I'm guessing the baby Mario/Luigi figs have the same round body/feet as Toad? They seem to have an arm that accepts a standard minifig hand.

This is the score I'm keeping as well. This is fair. As a Space fan, I feel lucky to get anything at all, and while 2024 City Space wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, it was maybe 70% there. I think Castle/Pirates should also get more sets...with the stipulation that they too must be City sets. 😂

Hey all. Here's a MOC I made in Lego Studio. It's a rover inspired by recent trans green windscreens/window pieces and the newish wheel fork. The command module can launch from the rover platform and function as a spaceship. The rover platform can function autonomously or be operated remotely from the command unit. Here's a pic showing the rear window of the main command module with the small cargo unit detached. Thanks for looking! A couple more pics here:

Nice ship launcher! Hearkens back to 6870 and 6871.

LEGO Fortnite 2024 and on - Rumors & Discussion

Anyone else thinking the leaked Italian Riviera is actually a secret Fortnite set? 😁 -
I really like almost everything about this set, and so I was very sad to find the logo tiles are stickered. Printed logo tiles are a basic requirement IMO, so I will have to pass on this one.

Not sure if unpopular but: The current state of CMF collecting is...pretty good. Scanner apps are way better than trying to feel through bags, which I was never good at. If people want specific figs, getting and using the app is doable. But it's just enough jumping through hoops that kids/and or casuals will still buy randomly. I was able to get multiples of exactly what I wanted of the Space CMF easily with a scanner app, but never by feeling. Honestly if Lego was smart they would make their own scanner app and gamify it a little bit.

LEGO Fortnite 2024 and on - Rumors & Discussion

I'll echo what a lot of people are saying: The battle bus is a home run. The rest are head scratchers. The Durr Burger is not anything a Fortnite player would ask for. Especially in the first wave of sets. A Durr Burger playset with some minifigs on the other hand would make sense. The big llama is much less desirable to me than a smaller llama build (5008257) with minifigs. I play a lot of Fortnite and have never seen Peely Bone. I don't think he's a big part of the lore, unlike Peely. -
I used to love playing this! I bought it specifically for the Space content. Even the cool spaceship you fly around in got a Space recolor, if I remember right. There is a 2024 City Space themed game in Fortnite called Smoothie Odyssey but it's fairly simplistic. I'm actually playing the main Lego Fortnite survival game right now and it's loads of fun. But there's no Space content in it.

LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion
danth replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm looking at that Z Blob Mech as an amazing parts pack for Space MOCs. I love the colors. Interesting that the model with the eyes on the canopy requires putting stickers on the single canopy. I thought maybe there were two canopies, or the stickers were applied underneath the canopy on some other part. Having to remove the stickers to build a different model seems like a bummer, but personally I don't care about the model with the eyes anyway. -
This is the only good attempt I've seen at the tail lights from a MOC. They look a bit slimmer than the official set's tail lights too. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-133279/Rastacoco/lamborghini-countach-lp5000s-qv-redesigned/#details

Thanks! I just bought it! I definitely want to replace the windscreen. Any thoughts on how to integrate a more accurate set of tail lights? If not the big ones from the official build, something slimmer? Agreed. Everyone is saying they're too fat, which maybe they are, but the look nice anyway IMO.

Do architecture sets of famous buildings have to be licensed?
-
Wouldn't they be white stickers anyway? Not sure it would be feasible to cut them out either other than maybe the main Lamborghini logo.

Wow, you don't even want to share your own opinions on the set? Sounds like you have no reason to be here then. Maybe you should go start a thread on ethics in Lego set criticism since that seems to be what you care about instead of spamming this thread with it. This thread is about the Countach set. Anyway, I'm tempted to snag the Porsche 911 (since it's still available in B&M stores near me) and build the Firas MOC. And try to buy the tail light & windshield parts for the official Countach set somehow and integrate them. I'm not above buying the official Countach too, but hopefully someone will figure out a mod to get the windshield flush with the hood first. That's the main dealbreaker for me.

You haven't disagreed with anyone. You've just told them that their opinions are invalid. You've given opinions on other people's opinions. Not on the set. Tells us what you like about the Countach. Tell us why it's good. Not just a guess that the build experience will be good, since you haven't built it and can't possibly know. Tell us what you think of what it looks like, which is all we know so far. If you're going to come into a thread where multiple people agree on the critcisms of a set, and tell them they have no right to criticize, you damn well better have an itemized list of what you like about the set, all the things that the set NAILS, every way it puts other MOCs to shame. You haven't even attempted to do that.

You guys have never known someone who collects everything related to their favorite movie/character regardless of what it is? They have the Spiderman lunchbox but they're not a fan of lunchboxes. They have the Spiderman toothbrush but they're not a fan of toothbrushes. Etc. I know people who collect Lego Spiderman sets along with all their other Spiderman junk. They aren't a fan of Lego. They don't even open the sets. And they don't have other Lego sets.
-
I was having fun in this thread hearing people's opinions about this set. Now it's basically dominated by @eric_son_of_joseph trying to police everyone's opinions.
-
All known 2024 sets for these are licensed I think.
-
Actually I like those Technic ones!

Well I know one thing for sure. I want a big Lego Countach. I just don't know which one. The official model looks great from the rear. People complain the rear is too fat but I don't know if it could be any slimmer without sacrificing the design of the tail lights. I like it. The front of course has obvious problems as @zweifuss has objectively demonstrated. I much prefer the Firas MOC overall with the exception of the tail lights and the windshield.
