  1. I think people have a great reason to fuss over dual-molded legs. Lego has always been able to have hands in minifigs different from the arms in color. It is only natural to extend these to feet. This allows for more convincing boots in figures (like the Batman with black boots, which I love), and the cast in the Clumsy Guy in series 15. Before, any attempt to do shorts on a figure would look incomplete on the back. Take Wonder Woman from 2012 as an example. The back of the legs look red with blue, which does not really make sense. To each his own, but I think dual molded parts are one of the best innovations Lego has done on minifigs for a while.
  2. Also long overdue: Teacher Gender: Either (but I know that a lot of female teachers would love a female figure) Occupation/print on torso: Buttoned shirt, or a sweater like Amy Farrah Fowler's Type of headgear: Nice hair. Type of facial expression: Happy. Possibly with glasses. Color on torso/legs: Multiple combinations work. Possibly jeans or black pants. Accessory: A whiteboard with chalk or a teaching stick. Another possibility is an apple.
  3. That's a common misconception. One that I suspect probably offends the French! Indeed, his height was average for the time.
  4. Cue the scammers. Although that message sounded quite ominous, it seemed to avoid giving too much information on purpose. "Depending on inventory availability". Perhaps only those higher in the corporate ladder know the actual plans, and Lego Customer Service employees are not allowed to speculate. Because of the unusual format for an exclusive, I'm gonna say that it's not meant to be a toy fair exclusive. Also, keep in mind that copies of this fig appeared before the actual toy fair. I don't recall this ever happening with an exclusive in the past.
  5. Not really sure if this has been suggested before, but I think a must-have that hasn't been done is Napoleon Bonaparte! We already got Julius Caesar, so how about another famous conqueror? Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Classic French Revolutionary uniform Type of headgear: Classic Napoleon hat, like this: Type of facial expression: Serious, as he always was in paintings Color on torso/legs: Combination of dark blue, white, and red. Dual molded legs black boots. Accessory: Either a horse, a telescope to survey the battle field, or a sword.
  6. If you look at the Bricklink inventory for each Iron Man, the only difference between both versions is that the old one includes the trans blue bricks at the feet. However, the following note is on the new Iron Man inventory: "The inventory for this minifig is currently being reviewed for possible pattern variations. ~Jen"
  7. Yeah, I just honestly feel annoyed by the combination of scammers and people who are so desperate for a figure that they'll offer exorbitant prices for them, forcing the rest of us to do the same. Anyways, I'm already set with a figure and a sealed extra one. Can't really ask for more. Did not get them for free, that's for sure.
  8. I do not understand... If getting extra ones is so easy, why the high prices in the aftermarket? Sounds like the consumers are getting ripped off.
  9. I honestly would not mind. I collect minifigs from other themes, especially Super Heroes, so having a pause in the regular series always gives my wallet a much needed break.
  10. Interesting idea, but I honestly doubt so. Superhero sets simply have a shorter shelf life nowadays. I also doubt they'd invest in making a huge set out of a vehicle in a movie that we do not yet know is going to be well received. In contrast, the Dark Knight trilogy was loved by most, and the Tumbler would be a safer bet.
  11. Now I will probably also snag that R2 unit. Want to keep my Astromech and Protocol droid collection complete!
  12. I just wanted to confirm that we have no rumors regarding anything special being done for this series 16. It just seemed to me that Lego would do something different for series 16, considering that each series contains 16 figures, and that the series is being released in 2016. .
  13. I haven't spotted this series yet, but I just purchased a full sealed set offline. Series 15, 15th complete series.
  14. Yep, I'm OCD with my figures too and need to keep them with the parts they came with in the sets. I'll probably only be acquiring the Spider-man mighty micro because I feel he's the only one whose face is fitting to the character, but that's beside the point.
  15. I feel you. Unfortunately it seems that the Silver Centurion will be even more expensive than the Iron Patriot. I miss the good old days when $20+ was a price you'd pay for a figure that had already been retired. I'd recommend you to snag one as soon as a reasonable price pops up. You'd be paying a $10 for a little more peace of mind.
  16. The cyborg could be great, but I will wait for pics. I loved the Hot Dog Suit guy, so its sequel (the Banana guy) will, I think, be great! Also excited for the Penguin Suit guy, and the Arabian Knight!
  17. Awwwww yeaaaah, an updated protocol droid!!!! Will be snagging this from Bricklink for sure.
  18. I don't know if anyone is still hunting for the Silver Centurion, but the prices have been rising during the last few days. It is possible it will drop and be more on par with other polybags once the hype is over, but it is also possible that the availability issues discussed before could have resulted in a lower supply. Coupled with the fact that many think this is the best Iron Man figure ever, this might become one of the most expensive polybags. It is too early to tell and the figure has barely been on the market for a few days, but I wanted to give anyone interested in purchasing one the heads up. Although the aftermarket prices right now are bad, they might become worse...
  19. Seeing some great price per fig ratios on these sets (which is what I mostly care about, I should admit), but great prices regardless. I guess my problem will be that with so many good deals with super heroes, I'll need to set aside a considerable budget for this year...
  20. What do people think of the prices for the Silver Centurion in general? Is it likely to drop within a few days? How much should one wait for the price to drop before trying to grab one from eBay/Bricklink? Usually the polybags I buy are at lower prices, but I acknowledge that this is a very popular fig.
  21. I gave up my only opprtunity to get comic-con super hero exclusive figures at a non bankrupcy-inducing price. It was 2011, and there were lots of Batmans and Green Lanterns on eBay. I could've gotten them for $50 each, but I decided to wait for a price drop that never came. Sadly they are now worth 7 times that...
  22. I really hope that if that's the price that Lego plans to ask for the set, that a price readjustment like what we saw with the Hulkbuster (from $50 to $30) will be seen. The figures look great (so far), and I'd love to have the classic batmobile. I could justify $120, maybe even $150 for this set, but not $200+. Hopefully the after market prices for the figs won't be too insane (says the wishful thinker ).
  23. Funny. This is what "Han Solo (Old)" means to me.
  24. Yep, same here. Also I need the figures to be released at a slow enough rate that I can get as many of the possible variants as I like without going broke.
