I'll confess my legends experience consists almost solely of Timothy Zahn's legends books, but these sets sound pretty cool from what I can recognize. Finishing out the films with a rogue one wave, almost entirely based on scarif since that's where most of the missing stuff is: (sets with the *** symbol can connect the terrain portions to each other with pins and technic bricks.) Microfighters: TX-225 tank ($9.99): hovertank pilot Blue Squadron x-wing ($9.99): General Antoc Merrick Hammerhead corvette vs zeta shuttle ($19.99): Rebel captain and Imperial shuttle pilot. Battle packs: Scarif Rebels battle pack*** ($14.99): 4 different scarif rebel designs, two of which have the hoth helmet in dark blue. The build is some scarif terrain with a small speeder. Scarif Imperials battle pack*** ($14.99): 2 shoretroopers, a death trooper, and a stormtrooper, the build is some more terrain and an orange crate. Duel: Showdown on scarif*** ($19.99): The sort of walkway Jyn has to go on to align the radar dish, the dish itself, Jyn, Krennic. They have stud shooters in addition to their normal blasters and the ground is tiled, making it easy for the stud shooters to knock them over. $20-30 location set: Rebel Ambush*** ($29.99): Comes with Chirrut and 2 stormtroopers. Build is some terrain and imperial tech, and there's a function where some foliage opens to reveal chirrut to ambush the stormtroopers. Other sets: Blue Squadron X-wing ($79.99): Blue-detailed x-wing with Merrick, an astromech, Cassian (blue jacket), a rebel trooper, and Mon Mothma. Scarif citadel*** ($99.99): kind of like a smaller vader's castle. Interior rooms are the room where K-2SO dies, the records room where they get the plans, the command center, and a hallway or two. Comes with Cassian (disguised), K-2SO, Jyn (disguised), 2 stormtroopers, Krennic, and an imperial officer. Zeta shuttle ($129.99): Shuttle has some interior space in the cockpit and the cargo bay to fit the rebels. Comes with Bodhi, Jyn, Baze, Colonel Tonc, an imperial officer, imperial ground crew, and 2 stormtroopers. Hammerhead corvette ($159.99): Hammerhead corvette with launching escape pods. Comes with Raddus, Draven, a rebel captain, 4 rebel fleet troopers, a stormtrooper and vader. That's the standard amount I've been doing but we'd still need an AT-ACT and a TIE reaper. UCS: UCS U-wing ($299.99): large U-wing (basically a minifigure-scale one), comes with 2 u-wing pilots and Bistan. I'll probably do the seige of mandalore next, then the rest of clone wars, rebels, mandalorain, and resistance.

Official UCS set versions of popular MOCs?
Mandalorianknight replied to Naixin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
i think so, when the last fan vote happened the options were Home One, Palpatine's arrest and slave one with landing pad. Home one interior won, but we got palpatine's arrest a few years later, and of course they've been a few slave ones and the cloud city set. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Mandalorianknight replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If you mean a specific subset, like ones from the clone wars show or older ones with the yellow tones, than I can't really give you much advice there, but in general, I'd say it depends. There are a few pretty expensive figures, and there's some that are outrageously expensive and probably not worth it (Malgus, Revan, Rebels Ahsoka), but if you enjoy collecting them, go for it! If you really enjoy collecting them, it'll be worth it to you. -
That fits really well, I'm gonna have to bricklink the piece for my mara jade.

I think it's black widow's from the set based on her now-delayed solo film. @ARC2149Nova Is her torso a sticker or a real print? It looks too accurate to be a print from something else to me, but everything else there is purist.

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's actually a good point, Lego will want some spider-men, and probably more than just 2 suits. Kids move on from things somewhat fast, so at this point most kids don't really care to much about endgame. I guarantee they'd rather have something like this: So hypothetically, if one is coming, it'll likely be some MCU outfits (Maybe an iron man suit like Midas or Disco, not the red/gold, something like fat thor, etc), but not the main versions of those characters, and probably a fair bit of spider-men and first appearence heroes. -

Yeah, the old hood piece quite literally looks as if it was molded expressly for palptine's ROTJ robes. And tan is *technically* more accurate but it just looks wrong on him, I agree that a lighter grey would work better. -

ROYAL GUARD PONCHO. ROYAL GUARD PONCHO. ROYAL GUARD PONCHO. Jokes aside, besides an update to the royal guard, I don't think there's anything they could really do. Maybe palpatine's face? This might just be me but I never liked his newer tan one. -
MOC T2-B tank (canon) updated with physical model
Mandalorianknight replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good to know, I'll include a gunner seat in the update I'm making. I've got a bricklink wanted list, looks like I can convert it into an XML and email it to you if you want to PM me your email. -
MOC T2-B tank (canon) updated with physical model
Mandalorianknight replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I haven't been able to find images of the interior, does the gunner sit in the turret? If so, does the pilot sit where he does in my MOC or somewhere else? I'll try to fit a gunner into the empire at war version I'm working on. As for the size, it's almost exactly the same size as the tx-225 set, which is probably a bit small for it's legends appearance. -
MOC T2-B tank (canon) updated with physical model
Mandalorianknight replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Star Wars
UPDATE: physical model. The parts finally arrived for the physical model of the tank! There are a few differences, mostly minor fixes and improvements. I did make one comprimise in terms of part rarity, swapping out the dark red 2x3 angled plates for LBG ones. The dark red ones aren't expensive, I think they're like 6 cents each in america, but they're rare enough that it I'd have to buy from 3 stores instead of two and I didn't feel like paying $3-5 in shipping for 12 cents worth of parts. I slightly changed a bit of the interior workings to get that front panel with the black stripes at that angle, as well as using two of the 1x2 with rail pieces to fill in the resulting gap. Back image. I had some worries about the structural stability of the thing, but I accidently dropped it from about 4 ft up onto the carpeted floor and all that came off was the turret and a side pod. For the most part, I think it turned out pretty well and looks better in real bricks than the Stud.io renders. All in all it was about $17 total, including shipping from 2 sellers for the 25% or so of parts I didn't have on hand. Although those were the more rare elements or new molds, and subsequently more expensive pices. Doing a bricklink wanted list search of the full part list, it'd about $40 in parts, plus shipping from 3 different stores, which isn't that bad for 450 parts. I'll be editing the render to make the legends version from empire at war soon, so I'll post that when it's finished. -

Yeah, look back 10 years or so and very few SW figures had leg printing. Now almost all of them do, and the ones that don't really don't need it. As @ARC2149Nova says, there's a difference between plain pants and plain torsos. Shirts usually have the cut for the neck and are more creased than pants, and sweaters have a much more visible pattern for the cloth used than pants. Aside from maybe pockets, which I don't think luke's ROTJ pants even have, there's not really a point to LEGO spending more to print them. We've failed so many batmen just to give footwear to the empire, what have we done? -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm just saying don't expect a marvel CMF to show up instantly. The rumor is that they have the ability to do so, not that one is currently being made. Also, a big part of lego's strategy is having the figures as a large draw to an otherwise bland set. If we do get a CMF it probably won't be all the major characters/variants, as they'll want to keep desirable figures in more expensive sets. -

This is the one area where I do think they decreased in quality. The past few years any light colored print on a darker color is way too faded, and they even change the figure on the box art to make it look like it's not. I totally agree. Except the above example, most figures are as detailed or, like you point out, more detailed than they need to be. Figures like ROTJ luke don't need to constantly be updated if they look great already, or have needless detail that makes them less accurate. To "stay on target", applying it to this wave, it appears to have some pretty great figures. Clearly the 4 new clone designs, which are super detailed (and I'm pretty excited that we're getting a jetpack in blue), as well as the KOR, Ahsoka, the mon cal and Vi Moradi. The rest of the figures that haven't been updated are fine, the only ones that I would say are bad are the royal guards, where I agree with @ARC2149Nova's suggestion of replacing the cape with a poncho type piece. -

The season 3-5 and rebels ahsoka both cost more than the set they came in in good condition in the US at least, so I'd estimate in 3-6 years she'll be worth about $30-40, provided there aren't any ahsoka figures after this. Based on what information I could see on bricklink, the price has steadily increased for both and the season 3 ahsoka only recently started selling for $50. Inflation takes it from $80 to $86.12. So there's definately something missing here, IMO the prices for some of these are just suspicous. grievous starfighter and death star duel aren't just "overpriced" in the usual way people complain, they're a good deal more then how "overpriced" lego usually is. I'm not saying the leakers are wrong, but I still think there's something off with some of the prices. Yup, legos are high-quality products, they've always been pretty expensive. -

IDK it just says "Super heroes: june 21st". It's also got different dates for disney and jurrasic world. It's in the usual spot, someone posted it with some clearer images of the catalogue that had the leaked star wars sets. -
Control room: c-3po, r2, stormtrooper. Comes with "c-3po whines" play feature ! Thanks! Yavin IV is definitely a stretch, but it'd be pretty cool. It is strange the closest we've got is an 8-piece wall from a juniors set. Since I started with ESB and looped back around to ANH, I'll do the spinoffs now, starting with solo. Microfighters: AT-hauler ($9.99): Rio Durant Conveyex train ($9.99): range trooper Han's speeder vs Moloch's landspeeder ($19.99): Han solo and Moloch Battle packs: Mimban stormtrooper battle pack ($14.99) : 2 mimban stormtroopers, mudtrooper, imperial officer (mimban). Build is a trench Kessel fighters battle pack ($14.99): 2 kessel mine workers, kessel guard (the guys standing next to quay tolsite when you google search him) pyke syndicate gangster. Build is a turret like they set up in solo with some terrian and one of those vaporators. Duel: Duel on dryden's yacht ($24.99 because of extra figure/increased size): A build of dryden's museum room with Qi'ra, Han, and Dryden. Dryden has a double sided face, one passive and one with the lines on his face when he gets mad. $20-30 playset: Mimban escape ($29.99): pit with a play feature to collapse the roof by knocking down a pole, comes with Han (mud-covered), Chewie (mud-covered), and a mudtrooper. Other sets: Savereen battle ($49.99): Enfys Nest's speeder bike, some savereeen refinery, a play feature to launch enfys at the enforcers. Enfys nest (no armor), the old lady in enfy's armor, weazel, 2 enforcers. Battle of Mimban ($69.99): AT-DT and some mimban trench. Comes with 2 mimban stormtroopers, 2 mimbanese soldiers, Han (mudtrooper), and Beckett (officer) TIE brute ($79.99): TIE brute with TIE pilot, stormtrooper (kessel spice dust prints), L-337 (similar to the medical droid or k-2S0), and lando. Arrestor cruiser ($119.99): Cruiser has some opening panels in the main body and bridge. Comes with 2 imperial officers, 2 stormtroopers (kessel spice dust prints), Han, Qi'ra, and Chewbacca. UCS (UCS for solo is pretty unlikely): UCS AT-Hauler ($299.99): AT-hauler with Rio, Beckett, and Val. Bit playset heavy and the arrestor is pretty obscure but we got 2 waves of sets 2 years ago so I had to reach a bit.

Official UCS set versions of popular MOCs?
Mandalorianknight replied to Naixin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
i mentioned this earlier, the designer was friends with someone who made a MOC of the shuttle, like you said. Based on the fact that they were friends and that as far as I can see there's no mention of the inspiration ( I believe it was about the technic on the wings, but I could be wrong) on the box/instructions, I think it was more of a special scenario and doubt we'll see anything where it overtly ties to a moc. -

Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I confess I bought that set mainly for thrawn and the new kanan back in 2017. Scrapped for parts, since the phantom 1 looks better on the back of the ghost, anyway. But yeah, the ahsoka thing is insane! She costs more than the set did, and the set was $130! I bricklinked the s1-2 ahsoka and just swapped the torso to make her look more like the s7 ahsoka, but the bug eyes are unavoidible unless you want to spend $30-50 dollars and international shipping from germany, or $150+ for the whole figure. Like the scribble face for the one guy from the lego movie? I don't know, we usually only get one exclusive figure and it's always been christmas themed, I'm not sure what they'd be going for with scribble lines. That said, it looks like Poe and Vader both have exclusive torso prints, so maybe they're bucking the precedent. -

I didn't realize thrawn was expensive but dang...he costs more than the set he came in! Sadly there's not much of a chance we'll see him again anytime soon. I'm glad we ended up getting another ahsoka though, even if it's not the rebels version, at least there's the longer montral piece. -
That would be interesting. Definitely would be pretty expensive, but since they contain so much, they'd probably sell well among AFOLs. Continuing my wave for every film, ANH: Microfighters: Luke's x-wing ($9.99): luke (pilot) TIE advanced($9.99): Vader Tantive IV v star destroyer ($19.99): Princess Leia and an imperial officer Battle packs: Rebel fleet troopers ($14.99): 2 rebel fleet troopers, y-wing pilot, captain antilles-like "fleet officer". Build is a small personnel transport. Imperial navy troops ($14.99): 2 stormtroopers, navy trooper, imperial officer. Build is a turbolaser and console like the one han solo shoots. Duel: Duel on the death star ($19.99): Old ben, Vader. Build is a smallish room with some stacked 2x2s elevating it on the corners with a sliding door and a small trapdoor for ben to disappear through (though that might be a bit dark for lego) $20-30 location set: Detention block rescue ($29.99): stormtrooper Luke, Leia, stormtrooper. Build is the detention cell and console han shoots with a vent trapdoor that leads too another set. Other sets: Trash compacter escape ($39.99): Trash compacter build with closing walls that the detention block set goes on top of. Door at the back of the trash compacter can connect to the sliding door in the duel set. Comes with Stormtrooper Han, Chewie, Imperial officer, Imperial navy trooper. Lord Vader's TIE advanced ($69.99): TIE advanced with Vader, Luke (pilot), a stormtrooper, and Tarkin. Imperial Star Destroyer ($149.99): Interior has a microscale hanger bay with micro TIE fighter, a bridge, and a barracks. Comes with 4 imperial crew, Tagge, 2 stormtroopers, and 2 navy troopers. The Millenium Falcon ($159.99): Millenium Falcon with Luke (farmboy), Leia, Ben, Han, Chewie, C-3PO, R2-D2, Vader (new red eye print for helmet), and 2 stormtroopers. UCS/MBS: MBS Yavin ($399.99): Yavin temple with Hanger containing midi-scale x and y wings, a briefing room, throne room hall, the room where Leia and the other rebels that stayed behind watched the trench run, the room where jyn gets briefed in RO, and an armory, as well as a Midi-scale TIE. Comes with Luke (yavin with molded medal), Han (molded medal), Leia, Chewie, R2, Threepio, Mon Mothma, Dodanna, Wedge, Dutch Vander, 2 rebel ground crew, 2 honor guard, 4 troopers, a TIE pilot, and a stormtrooper.
