  1. @me00rjb Too much to digest in one go? It's like 7 pics with not very much text. I think the authors contents in this thread are still less that a normal presentation for a big MOC. I think your attention span should ba able to manage this quite easily if you are actually interested. And I personally wouldn't appreachiate if everybody started bumping their own MOC threads every two days for no real reason.
  2. I like what you have done here. Each part individually looks pretty good, the cab is really nice. But the setup as a whole looks a bit weird to me. The truck is super long, but the logs it can carry are pretty short. Maybe a "Euro-style" cab would be have been a better choice here because it isn't that long leaving more room for the logs. But that's just me, it is still pretty cool!
  3. Wow have I missed something? Which set introduced LBG Defender wheels? I think it is pretty cool that you are making 2 transmission options
  4. This was surprisingly entertaining! Congrats to the winner for recovering from what I had thought a lost cause. Cool game.
  5. I appreachite a few WIP pics after the MOC is finished. It is nice to see how the MOC developed. I don't like this bumping your own topic again and again every few days so it stays at the top of the first page. Just make a nice presentation with the finished MOC and some WIP pictures, and post it at once. This "fake WIP" setup is not a nice thing to do imo. People will think of suggestions and improvement ideas, but in reality they could save their breath because the MOC is done already.
  6. Wow. I have never seen somebody recreate an entire FPS map in LEGO! Only played on this map once at a friend's house so I am no Overwatch expert... But I do think you did a really great job!
  7. Unlike you Nico71 does not create a new topic for every MOC. You should decide if if you want to either A) present all your MOCs in one topic (like this one) B) create a new Topic for every MOC. What you shouldn't do is do both and bump more than one topic per MOC. The first page only has a certain size, and new topics disappear to the second page very fast already. No need to accelerate it even further with double posting. Thanks.
  8. I agree I doubt it would look much like a quadrocopter with the wheels up... Maybe try to use larger wheels that are not as wide, like motorcycle wheels! They could look okay as rotors I think.
  9. I think the details are pretty good, but I am not happy with the sloping area in the front. Those stacked slopes look very block-like, and not very smooth at all. And it goes from staight side to the angle with no rounding off... I know LEGO is missing all the different slopes and stuff COBI has to make this more easy, but the LEGO Titanic proved it can still be done reasonably well. I'd say there is definatelly potential left untapped here.
  10. Need to? It is an opportunity m8! I think a sport car's look be improved a lot with a nice brake setup. Just use a nice and agressive color, like yellow, so the brakes can be seen easily in the black wheels. I myself can't look at the Porsche 911 wheels any more because they don't have brake discs. I know this is a luxury problem, but once one of your cars has brake discs all the others look bad in comparison And now I have started to get 3D printed wheels for my cars because the brakes are nice but the Bugatti/Sian wheels arn't really that good looking... Well, you see where this is going
  11. I love all the exhaust piping! I suggest to switch to the other type of wheel hub where the balljoints are not part of the hub. These don't allow for any brakes, and they are more expensive too I think.
  12. Looks pretty clean! I like the look of the front wheel arches. I think I would have preferred the black on the hood and sleeper cab to be white as well. But well, that's just me.
  13. Arn't you using a single L Motor for propulsion? I doubt that torque will be a problem, especially in such a small model
  14. I like the mix of technic and system elements! Only thing I am really missing is a working drivetrain with a full-sized fake engine under the cabin. But overall pretty well done!
  15. Lol somehow I thought of this:
  16. Looks great, especially considering the pile of garbage it was made from. Still dislike the sticker headlights tho. But you managed a pretty consistent colorsceme and some small details too. Great job! Only the HOG gear is triggering me, that has to be a 12t gear! Idk why but for me the feeling of turning a 12t gear especially makes me feel calm and a bit happy. I think it is the nostalgia that links the feeling to happy days long gone.
  17. Everybody starts small, and this certainly is a small start. But that's how you gain experience Adjusting the wheel size is not really a good solution. The gearing in the drivetrain is what matters in determining how the motor's power get to the wheels.
  18. @RichTech has it occured to you that you can PM people if you have a question? That way you don't have to revive an old thread...
  19. @jovel Well it is a more impractical 3L pin so Idk why anyone would bother to use it instead of the normal 3L pin
  20. Would be cool if you coluld make the hand movements with a Motor instead
  21. I don't get the point of this thread. You tested the connection irl, it worked well, end of story.
  22. @MinusAndy I have no experience myself, but I have heared from others that carbon fiber axles in general really do perform better in high torque cases than normal ones. Not for purists:
  23. @MinusAndy I don't know where you've been looking, but I can get any panel in dbg except the wheel arches (from china) I like this project, so if you need some help with getting some bricks needed feel free to hit me up
  24. @allanp That sounds better for sure. In your case the model is hanging on the wall with the hook at the top. In the video the connector was mounted in a fixed position in the middle of the model, so half of the models weight is above the connector. Looks very sketchy imo.
  25. Holy F mounting such a huge car to the wall using a single technic connector is a terrible idea imo. At least do the same setup twice, one in the front and one in the back. That way the car doesn't break off immediately if someone were to touch it.
