LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
2018’s exclusive was an imperial landing craft from ANH... it being a store exclusive doesn’t mean much really, it could honestly be anything -
I love it! The use of the tantive IV cone piece is unique and works great, and all the interior space makes it a great play set like you say. If you’re looking to continue the medical corps theme, maybe a base, or the shuttle to-scale with the capital ship?

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think some of the others are mixes too, I’m not sure why. No. Marvel is big right now, but I suspect it will fade now that endgames done. Even without that, Star Wars is...well, Star Wars. The biggest original franchise of all time. Marvel has some really successful movies that I don’t get why we don’t have more sets of, but pumping out the amount of sets they do for Star Wars for comic/game based stuff, or the non team-up films, would not work financially -

Exactly. It’s an accurate part to use for a comic based hulk buster, but the build itself is inaccurate so it looks weird -

That’s possible, but if there isn’t any tech, those costumes are easily over twice the price they should be. yeah, I’m not sure about the playability of this either. The “coins” are just a digital thing, a number the figure has, there’s no real motivation for kids to get them. -

Thanks for clarifying. weirdly enough I’m glad, just because that troll (with what, 3 accounts by now) kept pushing that set I’ve been out of town and trying to use the site mobile, so this recap helps a lot, thank you! Yeah, that guy was annoying. the thing about the bomber is that the wings would end up using about as many parts/cost as much as normal TIE wings, but the cockpit is bigger and then essentially doubled for the bomb bay. I think $100 would make sense. Really hoping that we learn what that set is soon though, we could speculate until the end of time and it’ll still be something we never could have guessed. -
To add to this, one of the first ever Star Wars sets was a small duel set with qui-gon, maul, his speeder, and some terrain, like a moisture vaporator. I could see it happening

Hahaha Makes sense. I’m holding off from the tower bc I’ve got a limited budget too and I’ll be buying the entire stock of 501st battle packs from the Star Wars line. (I’m only half joking about that) -
As others have said in the thread for discussion, falcon fan just posted a picture of the duel, which he does sometimes not as a leak just if he likes something he’ll post it sometimes. Falcon fan is a very reliable source, but not everything he posts is a leak, don’t get your hopes up too much. 1.Did the same thing for the action battle set. 2. I agree, though that may be my ESB bias and hope to complete the TIE fleet 3. Bond 26 starring childish landino when? I think it’s obi was holding a magnaguard staff -
I remember these now, they were used in the ‘08 wave of bionicles sets for a feature similar to the buzz droid missiles tri-fighters have. Almost certainly it only comes in trans orange, which is sad as this is a great model

Yeah, I think we unfortunately aren’t getting an AT-TE. My hope is just that maul and Ahsoka are in either the AAT or something January 2021. -

Yeah, it is annoying we never got him, but I doubt we ever will. Why $137 specifically though? LEGO marvel I think has only had 3 sets over $130, so you should probably be fine there if they ever did make a bald thanos set. -
That's pretty cool, I love the lego hand print on the chest.

Yeah, I was struggling a bit since the film came out so recently compared to most of the other ones. I...don't know what to say, that's quite alot of sets! I could see most of these selling great, although "air taxi" and "valurum's shuttle" might not have much appeal to kids. It's insane we still don't have a lucrehulk, though, and overall, this is a great list. I'd think we're most likely to see the trade federation vehicles, which is fine by me if they're anything like what you've come up with. Continuing my film set list that started with ESB (I guess I'm going through all the films/shows, and it's not entirely in order), I'll do the last jedi. Not my favorite film, but it wasn't outright terrible (IMO would have been a much better film if instead of canto bight Finn, Rose, and Poe snuck onto the star destroyer from the outset.) Microfighters: Resistance Bomber ($9.99): Paige Tico First order dreadnought ($9.99): General Hux AT-ST battle ($19.99): microfighters of both the normal and decapitated AT-ST, Phasma, BB-8, and Finn (disguise) Battle Packs: Crait troopers ($14.99): 2x resistance trooper (crait), 1x resistance heavy (crait), 1x resistance officer (crait). Build is a small trench with turret. First Order troops ($14.99): 2x first order snowtrooper, 1x first order heavy trooper, 1x first order officer. Build is an oversized speeder bike Duel: Duel on crait ($19.99): Kylo ren, Luke skywalker. Build is similar to starkillar base, but without the trees and with a catapult type function to represent when they're all shooting at luke. $20-30 location set: Raddus briefing ($24.99): Poe, Holdo, Leia. Build is the Raddus's bridge. Other sets: Canto Bight Chase ($39.99): Canto bight police speeder/ship thing and a brick-built fathier. Comes with Finn, Rose, and 2 canto bight officers. Ski Speeder ($49.99): Smaller ski speeder than 2018 set with Poe, a resistance trooper, General Hux, and a first order snowtrooper. Attack on Crait ($79.99): Actual First Order AT-ST,not decapitated, and a crait trench with turret. Comes with a first order driver, 2 first order stormtroopers, a resistance trooper, resistance officer, and Rey. First Order AT-AT ($139.99): First Order AT-AT (Not M6 or MA), 2 first order drivers, General Hux, Kylo Ren, 2 first order stormtroopers, Finn, and 2 resistance heavies. UCS/MBS: UCS TIE Silencer ($199.99): Kylo Ren

ugh. Hopefully they're thicker than they look, but I can't see these selling better than brickheadz -

Thank you for the kind words! I might try to do an empire at war edition when my bricklink orders come in, along with drmuttonchop's suggestions -
[MOC] Clone Trooper Brick Sketches
Mandalorianknight replied to Graupensuppe's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Changed my mind, the bars don't stick out as much as I thought they would, they look pretty good. That P2 clone especially needs to be an upcoming brick sketch, I'd buy so many. -

Idk, Blue Steel and Hot Rod sound like they'd be "cooler" to kids than tazer and blazer. I don't really care too much, after all it's just the names on the box (and pretty hilarious names at that), but I'm not sure why they did it. -

Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, we do need some of those parts to appear more so the bricklink prices aren't so bad, but I kind of like that it's a sort of pixel-by-pixel mosiac. Only thing I can think of is that they've done some research that BB-8 is super popular or something. I could see r2 and threepio, vader and a stormtrooper, etc, down the line. I hadn't thought about that problem with the mosiac, but it's a good point. it's not really something lego could have prevented, since mosaics usually do look like that, but it will be pretty tedious. -
Super Mario 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

There's an image of him without the overalls and looks like he connects to them. Also, from the trailer, you see the "abilities" they get form the overalls, so there's got to be something. -
MOC T2-B tank (canon) updated with physical model

Yeah, I looked through my parts today and I've got about 75%, so I'll need to make a bricklink order, but once I do I'll upload some images. -
DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I doubt it. Only hardcore DC fans really care about the synder cut, and I'd guess the majority of them that buy legos already bought those set. Batman's bricksketch is basic but works, joker's is pretty good. -
Super Mario 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to MandyNeko's topic in LEGO Licensed
So, using the fire mario as an example, there's 1 new-for-august-2020 mold that's got a bit of technology in it, a hat mold with no technology but a new mold for the theme, 2 parts of a commonly appearing new mold, and 7 extremely common parts for a total of 11 pieces for $10. That's a PPP of almost a dollar, which is insane. Dimensions wasn't even close to that rough for the pack sets. It's not much different for the other suits. Trousers mold in a different color with some tech in it, new mold for a hat, 2 of the common new mold that's the rounded 4x4 plate-type, and a few common parts. -

Reliable leakers have said there'll be a $30, 4 figure set that's a mini hall of armor add-on
