  1. I don't know if it has been asked before, but what are the estimated costs for the snowplow when ordering all the parts via bricklink?
  2. I have disassembled the boom. Couldn't spot a mistake. I then rebuild it. It seems to work fine now, at least manually. I guess it must have been the rope that caused the troubles but no idea what was wrong with it. Now I have disassembled the gearbox and started to rebuild it. Hope this solves most problems.
  3. Well the crane not extremely dusty, but it is the only difference since building it. It cllected a bit of dus over the past few years. Maybe I should rebuild the upper structue. And clean it...... Is there a way to test the motor?
  4. Max, I was wondering about that actually. Could dust really have this effect?
  5. Well, few months later now, and the problems with my 42009 aare worsening. There seems to be a general lack of power. Extending the outriggers works, kind of. Lowering them or lifting them starts very slow and then kind of stops. The motor just blocks it seems. Same thing for extending the boom. It just won't extend anymore. However, I don't here the clutch gear. There seems just not enough power to get the gears running. I have changed the batteries, exchanged the batterybox, all with the same result. What is happening? I have build the set, it has been on the shelve for all that time, never changed anything, and sometimes used it. It worked perfectly fine untill a made this original post..... Any help would be welcome.
  6. Many great entries! Hard choices. . 20: 10 14: 6 4: 4 11: 3 16: 2 17: 1
  7. Very impressive. Love how you have incorporated all the functions!
  8. Great review! And a great set, need to buy this one! Great photo's too!
  9. Cool thing! Never seen something like that!
  10. I see you are getting some backlash here, but I appreciate your attempts. Without you trying, we' ll never know. So: good luck!
  11. I like it! Certainly in this scale!
  12. Don't know if the question has been answered yet, but I saw a video and yes, the doors do open..... And clearly it was a 6-cylinder engine, although that was allready established. This is such a cool set.....
  13. It's not the rope, I checked that. I' ll try to switch the worm gear, that is where the trouble seems to be. I did read about that and the joints are connected in the right way. Don't know if that was in the manual or just a coincident...
  14. There is one at the bottom of the boom. There is a lot of tension somewhere.
  15. Thanks, I will check that an d let know if it is fixed
  16. Yesterday my son wanted to play with the 42009 crane. When we extended the boom that didn't work quite well anymore. The gear at the bottom starts to slip. I can't really find or solve the problem. I appears that the wormgear somehow gets stuck, the one at the top of the boom. When i help it extend manually, a little pull, then it continues for a few centimeters and then the same thing happens. Any idea what the problem could be?
  17. It will be epic. Either à succes or fail.
  18. Thanks guys, I guess I just need to try something or and order fromc brick link. I planned on using these: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/224_Curved_Bricks Richie would your second part match those? (The curve)
  19. I' m considering building this Dutch so called 'standaard streekbus' bus. I'm going to build it classic 12 studs wide, to fit with some other builds. Now, maybe this is a faux-pas or not done, but I'm asking your advice anyway. I can't get my head around the front. The bumper part. I have mainly old bricks, so maybe there are parts I don't know I could use for this. I want to create al little offset in that bumper, but I just do not see how to create that. Any advice? At the image it is the part slightly sticking out above the grey part of the bumper.... It mainly the corners I just can't envision..... http://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:DVM_1694_Hoogeveen.jpg
