Mercedes Benz Arocs SLT 4163
Jim replied to JLW Bricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Lucio. Welcome to EB! Since you are not a native speaker, it's not an issue that your spelling isn't always correct. But please use proper punctuation and try to make readable sentences. There's no need to use three question marks either. Furthermore, EB isn't a place where we beg for instructions when a MOC is presented. Thanks for understanding and have fun! Jim -
You are right on both accounts. But contests are already taking up a lot of time and creating thumbnails is quite time consuming. Hyperlinks might be feasible. For the next contest we will limit the number of pictures, so it won't be so heavy.

I'm leaving for a 9 day holiday the 16th so I'd like wrap things up the 14th. Tags will be assigned when I return, after the 24th.

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Jim replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
From the top of my head (so I could be wrong), but I think it's used in the UCS X-wing as well. Edit: http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11272&idColor=77#T=C&C=77 -
Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Jim replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
So the only logical explanation is that a website/webshop would make up part counts for new sets. If you ask me, that the least logical explanation. And the fact that WE didn't get any information doesn't mean that the information is not available. -

So you think they made up the part count?! Wouldn't it make more sense that they know the sets with part count, based on other information than the box art?! Oh and this is not a wish list topic hehe -
@Bonaparte and others; I think this has nothing to do with Flickr or any image hosting service. This is the hickup that we experienced earlier, which we labelled "performance issues". Sometimes the site seems to hang. When you press Enter in the address bar you might see that the post is actually being submitted. I have encountered this issue before. Not sure how to solve it though.

Hi, Please don't quote pictures in a comment, unlesss it's really necessary. Thanks! (you can delete them from a comment when you reply. you could leave the one with Zebra Batman in it to emphasize your point, but please don't quote lots of images)

Some people haven't got the best internet connection. Linking to big images will cause the page to load very slowly. The new board software does resize the image when necessary, but it still is useless to load very heavy images. So please confirm to site guidelines and resize your images. If you use a hosting service like Flickr (or Bricksafe), you can upload the full version and link to a smaller version.

For those of you who would like to pledge, to days left! I have just backed the project with the "Sensory Overload" pledge -
There's a generic star wars questions thread for these kind of questions. They should not be posted in the Rumors topic. Thanks! Now, please back to the original discussion.

Hi, This doesn't belong in the Special Themes forum. Each theme has its own topic. Furthermore, the links aren't working. I will lock this topic.
-
Hi, Nice entry! Please make sure the images you post on EB are max 1024 wide. It's stated in the site guidelines. Can you change the images to smaller version? You are using Bricksafe, so you can easily link to a smaller version by adding "/1024x768.jpg" at the end.

I have written software to count votes. The software has an option to check on Joined date after the start of the contest. This is to avoid vote rigging. In the past none of the results were affected by the check on joined date (on or off)
-
Hi. Your pictures are WAY too big. Can you resize them (or embed smaller versions) to max 1024 wide? Thanks.
-
The entry rules are clearly stated in the topic. It shouldn't be that hard to follow up a few simple requirements.

Like I said; this is just a prelim setup to test some things. -
There's a guy I know, who is always keeping track of voting by new members. Can't remember his name, but he's pretty strict about the voting process

Not sure what you mean? The skin? If you are seeing that. It's not supposed to be live yet. This was just a prelim setup.
