  1. Don't worry, I didn't feel any pressure. And yeah, I hope we see the retailer exclusive too. I'm hoping for either the gauntlet or something from the empire strikes back for the 40th anniversary. Wait, who's roger? I agree, the whole thing of battle droids is overwhelming numbers, it's good to get them in stuff like that. Yeah, it's very unlikely.
  2. Past few years we've had a cheap $200-250 set in may (I'm counting tantive IV), and a $350-800 set in the fall. If they really want to make the gunship "UCS", and not something like the tantive IV, I think it's likely it'll be in the fall for $400. However, a $200 set with accurately sized smaller vehicles like you say would sell alot better. All the mandalore sets sound great, I'm still hoping that the summer 2020 retailer exclusive is the gauntlet starfighter. The throne room is an interesting idea, as we know from the trailers ahsoka fights Maul there, but based on the figures included it could also be the scene where I like the idea of it being able to be used to show multiple scenes.
  3. Already pre-ordered the Razor Crest, but I'll wait until the AT-AT is leaked before getting it or the A-wing. That's a good point, I do hope it gets leaked before may 4th then.
  4. Would you be able to cover whether or not they're hollow, as well as some size comparison? I'm considering getting the boba fett one, but can't get a sense of size. Don't worry, I was joking, I'm content with the three packs I already have. (which is probably still too many...). Thanks for the advice on the A-wing, I'm trying to decide whether to get it or a helmet and the AT-AT when it comes out, but your advice is making me lean towards the A-wing. It does look really good, even for the UCS standard.
  5. No I agree, the UCS one will be geonosis, it's just possible that the fan choice figure will be a clone commander. I agree it's unlikely too many of the gunship gang will spend probably about $400, or worse, "boycott" it because it doesn't have every clone commander in the entire canon and legends. No, you fool, clearly it's a UCS gonk!
  6. This seems not only plausable but really likely. With the at-at probably out of the picture, choosing from OT sets it'll be a remake or the landspeeder, basically, and the shuttle is deserving of a remake. People will complain no matter who comes in the set, the 501st battle pack showed us that. The thing is, many people are expecting to get something like your "my mind would be blown if" scenario. I honestly hope the figure selection is a pilot, a gunner, and jedi bob, just to watch the carnage as a million fanboys cry out in terror. (also because I would probably pay way more than any reasonable human should for an updated jedi bob.) Also, lego hasn't been that bad on the 501st, they got 2 TCW sets, the generic trooper in 2 and the pilot in one, multiple sets with rex, and now their own mega battle-pack with 3 troopers and a jet trooper. What baffles me is how the 2013-present p2 standard "shiny" clone trooper design has been in one microfighter and an advent calendar.
  7. Same here. Brick-build droids<brick-built displays< or = figure polybags, depending on the diorama and which figure. It would, we need more colours for that new hood. Slightly off topic but if we don't get a S7 ahsoka, you could make her siege of mandalore outfit pretty easily with ayesha from the marvel sets' torso but with orange arms. Not really sure what to do for the legs though.
  8. I can see how one could see both, but it really does look much more like the iron cross. It's just a MOC anyway, and a pretty funny mashup at that.
  9. And then when the UCS ship comes out with a phase one clone pilot and gunner with arm printing, even if the fan choice figure is, say, p2 commander wolffe, people will complain that it only had 3 figures, no one buys the set, we never get another prequel UCS. Best case scenario would be something like: (system scale) Republic Gunship $139.99: 2 p2 clone pilots, 2 332nd clones, Rex, Ahsoka, Bo-katan, Maul, Gar Saxon.
  10. It looks so good! Now quick, to get to the threshold do I buy my first real UCS (I got Assault on hoth at a good discount), or 6 more mandalorian battle packs? That would be cool. I like the idea of tying in the promos to the set. Crait would look pretty good with the ski speeders drawing up plumes of red dirt behind them. I think it's almost 100% pasaana rey, and hopefully Poe as well, since the figures are usually figures that appeared in sets a year or so from the release of the calender. Don't bet on it, we usually get one "new" figure (as in a figure with new printing or recolours) per calender, and that's sweater vader. Also I think the old hood looks more accurate to her in the film, but it would be nice to get the new one in white.
  11. Did you add render images? Looks great!
  12. Ok, just wanted to make sure there was an actual reliable source behind this, I didn't want to get my hopes up for an imaginary set. (watch it be one of those helmets but it's jar jar's head) Good point. I still hold that dooku pajamas are the only real contender there as they're the only other skin that a character wouldn't wear into combat, but yeah battlefront's not the most canonically realistic game. (also because they added ewoks to all OT maps). This has gotten pretty far off topic though, if we do get another slave leia minifigure it won't be in 2020.
  13. Yeah, all sets this wave besides maybe the iron man bust are game/comic sets.
  14. Where are you getting this? It's already been explained in this forum that gaps in set numbers are common and don't mean sets are "cancelled". And the TIE pilot thing is confusing, are you saying that they cancelled 3 TROS sets and then hastily increased production of a third helmet? Yeah, it could be pretty cool, and welcome to eurobricks! As for the tank, I'm not sure, Lego's clamped down on leaks recently. I would say figures pulled from production will leak in a month or two, but it'll probably be at least june before images of the tank leak.
  15. Yeah, that's why I'm disappointed about that vote. All these people voted for the UCS gunship, many for some reason believing it'd have tons of figures, and now the chances of a system-scale LAAT are near-zero. Then the LAAT UCS will come out with, say, a clone pilot, clone trooper, and for the fan vote jedi bob or captain fordo, and half the people who voted gunship start complaining about the figure selection, the set doesn't sell and we never get another prequel UCS. Sorry if that sounds pessimistic but I really want a system-scale LAAT. The providence and munificent really need sets, perhaps a providence and a venator as the flagship sets of the next big wave?
  16. I'm sure there is some behind-the scenes stuff, and I don't know about hasbro, but 7 years with no (insert varient here) isn't that uncommon. it's been 7 years since a TCW rex, 18 since a Zam Wessel, 7 years since an AOTC anakin, padme, dooku, etc. Also, I think there's a difference between a lego figure of slave leia and slave leia running around the battlefield. (Yes, I know dooku's pajamas are a skin but I still think that's different, slave leia is significantly more distracting to see running around on echo base or endor than it is to see dooku in what really just looks like navy blue robes unless you're up close. ) I think it's likely that there is some pressure to not make slave leia Merchandise, but I don't think we've really seen that manifest yet. To bring back up the discussion about the bellbulab set, what if we get grievous's cape? A bit of a long shot, but the 2005 cape piece does NOT work well on the current figure design, it doesn't even reach his knees, and a new caped grievous would look pretty cool. And some people have been mentioning the possibility of another set, does anyone know if this holds any weight? I would assume not, but the razorcrest came out of absolutely nowhere, so.. I wonder how many parts from the upcoming AT-RT could be used to build something of that scale. The legs clearly would be different, but I'm hoping most parts would be there for a design of that size.
  17. All these sets sound great, especially the new khetanna and MBS-style jabba's palace. I'll add some more, just for fun. TIE interceptor ($69.99): TIE pilot, stormtrooper, officer, Fleet trooper Imperial defense troops ($14.99): Scout trooper (x2), stormtrooper, imperial navy trooper. Build is a speeder bike and a little computer station like in the bunker Endor Bunker Attack ($99.99): Large endor bunker with 2 speeder bikes. Comes with Han, Leia, Paploo, 2x rebel troopers, a scout trooper, 2x stormtroopers, and 2x navy troopers Only suggestion is to replace one of the commandos with an ewok.
  18. It might make sense to alter the back cockpit a bit, but I really don't think it's that big of a deal and it's clearly not supposed to look like that.
  19. Welcome to eurobricks! That one's a nice little set, I like how the FO snowtroopers look.
  20. We probably won't see any more prequel UCS until lego gauges the success of the gunship, which itself won't come until may 2021 at least. Yeah, I'll have reach that threshold this may, it's unfortunate we didn't get many sets releasing around the same time, anyone know if they retired rogue one's y-wing? If so, I might have to buy 5 more mandalorian battle packs With the slave leia stuff, I thought they just ended up calling the merch "huttslayer" instead? I didn't realize they've put a stop on any merchandise for it, that's sad. Yeah the palace thing is the weakest argument I've heard, I have no idea why people chose that.
  21. I think @AndrewShun was just referring to the back of the cockpit where it's white with a black design. I didn't mean to accuse you of sympathizing with any german war powers, (and it's a great model), just suggesting you may want to swap out the white on the engine. It also is a genius mashup, I didn't know lego made a red baron set!
  22. I think people either see all these constant -speeder remakes and generalize that all remakes are bad. The DS2 is really expensive nowadays and could totally be improved, so it'd make a nice new set. We know the gunship isn't coming until at least 2021, so prequel and sequel UCS probably won't come out until LEGO gauges the success of the gunship, and the only major OT vehicles we haven't already gotten are the AT-AT and the landspeeder, one of which would be nice but draw endless complaints that it's not as good as cavegod's massive model and the other one being the landspeeder. I guess rebel capital ships too, but lego doesn't seem to want to make those. All we've had it a set of the interior and the pelta-class from rebels. The thing about grevious actually makes alot of sense, same with the possibility of four figures. If you think about it, we usually get 4 figures in these $70-90 starfighter sets. the 2 most recent x-wings, 2 of the 3 most recent TIE fighters, etc all have four figures. But yes, there is a "colored clone trooper" in the set, I think according to stonewars.de? Only if we get a GONK battle pack alongside it It'd be a new design with clips on the side to hold those stupid stud guns.
  23. Don't bet on it, that thing's been a staple of the line for forever. We've had reliable sources confirm the MBS label is no more, but like you say that's not to say big playsets are no more. We had the endor village, assault on hoth and the death star all under the normal UCS label. Personally I'm hoping for the jedi temple, like you, but also the cantina.
  24. Based on those images it looks like official lego to me!
  25. I agree, and don't think there's anything insensitive about putting sequel leia in a set. That said, she wouldn't really fit in the one sequel set we're getting this summer.
