#wewantaucsgonkdroid, I'm flying to denmark now to stand outside the LEGO house with an amplifier playing gonk droid noises. Unironically I actually think that a gonk droid in the style of yoda or porg could sell well. Yeah, I feel like just increasing the number of army-builder figures per set would make them a lot easier to get. I mean, just look at the bricklink prices of 501st troopers, or even the 212th troopers that came in a battle pack and now cost more than the battle pack did at release. As for the Army of the Republic set, I had a kind of similar idea awhile back of sort of "starter sets" for factions, though they were more like slightly enlarged 501st battle packs than your idea of massive sets that can have stuff like AT-ATs and republic dropships. I like the idea of massive sets that have basically an entire faction, if you'll allow me to try a few: ($299.99) Grand Army of the Republic: AT-TE, AV-7 (between sizes of it's standalone set and the battle pack it was in), LAAT, 2x AT-RTs (accurately sized), 2x BARC speeders, 4x p2 shinies, 2x 501st, 2x 212th, 2x clone pilot, Rex, Cody, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-wan, based on their season 3-5 character models, but still in the normal style without the weird eyes. ($299.99) Separatist alliance: Hailfire droid, Octupurra droid, Droid gunship, platoon attack craft, 2x droidika, 2x dwarf spider droid, 12x b1s, 6x b2s, 4x bx commandos, commando captain, Dooku, Grievous, Cad Bane(I don't really know who to put for the last named character) ($299.99) Rebel alliance (had to get creative, they only have one well known ground vehicle): U-wing, t-47 snowspeeder, stolen juggernaut tank, X-34 with repeating blaster mounted like in battlefront 2, speeder bike, p-tower, DF-9, 4x rebel trooper, 2x honor guard, 2x rebel commando, 2x snowspeeder pilot, 1x rebel pilot, Han, Chewbacca, Leia (hoth), Luke (yavin jacket, no medal). ($299.99) Galactic empire: AT-AT, AT-ST, imperial dropship, E-web, 2 speeder bikes, 4x stormtrooper, 2x scout trooper, 2x at-at pilots, 1x at-st pilot, 1x shuttle pilot, stormtrooper commander, stormtrooper seargent, Vader, Palptine, Tarkin.

He's referring to the fact that you said the model was sturdy and then later admitted you never built it, seemingly contradicting yourself since you hadn't mentioned this physical design yet. would you mind showing images of your physical design? if the asthetic parts are different it's possible it weighs more, which could change stability, and I'm also interested to see that design physically.

As much as I like clone battalions, I'm gonna have to agree with you here. The 501st campaign may have started meaning well but it quickly became annoying and sounding entitled, and the scenario @501stover212th is, meaning no offense to him, incredibly unrealistic to expect. If i'm reading this right, he's saying they "need to be heard" that lego has to make more battle packs not only of the clone legions, but sets containing all the major named clones of each legion alongside them. Even assuming lego did this, it would either be spread out along a REALLY long time (which is fine, 1-2 clone sets a wave would be great), or it'd be a few years of basically only getting GAR sets, which would be terrible not only for sales but for any fans that like any bit of star wars besides the republic. Again, I'm all for getting more clone sets, but let's make our voices heard with our wallets by buying up that 501st set, not with unrealistic "demands".

Yeah, whenever I order on lego.com US the total is 10% more than the sets' retail price. Doesn't sound that bad until suddenly you have to pay $220 for the A-wing instead of $200. Yeah, they really need to do an ahsoka this wave, or at least in january 2021. We haven't had a clone wars ahsoka in 7 years, and the rebels ahsoka only came in an expensive set that's been retired for years. There's clearly demand, looking at bricklink the only ahsoka figure that's not really expensive for a figure is her s1/s2 costume, the worst of her costumes and the one with only one facial expression. The s3-s5 costume only has one seller in north america ($42), and the rebels one is $130, the same cost as the set she came in originally came out. Yes, from what I gather the $100 set is almost certainly coming but we don't know what it is, and the other set is just a possibility, not even confirmed that it'll release at all. -

I just did a few google searches and it appears that the rate changed from a dollar being worth .73ish euros to .93, but that would make them closer in price, right? It could also be part of the reason for prices increasing in sweden. However the exchange rates work out, I still feel the AT-AT is overpriced compared to other SW sets around the same cost. If the social media managers already have images ready to go would that bode well for the rest of the augest sets being revealed alongside the AT-AT? -

I doubt that. I can't remember the last time we didn't have the fall UCS set. But yeah, my maul/ahsoka brickheadz comment was meant as if it was instead of a set with their figures, as you suspected. I wouldn't hate the brickheadz set if a set with them as figures came alongside it, especially since it'd be cool to see Ahsoka's head-tails (is that just for twilecks? If so, what are those things togrutas have on their head called?) made on a brickheadz figure. -
Wait, which helmet type are there four of?

It's only 30 euros more, but in america it's $50 more. Given that I believe the euro and dollar are pretty close, it might not be that bad in europe, but it is a bad price in america. I wish they put that pack on pre-order, I'll never be able to get hold of any copies save getting up at 3am on august first. yup. "you wanted ahsoka and maul? Here's brickheadz of them instead of minifigures" -
[REVIEW] 75276 - Stormtrooper Helmet
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As a student, I can confirm that in america at least a 72.5% is bad, and a 65% would probably kill me. yeah, the way the mouth comes out really makes it look like the original helmet print. -

It would make sense, but lego doesn't like to make sense when it comes to revealed/leaked sets. Like that one time a set (I think it was for the new wonder woman film?) leaked, and they ordered a takedown of the images despite the fact that people were finding it on-shelf in stores already. Yeah, we need some more mauldalorians. I have the same conundrum. It's a great set, but $160 is such an outlandish price I wouldn't have believed it if Landino didn't confirm it. Like, this isn't the normal "legos are expensive" stuff, this is more overpriced than most other sets. But on the other hand, it'll still be the cheapest way to get a system-scale AT-AT, and I don't have one yet. I wonder if it would be cheaper to bricklink the parts? Aside from the sand blue chairs and a few other pieces, it shouldn't be difficult, and I already have the older version of almost all the figures. -
Forgot about that thing. I guess it would depend on how well that sold, though like you say I wouldn't expect many kids to want "leia sits there as luke floats in a tank in his underwear" either. But don't get me wrong, I'd love a rebel command center, and if they can make a set like hoth medical chamber, they can probably make a yavin set too. Although I'd prefer a MBS yavin set, or maybe something like Vader's castle, but like you said those are bigger risks for lego. A set of each of those sizes (there will be overlap, it'd be one of these of the three, not all of them at once): Yavin base ($29.99): command center area with a sliding door and holotables/consoles. Comes with Leia, Mon Mothma, and a rebel fleet trooper. Yavin temple ($129.99): build is not as tall as vader's castle, only 2 floors, but has a larger base. Hanger with x-wing in a similar size to vader's tie from the castle, command center, medal hallway, small armory. Comes with Luke (yellow jacket, molded medal), han (molded medal), Leia, Mon Mothma, and 2 rebel fleet troopers. Yavin temple ($349.99): Much larger build, similar size to the top half of the death star, but is made to look like the temple itself. Has a large hanger with midi-sized x-wing and y-wing, command center, ceremony hallway, armory, breifing room, etc, as well as a midi-sized TIE fighter. Comes with Luke (yellow jacket, molded medal), han (molded medal), Leia, Mon Mothma, General Dodanna, Chewbacca, Wedge, Biggs, r2-d2, other astromech, 4 rebel honor guard, 2 rebel fleet troopers, 2 rebel technicians, "rebel friend" (rebel fleet trooper with red undershirt from the old lego star wars game), stormtrooper, and TIE pilot.

I wonder what's up with this slow trickle. Sure, the 501st set was the result of a fan campaign, but the AT-AT has significantly less going for it. Did they reveal it earlier because it's for the empire strikes back anniversary, I guess? Ahsoka and Maul brickheadz. That way Lego's technically given us a set of the ahsoka/maul duel, except everyone is still disappointed. -

I mean, I felt like the first 8 were just your average TCW episodes, not stellar but not that bad either, and then the last four episodes made the best arc in the show. But how could you not want the mandalorians? I feel like this would have been the ideal time to get another AT-TE and LAAT. If I understood Landino correctly, he has reason to believe 75318 exists and could be coming, but has no other information he can share. @Childish_Landino please correct me if I'm wrong. If it is coming, I think just from logic it probably won't be that expensive, seeing as we have the $80 grievous starfighter, $100 retailer exclusive, and $130 razor crest all within a month. -
[MOC] Beaker bust - from The Muppet Show
Mandalorianknight replied to jp-30's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like the new nose (A great model in general, too), and think you've really captured Beaker's essence pretty well. From what I remember of the show Honeydew's experiments constantly caused him to light on fire or something of the sort, and you capture the expression he has really well. -
sadly we see alot of stuff in the game that's not in the sets. Molded Banthas, all sorts of figures, etc. I think the problem with getting a Yavin base set is that there's no conflict on the base itself, so appeal to children is limited. I think an MBS style set would be their best bet, but after Cloud City sold poorly I don't think they'll be inclined to make more anytime soon.

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
always annoys me when people post their own stuff to the legoleaks hashtag. If it's not real lego, don't post it! Especially when it looks vaguely like something lego would put out (though the specific figures that showed up weren't that good IMO) To try to add some relevance, speaking of the inhumans, it is a shame we probably won't see them in sets for a long time, since their MCU debut failed and LEGO seems to mainly do figures who also appear in the MCU, even if it's the comic version. -

That's unfortunate, why would they price it so high? Set possibility is intriguing. I have also noticed this unfortunate trend, and the confirmed price of $160 is very annoying. You are definitely correct a set doesn't go up $50 in 6 years, even with some extra parts and figures. I think the key word here is POSSIBLY, though it does seem logical that if there is yet another set that it'd be the number after baby yoda and mando brickheadz. -

That's such a hilarious move by lego, especially since they didn't publicize it or anything, he just mentions "oh yeah, I said I didn't like porgs and lego sent me one". Ah. That's disappointing. -

Yeah, we don't have much to go off of, but falconfan did tease the ahsoka/maul duel, right? Other than that all we really know is it's 775 parts and $100, which does rule out a fair bit. I think it's possible it could be a major vehicle, isn't the Razor Crest limited to lego and amazon? It might just be pre-orders are only for those, I'm not sure. And like you say, a Y-wing for $100 would not sell. I'm just worried the set will be a resistance b-wing. The mystery set is our retailer exclusive, I think. Though a nu class shuttle would be pretty good In addition, in the later seasons of the show the shuttle has this big container thing on the bottom, in episode 6x01 for example. This could be part of it to bring the price up to $100. I agree that we need more p2 shinies, the only times we've ever had the p2 shiny with the 2013-present helmet design were a microfighter and an advent calendar, both in 2014. -
[REVIEW] 75274 - TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good review! You have illuminated the main issue with these helmets between this review and the one of the stormtrooper. The stormtrooper is iconic but has major design flaws, and the TIE pilot helmet looks better but is much less recognizable.- 9 replies

@jdubbs logs on in a panic "guys you misunderstood it's actually $190!" $160 seems unrealistically high to me, I'm hoping it's $140. could be that coveted GONK droid statue. Still hoping it's an AT-TE though. I hope not, just because it would mean they made a $100 y-wing when the last republic one was $60. With inflation it'd be a little over $70 today. That's insanely overpriced. -
I would literally go into debt if this wave came out, from the battle packs alone. An idea for the retail exclusive that's been thrown around in the discussion thread: AT-TE ($100): AT-TE updated from 2013 version. Comes with Ahsoka, Maul, Saxon, 2 332nd troopers and 2 at-te drivers or however that works for the drivers. And a may 4 wave of a set from each saga film: Duel of the fates ($50): build is some of theed palace and some of the duel area with all the walkways. Includes Maul, Kenobi, Qui-Gon, Padme (battle of naboo), and 2 b1s. Pentaki Arena ($130): Arena build with pillars and brick-built monsters. Comes with Anakin, Obi-wan, Padme, Dooku, 2 winged geonosians, 2 b1s, 2 b2s, and 2 random jedi. Clone legions ($60): Sort of a large army-builder. Comes with 2 BARCS and an AV-7. Has a 91st trooper, 501st trooper, 212th trooper, 327th trooper, 212th airbourne, and 41st trooper (white and green design, not the camo). The Millenium Falcon ($160): millenium falcon (ANH design) with Han, Chewbacca, Leia, Luke, Obi-wan, R2-D2, C-3PO, and Vader. TIE bomber ($90): TIE bomber with TIE pilot, officer, and 2 stormtroopers. Speeder Bikes ($30): 2 tree builds and 2 speeder bikes. Comes with endor leia, endor luke, and 2 scout troopers. Battle on Takodana ($40): smaller version of 2016 set, with rubble, exploding functions, Han, Finn, and 2 stormtroopers. Duel in the throne room ($25): a mixture of a duel set and battle pack, with Rey, Kylo, and one of each preatorian guard type. Build is some of the throne room with telescope and the thing the one guard is sliced up by. Final battle ($80): The sith throne, palpatine's apparatus, jar of snokes, some area to represent where kylo fights the knights. Comes with 2 palpatines, zombie-ish and revitalized, as well as ben solo, rey, 2 soviergn protectors and 2 of the knights of ren.

It's not really memes as much as nostalgia, although rebel friend specifically is pretty memed. people like me grew up with those old lego star wars games. I think it'd be fine to have it as a promo with the skywalker saga game like @Guyon2002 said. Fits all criteria. Price, piece count, relevence. this is very good to hear, hoping it's $140. Seems reasonable without being too overpriced. -
The UA-TT is such a weird design, but it's cool to see it made in lego form. I like the use of the 1x2 rounded plates for the upper legs.
