  1. Sounds great, 2 new suits is all I really want from this one. We already have blazer and tazer (I still can't get over those names, can the enix suit be "lazer" ) and a new rescue, so this is shaping up to be the best wave in awhile in terms of how many new iron men. Ironic, considering we've had the same variant in almost every set.
  2. They look so good! He'll be fine, he's being supported by the other aim agent who has a large, helicopter-like jetpack that'd be easy for iron man to shoot down, who is armed with a rifle! Because like we see in AoU, regular guns work super well on hulk and the hulkbuster.
  3. I agree, he works as a face but it's only because of how cartoony joker is already. A pheonix or Ledger joker wouldn't work.
  4. First of all, it's only been a few hours, I'm impressed you made even one of these that fast! The angle makes it a bit difficult to see what parts are being used in come places, but the p2 ones especially looks great! IMO a p2 clone on a black background with extra parts to switch out the legion could sell pretty well. Not sold on those bar attachments for the p1 trooper's "mouth", but the rest of the build looks great! I especially like the pilot. The unhelmeted one is about as good as it could be made, but I don't think normal faces are going to work well in this style in general.
  5. That's how he convinces Happy Hogan to let him have the Blazer and Tazer suits Yes! I love the gunmetal color, glad we're getting an iron man helmet in it.
  6. I mean, why does batman get 2 and there aren't any for marvel? Who knows why lego makes the choices they do. My best guess is they're the sequel characters because bb-8 is a really popular character that works well in this style, and the stormtrooper was chosen to "counter" him like joker with batman. We also probably won't see Rey, Luke, Anakin, etc, as masks/helmets/droids always work better in lego. Just look at the helmets, busts, etc. Although based on your previous posts, pfp, and username, I'd guess you are "just biased" towards the prequels . Nothing wrong with having a preferred trilogy as long as you aren't hating on the other ones. They're apparently june releases, which came out of nowhere. Although we're in late may now, so getting SW images is pretty likely going to happen in the upcoming weeks.
  7. Just making sure, as you're one of the most accurate leakers, is this just you legitimately wondering? Same here, I didn't think he'd be in every other set. Watch him start showing up in batman, star wars, harry potter, etc sets. The names "blazer" and "tazer" are the greatest things i've heard this entire month. Can we get a disney+ show about them piloted by Luis and the teacher from spider-man homecoming?
  8. 5ct/pc wouldn't just be "not that bad", it'd be amazing, and it's probably due to the amount of 1x1 pieces that will be in the set.
  9. The Monkey Kid sets seem unrealistically overpriced to me even when compared to the marvel and star wars sets,. They really are! The tower looks amazing, and those figures are great too! I'm tempted to get it big-time, but the $90 price tag is tough. It's not overpriced, but it's expensive, and I'm already planning on getting most of the august star wars wave. I'll be holding off on the hulkbuster too, it looks like a scaled up version of the $10 mech, and while it does look like the comic set, the fact that it's a new, comic rescue takes away it's draw for me. (which is ironic, as it's an objective plus to the set as a whole, I was just wanting to get the MCU rescue without getting that stupid helicopter.) The bust is fine, about what I expected on par with the star wars ones. It's got flaws, but isn't awful.
  10. Thank you for all the great feedback! I'll definitely be updating this with your suggestions. To answer your questions: The canon version's front is a bit more angular, but using 6091 would certainly remove those gaps, and since I used some bits of the legends model in other places, I'll try that out. If you mean the 4x4 rounded plate with hole, the part does come in trans-clear, and that would look pretty cool to see the driver in there. There are some controls, though I now realize you can't see them in the image, but there are 2 1x2 tiles with control panel patterns a bit below the driver's hands. I'm using a 4x4 turntable with a rounded 4x4 plate, which is a bit clunkier, but the friction means it's easier to pose.
  11. These look pretty cool, though I prefer the helmets, these are certainly cheaper. Yeah, a maul and ahsoka pairing or r2 and vader or something could be cool.
  12. This MOC actually started as a conversation about legends sets in the "future star wars sets". @ARC2149Nova mentioned how he liked the T2-B tank, I looked it up, remembered it from an old mobile game, and decided to MOC it. It probably looks drastically different from what you Empire At War players remember it looking like, and that's because it's based on the canonized version from the "star wars commander" game. It also appeared in the comic "vader down" according to wookiepedia, though I don't have the comic myself and can't confirm this. It's meant to resemble an actual set, with play features and figures, and the design of the base of the turret suffers slightly to allow it to fit a figure. I really like the tank's design in-universe, and must have spent hours on an 8-stud wide version before starting over with a 10-stud wide version. The final specs are: 10 studs wide (not counting the side pods) and ~25 studs long. There are 470 pieces including the figures. There weren't any good images of the back on google for the canon version, so I made some detailing based on what I could see and a bit from the legends version. Front view shows one of the play features I mentioned, hidden spring-loaded shooters. Pushing down on the 1x2 dark red tiles towards the middle of the tank will cause them to fire. I enjoyed making the firing mechanism a lot, and I think the shooters are hidden enough that they're not obstructive to the set. Removing some parts gets you to the driver's seat. Despite the amount of parts removed, it's mostly one chunk that comes off easily enough. Finding a way to include a driver's seat was by far the biggest challenge of the set, and while this solution isn't perfect, it's not too detrimental to the build and even has some control panels down there. Any good set has figures, so I added two stormtroopers and two rebels. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Let me know any suggestions/criticism/comments you have!
  13. Yeah, I was hanging onto hope for this theme, but those suits just broke it.
  14. Ah. So there's hope for the PS4 spider-man yet.
  15. Looking on brickset, there was a 3 year gap between the clone wars sets for the "final season" in 2014, and the next TCW set in 2017. We then got a set or two based on the series per year, with this year an exception due to season 7. Is it possible that rebels could have a similar thing, with one or two sets per year after a few years with no sets? I heard the rebels sets sold poorly, which could factor into it, as well as the upcoming rumored show.
  16. Even builder mario has an inverted color scheme! Honestly, brick-built helmets for the propeller and cat could have been more accurate than this. Well said. The literal only way to give these sets any value is to purchase a $60 set.
  17. I think the thing is green arrow is a bit different, it's the CW version, whereas the shazam figure is just a straight update of that one. But still, it is unlikely we'd see a sony spider-man wide release set without the sequel being available on multiple platforms.
  18. Yeah, I can't really defend this theme anymore. $10 for a few pieces, one of which has a small amount of tech? The cat and builder costumes aren't even close to accurate, and like you say they're all completely useless without the $60 starter pack. I can't see these selling well at all. I don't know. I think the problem is, like with almost every set in the theme, these are useless without the $60 starter set. I can't see kids preferring these to their phones and switch consoles, I think it's just going to be nintendo collectors who buy this at this point.
  19. unfortunate. I still think they'd net more money if it wasn't a console exclusive, even as good as the first one was there's no way they got more money from people ps4 consoles to play spider-man then they would have if they let people buy it on the xbox, pc, and switch. (Xbox user here though, so definitely biased) I knew there was one, can't believe I forgot it was shazam!
  20. @Skier1215 those look pretty good, especially for a budget with some older parts like you said. Very creative head build for the ithorian I'll have to copy (Like you, I don't have an extensive enough budget to spend the disturbing amounts lego ithorian heads go for on bricklink). I didn't realize these were legends figures at first and was super confused with the middle NR troops, but upon looking at reference material they all look very accurate. (even Bel Ibis, who I confess that while I've read the thrawn trilogy, I've never seen an image of)
  21. Or given what they did for ESB, helmets of Boussh, vader, and a scout trooper, and then a $160 sail barge . But yeah, given movie popularity having an impact on the number of sets, we might not see too many ROTJ sets for a bit. (I don't get why it's disliked, I really like it, excellent third act.) a few skiffs should come with the barge, good catch. I guess I'm moving on to the next film, so TFA: Microfighters: Poe's x-wing ($9.99): Poe dameron (pilot) First Order TIE ($9.99): First order TIE pilot Resistance transport vs first order transporter ($19.99): phasma and general Leia Battle packs: First order troopers: 2x first order stormtrooper, first order heavy trooper, first order officer. Build is a small speeder. Resistance forces: 2x resistance trooper (helmets), 1x resistance officer, 1x resistance sniper (battlefront 2). Build is an infantry turret and terrain. Duel: Takodana duel ($19.99): Takodana rubble with wall-destroying function. Finn, TR-8R, first order stormtrooper. location set: starkiller escape ($29.99): detention cell and hallway. Rey, First order stormtrooper, old Han Other sets: Jakku Attack ($39.99): jakku hut with some destruction play features. Comes with Finn (Stormtrooper, bloodstained helmet), Poe (Jakku), Kylo Ren, and a flametrooper. First order TIE fighter ($69.99): normal first order TIE, not special forces like the 2015 one. Comes with a first order TIE pilot, first order heavy stormtrooper, Kylo Ren, and General Hux. Resistance transport ($79.99): Resistance transport like 2016 set, but with the blue accents in the film and a more accurate cockpit. Comes with 4 resistance troopers, C-3PO (red arm), and a first order stormtrooper Poe Dameron's X-wing starfighter ($84.99): Poe's orange-and-black starfighter with one of those little pilot transports and a very small build of the holotable and console from the d'qur base. Comes with Poe (pilot), Leia, Admiral Statura, BB-8, and a resistance trooper. AT-MA ($149.99): Comes with Chewbacca, Finn, 2 first order stormtroopers, first order driver, Phasma, and a first order officer. Let me know what you think, lots of sets were made upon the film's release and it's only 5 years old, so I tried to focus on stuff we haven't gotten yet and variations/updates of stuff we got in the initial waves (Poe's TFA fighter updated like his TROS one, Normal First Order TIE, accurate Resistance Transport)
  22. Ashnflash, first off, huge fan of your work. I think sets for the spider-man PS4 are pretty likely as long as the next game isn't exclusive to the sony console. Although given that the spider-man ps4 spider-man is in the spiderverse comics, they could include him in a normal set like they have spider-ham, spider-noir, etc, unless the comic con figure makes that impossible. Yeah, I'm seeing the "advanced issues found" too. Not sure why. Yeah, two new suits sounds great and somewhat likely, I think. I'm happy you like the "enix suit", I'm gonna start using that more.
  23. It's in a DC set from a few years back. I only found them when I was looking at all the saber colors to make a custom Cal Kestis. Good point.
  24. Ah. So it could be true, but might not. Hoping for the space chimp, but that's a long shot. You can get a yellow lightsaber blade for just a few cents on bricklink, if you really want yellow saber rey. Although it has been awhile since we got the yellow saber, so I guess it would increase desireability.
  25. But there's a few differences there: It's Star wars: Star wars and Marvel are drastically different in terms of lego, and while we've gotten sets long after the release of almost all films and shows, Marvel rarely has more than one wave, or sets after the release of a film. Baby Yoda: The people working on the mandalorian fought to keep baby yoda a secret until it's release, meaning that Merchandise companies were not made aware, and have to scramble now to get sets made. (2 of the mando sets that haven't come out yet were likely made after baby yoda's release to try and capitalize on his popularity.
