  1. 1. Don't see the jedi interceptor connection, (or I'd probably want the set more) but yeah it's not really a quinjet. The main events were always the helicarrier and the figures though, so I'm not too disappointed. 2. spinning isn't going to justify a lego set. You are a sane person (I assume), but you're also not lego's target audience. zero children in that 6-12 range would buy that set. 1. That's a worrying trend you've picked up on. we can only go so far before those collide, probably with the "set only has one non-reused figure" trend. 2. You're right! It's also got the cosmic cube, which the civilian kid picks up, says something like "this cube means i have all the power in the universe"....and then uses it to make a single ice cream cone. It's like lego wrote the comic. 3. fun fact: the batteries were supposed to appear in all the GOTG2 sets, but rocket stole them. August release, so I guess 2 months from now, since the june release stuff has been getting revealed the past few days.
  2. Maybe it's some sort of collectable or currency, though I doubt it. The thought of this triggers my nostalgia for the old lego star wars games with the minikits and studs. Captain marvel is new-for-june-2020, I feel like a character being in multiple sets in a wave, especially if one is very expensive or 4+, is fine, it's only when it's the same figure in lots of sets through multiple waves (iron man, thor) that it gets annoying. And no sane child (or parent for their child) would buy a quantum realm machine set, the build has 0 play value for kids and most adult's wouldn't want it as most figures would be repeats. I think a leviathan would work, maybe the sanctuary 2, though that would be better done as a UCS style set like the 2015 helicarrier. But yeah, a thanos copter would make everyone happy. Kids get cool helicopter vehicle, adults get the iconic and hilariously stupid thanoscopter, both get some nice figures, lego gets their weird colourful vehicle that shouldn't exist.
  3. That's an interesting pattern that is supported other vehicles like the AT-RT (only counting the ones where the AT-RT is the focal point of the set and not the small ones in the juggernauts), which I believe is due to the average cycle of sets meaning that they got theri debut set alongside their film, and then the average rerelease time as during the clone wars frenzy of 2008-2013, then their next set was after the show "ended".
  4. The fact that you've gotten it to look like it turns is pretty impressive.
  5. Nice! I wonder if those prototypes turned out well if lego will maybe make force ghosts down the line, between that and the patronusus from harry potter. Is that your own design or do we know what the grysks look like canonically?
  6. I'm guessing another 212th, which is fine by me, they're about the cost of the set they came in nowadays. I remember I had 3 copies of the set, but all I can find is an airbourne and my 212th helmet that has the printing on the back. he does look a bit tan in that image, I always remembered him as white in ROTS, I might have to rewatch it. A quick google search shows that on utapau he looks white to me, but he's more tan in the shots on the ship. I think it's just a lighting thing. Whatever the color, we've already had the white one in some cheap sets, so I'm glad we're getting a tan one with the non-cartoony face.
  7. You fool, the transforming mech/helicopter/oversized motorcycles for Wanda and Vision already leaked, they're $1000 each for 287 parts and one figure! Amazing new-for-2020 feature, you can stack the lego pieces together! Seriously though, what are they there for? Why that piece? is it ammo? Who knows? If only lego would release the official images, maybe we'd know!
  8. That's a very detailed crawler build, I like it. Especially how the treads are done, with the technic on the ends of the body, does it actually turn?
  9. Yeah, MODOK is the peak of random comic book ideas, right up there with "sarcastic duck with a gun" and "thor but he's a horse-like alien" They wouldn't do a transparent cockpit without a way to put figures in it. I'd assume the rotors turning feature takes up some space in the middle, but there has to be a way to acess the cockpit. EDIT: looking at the pictures, there's another transparent window behind the front cockpit one, and there's a clip/bar connection on the roof right in front of the base of the cannon, so I'd guess the interior goes from the cockpit to the base of the cannon, then the wing-turning mechanism, then the MODOK cell. I'm not really sure how the hedwig is similar in any way to the iron man bust besides that they're both brick-built. It's not supposed to be the MCU one. Lots of the comic ones look pretty close to this.
  10. Tan would suggest this is a clone wars set. (I don't think this is a spoiler but just in case: I don't think this helps us with guessing the other figure anyway.
  11. Not to mention grevious is supposed to be a tan version of the current white design, isn't he? (I know a tan grevious exists, I'm referring to the printing)
  12. He still could be, unless I missed something.
  13. I just meant winter soldier was a very realistic film when compared to anything else marvel's done. The real issues here . End quinjet shrinkflation! This is 100% what I meant! I'm not an idiot, I know MODOK is the flying head and Arnim Zola is the robot with a tv in it's chest that a dead human speaks through. Also, that piece doesn't work for lots of versions of MODOK. Most versions have the chair thing literally part of MODOK, where that was just a normal minifigure, albeit with a weird head, in a chair.
  14. Hello, and welcome to eurobricks! If you have a flickr account, you can link them from that to post. You can also make a bricksafe account and link the images from there, which is pretty quick and easy to do. Hope this helps!
  15. watch this set be revealed to be a constraction landspeeder.
  16. Depends on the interpretation of him, I think this is still pretty comics accurate. Yeah, he's supposed to be an enormous head, this isn't meant to be winter-soldier levels of realism.
  17. Someone mentioned Grievous, so I have entered the thread. I like the new cape piece, it makes sense to finally get a gliding cape. The bat vehicle from the one with that and the joker trike looks good, like an armored tank, but the massive joker trike is such a weird concept and reminds me of the constant barrage of spider-vehicles. The bat-base looks fine, as giant truck sets from action themes go it's nice to have one in black, but that jet part kind of ruins any ideas of just using it as a truck.
  18. Because the quinjet isn't meant to be accurately sized. I agree. Rotors are kind of weird and getting the same iron man and thor again is annoying, but it doesn't look that bad and has great figures.
  19. Thanks. I'll have to look at those, good thing the show's on Disney+ #wewantanewtiebomber, anyone? . Jokes aside we totally do need a new one and I'll join you in giving up should we get a FO one before a new emprie one. I think he said before remaking the origional.
  20. This is on lego for not releasing official pictures when they leaked, and everyone saw those crummy videos that make the sets look worse. Now people who have already decided these sets are bad aren't going to be swayed as much by the boxart images.
  21. I didn't know it's in resistance, I watched a few episodes of the show but it wasn't for me. I did read allegiance though, and it is a pretty cool design. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see it in this wave as A: like @Guyon2002 says it is pretty obscure, and B: I don't remember many waves with multiple ships from one faction and none from the opposing, and we already have the Night Buzzard. I do hope the bomber gets a set eventually though, maybe if a new series has it.
  22. So it's not actually based on the helicarrier from the game. So do I. The stud shooter's easy enough to replace, and the roller skate parts used for his other gun is GENIUS. I think this may be one of our first bona fide comic sets. Sure, some figures are based on the game, but the helicarrier is something actually in the comics (as opposed to "character name" - mech), and figures like captain marvel and War Machine seem to not be in the game, so these are probably comic designs.
  23. This looks great! I'm not a fan of tiling everything usually, but it really works well here. You did a really good job in making it look sleek, too. I'd love to see your take on an ISD should you ever want to make one.
  24. Also same here. Except the only game that's still having content come out I play is battlefront 2, and they've delayed the scarif update twice now. Overall though lego won't be impacted much except for sets based on upcoming films, which I think is just some sets for marvel and DC that are affected by that. It's a licensed theme, some of the other ones leaked yesterday and I don't think all the marvel ones have leaked yet. give it a few days.
  25. Same here. They aren't that bad, we need more detail, and although they aren't bad sets I won't buy them. I might get captain marvel or war machine depending on bricklink prices, but he'll probably be like $20. Only thing I can think is it's some new ammo for a new launcher.
