Thank you very much! That’s really nice to hear! I don't like the proportions of 6-stud-wide cars either, but they are still closer to the minifigure scale :) I need to think about that :) I’ve put together just over 10 models that are 6 studs wide for myself and my child, but they are either custom builds or conversions from 8-stud designs. I assembled this set in the Studio in 6-, 7-, and 8-stud widths. I’m not sure, but 8 studs is probably too wide :) I build passenger cars at 6 studs, and trucks and buses at 7 studs.

60407 I bought and converted a bus. The second deck was removed. The bus was widened to accommodate 7 seats across. The driver's seat was lowered and moved back. A more suitable steering wheel was installed. Minor adjustments were made to the color scheme and seating layout.

I thought it would be more appropriate to create a single thread for my modifications - to avoid cluttering the forum :) I'll keep everything in this place. I'll start with my vision of the 75890 Ferrari F40 set. Since I don't want to make it wider, I tried to reduce the height. We also managed to make the nose section sharper and less massive :) The pilot figurine still fits inside. Initially, I also had a version with a wide window and a rear roof section, but I still settled on the version above :) P.S. I understand that everyone has probably long forgotten about the existence of this set (they took it apart for parts or shoved it in a far-off drawer), but it only recently occurred to me that I need it :)))

You're right, the Lego set was originally very good. But in my humble opinion, it's not perfect))) But overall, I didn't change much. Thank you so much for the thumbs up!

More changes :) The rear axle has been moved back by 1 stud. Mirrors have been added – I forgot about them for some reason :)

In terms of width, yes. I also liked it when the SC series switched to the 8-stud width—the cars looked better, but that width meant a slight increase in height, which towered further and further above the figurine. :)

A minor redesign of the garbage truck :) The truck frame and body were shortened by 4 inches. The driver was offset to the right, for which the interior of the cab was slightly redesigned. The trash bin tipping mechanism has been redesigned. I'll likely also redesign the rear of the trash bin to make it a bit smaller :)

But it shouldn't be wider than 6 studs? Otherwise, it won't be suitable for city roads :) And if it's too low, the figurine won't fit inside :)

I agree. Sports cars will need to be designed with a reclining seating position. Crossovers will likely have enough space. Compared to the new Defender, the figure looks really small.

I think the SC series needs taller minifigures :))
