  1. Multiple licensed themes have leaked by now, although I believe they're june releases. monkie kid is an august release but an in-house theme. So I'd say it'll be a while yet before the star wars sets leak, although I'd love nothing more than to be drastically wrong.
  2. Thank you! I was struggling to figure out how to update the speeder in the set so I just made it a BARC, but you're right that it looks a bit smooth for an official set. Thank you!
  3. Same thoughts here. I think part of the problem here is people were expecting something looking like the UCS helicarrier for $130, and it's clearly not supposed to be that. It's definitely meant for children, but any kid would love this set. And the 4+ set is a 4+ set, if anyone was expecting literally anything from it, that's on them.
  4. Helicarrier has different looks in all the different comics/shows/games/films/etc, I think this one's based on the game. Same thoughts here. Helicarrier is overall pretty cool with great figures and an ok build, 4+ avengers tower is what you'd expect from a 4+ avengers tower.
  5. It's a 4+ set, the build is supposed to be simple. yes, it's an awful build, but there's another tower in this wave that isn't 4+ if you want something that looks remotely good. We've seen 2 sets (unless the others leaked, if they have LMK!), one of which is 4+ and the other of which really doesn't look that bad. It's not the greatest helicarrier, but it's miles better than the endgame wave and all the figures, which let's be real are the main reason people buy most marvel sets, are great.
  6. I don't remember them usually broadcasting it beforehand, but usually it's older sets they're looking to clear out of stock.
  7. Some people were talking about how nice it would be for newer sets to be "like the ones in 2007" in the 2020 discussion thread recently, so naturally I took it literally and made a MOC remake of 7655 clone troopers battle pack. I tried to keep the general ideas the same, but I did completely overhaul the builds. (7655 for reference) The main difference I made was changing the non-canon 2-person speeder to a BARC speeder. I tried to make my own spin on the build, but it shares many similarities with some of the official sets released over the years. I mainly based it off the battlefront 2 model. My main goal for the turret was to keep the wheel guard piece, and while the build ends up pretty simple I think it's a nice side build to the BARC. The set ends up at 132 pieces, a bit more than the average battle pack's 110-120. Anyway, I just thought it would be a fun thing to just quickly do. If anyone's interested I can try some of the other earlier battle packs.
  8. Seeing as the set we got a few years ago of a normal TIE was $70 with 4 figures, I could see the addition of hinges and landing gear either increasing the price or causing the removal of a figure. I think the addition of the cantina building to get it more to $100 is what he was going for, since the only 2020 set that we know is coming but don't know what it is is $100. Correct, despite speculation we don't know what it really is, just that something is coming. Most people seem to think it's exogol or the nightbrother, but it could be literally anything lego could reasonable market at $100.
  9. Stonebricks.de (I think it was them) confirmed we were getting a colored clone trooper. I remember originally it was lost in translation and people thought it said "named" hence cody, but they cleared it up and said it wasn't cody just an "orange colored clone trooper" It's possible it's just Obi-wan holding the magnaguard staff like in the movie though. Mandalorian wave sounds really good, like actually something lego would make, with the battle packs, $30 location set, etc.
  10. Thanks! This is super helpful, I can actually see these photos now. And landing gear. In flight mode it's not too different from a normal TIE, but it's got a prominent landing sequence in the show, where it's very different. And we've had 4 x-wings in 6 years so another normal-ish TIE fighter soon after one in 2018 wouldn't be that unlikely.
  11. sounds cool, you should try to moc it. it doesn't have to be cavegod size or skill level to be a good MOC, and you've got to start somewhere. A few things: That's like the dream lineup for AAT IMO, It'd function well as an army builder and has Ahsoka and a 332nd. (Side note: I've found a good way to make a purist S7 ahsoka, but I don't have her face yet and am hoping she comes in a set so I don't have to pay $5 + shipping for her head with an angry expression) I think that'll be the soulless one's figure lineup, but it's possible it also has a magnaguard, I think? Someone mentioned it on the forum but it's such a blurry image I can't even make out kenobi. Nightbrother would be great, ESPECIALLY with those figures.
  12. Ah. I don't actually have an instagram, I've just been using google to get there, and it doesn't let you scroll down more than 10 or so rows without signing in. Looks like it's time to get an instagram. Maybe. Most leaking themes have been lego's own IP, the licensed stuff for june still hasn't leaked.
  13. Thanks for the image! It's the exact thing Maul has in the lego star wars video games, it's way too close to be a coincidence. I bet he's either in the tank or the $100 set is something with maul, although Only one I see is a low quality image of the ship. As I said this increases the likelihood maul is in a set, which in turn increases the likelihood that the $100 exclusive is something from the siege of mandalore. Of course it's not close to confirmed, but I don't see any reason why they would have made a new lightsaber hilt for Monkey Kid, especially one that looks exactly like Maul's lightsaber in the lego games.
  14. Not anymore, LEGO ordered a takedown on the images and Just2Good pulled his video. I can't find it in the usual place, is it just a longer version of the lightsaber hilt?
  15. Garindan needs to be in a cantina or millenium falcon set in the future, he's such a unique looking character. And rebel friend is up there with Jedi Bob, he needs to be a promo eventually. You can actually make a pretty accurate one by taking the torso from knight rider and that random bank robber from a spiderman homecoming set, swapping out the black arms for red ones, and using all the other parts from a normal fleet trooper.
  16. Agreed about the next few years, we'll have sets from all different eras. However, Gideon's TIE fighter is just a normal TIE with hinges, so unless there was a cantina sidebuild the size of one of those $30 location sets, it'd be vastly overpriced. I don't think any mandalorian content is likely until 2021 besides what we know is coming. A remake of those old clone and droid battlepacks would be amazing!
  17. This looks great! I really like how that spoiler piece works as that part of the cockpit. I think the main wing works fine, you can't really get that shape with something one plate thick, so I think your solution is as good as any.
  18. Yeah, unfortunately the upcoming set probably won't be the ARC. I'd guess, as i have already, the gauntlet starfighter or something from the empire strikes back. Though given random sets for this in the past like the hyperdrive ring and imperial landing craft, it could be another x-wing for all we know. And trying to stay on topic, but if you look at reception to the clone wars, people HATED it when the first seasons were coming out. In fact, 99% of criticism of rey's character is the same as people criticized ahsoka for a decade ago. And like you said, similar to the sequels, we got a ton of sets at first and it wound down quite a bit. I don't think we'll see anything more besides the Night Buzzard this year, but I think there will still be sequel sets in 2021.
  19. I forgot about this set, but I agree, an ARC-170 is possible. That's not to say it's likely that it'll be that ship, but it's possible to make one at that price. Which is a strange trend, but supported by the evidence. I don't think it'll have an impact on the sets, we still get a comparatively similar amount of ROTJ sets and (Among the prequel sets at least) ROTS sets to the other films. Yeah, it would be really difficult to get a $100, 775 piece exogol set that would in any way sell.
  20. Yeah, it's funny, and as @ARC2149Nova says a good mashup of designs. Were it a swastika on the back, this might be a different conversation, but it's the iron cross, a symbol from ww1 that was on the actual ship. I also really like the PC version with the smiling people and dolphin.
  21. $100 for 2 snowspeeders, a sandspeeder, and a snowspeeder microfighter! No minifigures, but they're COVERED in stud shooters. Final duel was cheaper than this upcoming set, but I got the numbers mixed around and thought final duel also has more parts. It does not.
  22. This is the one that looks like someone took a tank tread and made it larger, no? I really like 2/3 of the sequels but that design is hilariously stupid.
  23. This is a great point just in general, and even more so when you realize it's about a lego MOC. I'm sorry to see that the friends empire has taken the baron's personal starfighter.
  24. Hey, we could get something for endor, or something for the ESB anniversary! Though clearly nightbrother is the best of any remotely realistic options. I was about to jokingly say this is non canon and suggest some other garbage TIE like the mining guild fighter, but they made a set out of a kenner prototype that wasn't even canon before disney. Seriously, who at lego even knew about the sandspeeder, much less decided it'd make a good set? because final duel was 10 euros less and had almost one hundred more less pieces. Edit: mixed up part count of final duel with upcoming retail exclusive, your point makes sense.
  25. Yeah, it was a previously reliable leaker that then went silent. We had a TFA leia in a set last year, but maybe it's because carrie fisher didn't play her in the show?
