet Archive. Too bad the guy disappeared. He was the expert on promo bricks. -

The main reason I don't buy sets... They're great but overpriced, at least for me. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Precisely what crossed my head when I first learned about this set. I like the CW series actually, but I hate the figs. Palpatine was a must have since a long time ago, and it wasn't done in non-CW form. Glad to see my wishes done. Edit (in response to Kitfistonator's post): Great! Thanks for the link! I'm so glad we are getting also a non-Sith episode III expression for Anakin. -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, that Spidey fig sucks. I'm so glad that Lego has the comic book license and not the movie license, because I'd hate to see such an ugly Spidey fig. Of course, I was slightly let down by Lego's new minifig, but seeing that pic, I recognize it could be worse! -

Some advice please for a lot of 200+ minifigs
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to russianhill's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I think that it would have been better if you kept all the figs together. It's easier then for people to know which figs they are purchasing. However, I do know some people buy bulks of minifig parts. You could consider making a list of the figs included, too. -

1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I was probably busy at the time, becuase I had missed this video. Thanks. Does anyone else think that the music in it is slightly inspired by the theme from Sherlock Holmes (Discombobulate)? -

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, as much as I regret not taking the opportunity to purchase the fig at about $30 when I could, I wouldn't advise so. I'm not saying that I think that it'll decrease in price, since there are too many completitionists who will keep the price up even if we get a new GL fig. However, I'd say it's highly likely that we'll get a new GL fig. We're speaking of a multi-year license and a character that was popular enough to be released as a promo fig on the Toy Fair. Fingers crossed! -
Ahhhh, I can't believe I missed this topic. Your Neo Blacktron vehicles look great! My favorite one has got to be the halftrack, although all of your creations are outstanding! Any plans to make an outpost? Thanks for sharing! Keep us updated if you make any more MOCs for this!

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This set met and exceeded my expectations! I LOVE Palpatine's lightsaber, and it's great to have this fig in non CW version. I expect to get the Anakin fig with cape and Kit Fisto, since I'm missing those two. I would love to own the set but alas, it's too expensive for how I'd like to own it. However, I'm excited to see new pics and reviews emerge. So excited about this year's figs! -

I had a mini Dark Age, which must have lasted about one or two years. I got very busy in high school, and had more "mature" interests. When in 2008 or 2009 I learned of the chrome C-3PO that was released in 2007, I knew that I had to get that figure. And then, my minifig collecting resumed, with great sets and figs in 2010. I'm almost all out of space, though, so I keep buying figs. Hopefully college work won't take me away from Lego.
