  1. The first two I don't mind as much, since you can fix them easily without needing extra parts, but the stripe is probably the biggest problem with the set. a print or two would have been nice, but I don't think it looks awful without it. Yes! have you seen the MOC someone made of a porg battlepack where they've all got stud shooters? It would make a great TIE fighter for 2021 since we seem to get one every year or so. Also, black katanas make pretty good darksabers, better than lego's official version, anyway.
  2. It's almost exclusivly clones, and I think I know why. Tons of people want these massive clone armies, but look at the sets. besides the 212th battle pack, we only had: 1 501 in the $20 at-rt, 1 501 in the $50 headhunter, 2 212 in the $60 MHC, and 2 shock troopers in the police gunship. Since people have been trying to army build them like they came in battle packs, when on average it's about $30 of set per trooper, the price skyrockets. I don't like it either, my clone arms consists of 1 501st, 3 p1 shinies, a 212th airbourne, and a few kashyyk, with a few purist customs. Luckily that 501st set comes out soon.
  3. That's a great figure @cycbuild, and it honestly looks like the prints were made for that figure, it's crazy that Mercy's legs and an old republic jedi torso look that good together, but I have to ask, is she in front of the default windows XP wallpaper?
  4. I wouldn't say sellers being greedy. As a seller on bricklink, I usually put my items at a slightly lower price than the next cheapest for it's condition/quantity, and it seems to be the same for lots of other sellers. What then happens is people buy the cheapest ones first, and when demand increases on the site the price goes up because people are buying all the cheaper ones, and those who had been previously selling it cheaper might move the price up to reflect the new value. If a seller jacks up the price too high, people usually will just buy a cheaper one or wait until a seller posts one for less to sell it faster. The problem arises when demand, and the rate of the figure selling, increases so much that the price starts steadily moving up, which is how we get rebels ahsoka selling for more than the pelta-class she came in. In addition to the above, if it's a clone wars set, it's probably due to season 7 increasing popularity of the show. I know Rex and Ahsoka just skyrocketed in price.
  5. The minifigures really are shining this wave, I'm gonna have to see what Tazer and Blazer go for on bricklink in the months after the set releases.
  6. Yeah, it's actually more accurate than the castle crossbow they use in a way. It's unfortunately been confirmed by reliable leakers that MBS is dead. We could still get a massive location set as a d2c at some point, but the label and line are dead.
  7. I don't know if it'd be clone wars, but another headhunter would be pretty cool. So there's another one? I'd guess a mandalorian set since we already know TLJ rushed 2 baby yoda sets into production, why not a third set? Forgot about that one.
  8. Yeah, and there's got to be times that they haven't even seen the MOC they're using the same technique on, where it's just a coincidence. I like you idea of if they use a fan's technique they credit them in the manuel.
  9. Agreed, I get the playability and it's cool, but what would it cost lego to also include the blasters, 5 cents? Seige of mandalore wave: Microfighters: Gauntlet starfighter ($9.99): Rook Kast AT-TE ($9.99): Clone AT-TE driver Headhunter vs snail tank ($19.99): Warthog and a b1 Battle packs: Clone legions ($14.99): 2 332nd troopers, 212th trooper, plain white trooper. Build is a BARC speeder. Mandalorian civil war ($14.99): 2 death watch and 2 mauldalorians (1 male and 1 female each), build is some terrian with exploding feature and catapult-type function like they're flying with thier jetpacks. Duel: Duel on Mandalore ($19.99): Maul and ahsoka, with a throne room build and window-exploding feature. $20-30 location set: battle of mandalore ($29.99): Vaughn, mauldalorian, death watch mandalorion, saxon. Build is the part of that bridge they fight on and a bit of floor with a crate to represent a bit of the docks, jam packed with exploding features. Other sets: Yerbana battle ($49.99): Snail tank with droid command post and obligatory BARC, comes with 212th trooper, 501st jet trooper, Anakin, tactical droid and 2 b1s. Z-95 headhunter ($59.99): Comes with Warthog, 501st clone pilot, Obi-wan, Cody, and 2 b2s Gauntlet starfighter ($79.99): Comes with Maul, Rook Kast, 2 mauldalorians, Bo-Katan, and Rex Venator cruiser ($159.99): Playscale cruiser like the 2014 star destroyer. Comes with Maul (in cage), Ahsoka, Rex, 2 332nd, 2 clone officer/crew, 1 501st and ARC jesse. UCS: (doubt we'd get one based on the show, so I'll go for something that showed up in the show but is based off episode 2), UCS AT-TE ($399.99): large AT-TE, comes with clone AT-TE pilot and clone trooper (p1). These actually sound pretty fun to build to me, so I'll be MOCing up at least the micros, duel, and battle of mandalore sets.
  10. Tintin, 100%. I read those comics when I was a kid, and remember being pretty excited when the 2010ish animated film came out. Might be a bit dark (from what I remember of the comics there's a lot of guns and alchahol), but it's not like it'd be more mature then the simpsons.
  11. The only sets we haven't seen images of are the UCS/MBS/whatever for the second half of 2020 and the rumored baby yoda bust. Other than that there's no reason to think we'd see anything else.
  12. This is already one of the best capital ship MOCs I've ever seen, and you're saying you've still got a long way to finish it? Amazing shaping, I like the use of the old dark gray against the dark bluish grey.
  13. Yeah, it looks longer than the rest of the tank. Doesn't look to difficult to fix if you don't want it, just remove a few of the smaller parts along the length.
  14. That looks really good, I think the guns especially are a big improvement. It looks super accurate, and I like the custom sticker renders. I do think the ingot works better than the triangle tiles, but it looks pretty good either way.
  15. Yes! I knew I was forgetting something, we totally need that. Makes me want to mod the 2018 x-wing right now! First off, I totally agree, the fleet troopers are one of my favorite star wars designs I and would welcome a battle pack with open arms (I think I have like 16 of the 2008 version, none of the newer ones though). As for OT sets selling the best, I think the fact that the playscale sets for them sell the best is a testament to how good the films are. Any wave that isn't specifically for a new movie almost always has a plurality of OT sets compared to PT and ST, and since those films are newer and have more action you'd think kids would like them more
  16. I'll confess my legends experience consists almost solely of Timothy Zahn's legends books, but these sets sound pretty cool from what I can recognize. Finishing out the films with a rogue one wave, almost entirely based on scarif since that's where most of the missing stuff is: (sets with the *** symbol can connect the terrain portions to each other with pins and technic bricks.) Microfighters: TX-225 tank ($9.99): hovertank pilot Blue Squadron x-wing ($9.99): General Antoc Merrick Hammerhead corvette vs zeta shuttle ($19.99): Rebel captain and Imperial shuttle pilot. Battle packs: Scarif Rebels battle pack*** ($14.99): 4 different scarif rebel designs, two of which have the hoth helmet in dark blue. The build is some scarif terrain with a small speeder. Scarif Imperials battle pack*** ($14.99): 2 shoretroopers, a death trooper, and a stormtrooper, the build is some more terrain and an orange crate. Duel: Showdown on scarif*** ($19.99): The sort of walkway Jyn has to go on to align the radar dish, the dish itself, Jyn, Krennic. They have stud shooters in addition to their normal blasters and the ground is tiled, making it easy for the stud shooters to knock them over. $20-30 location set: Rebel Ambush*** ($29.99): Comes with Chirrut and 2 stormtroopers. Build is some terrain and imperial tech, and there's a function where some foliage opens to reveal chirrut to ambush the stormtroopers. Other sets: Blue Squadron X-wing ($79.99): Blue-detailed x-wing with Merrick, an astromech, Cassian (blue jacket), a rebel trooper, and Mon Mothma. Scarif citadel*** ($99.99): kind of like a smaller vader's castle. Interior rooms are the room where K-2SO dies, the records room where they get the plans, the command center, and a hallway or two. Comes with Cassian (disguised), K-2SO, Jyn (disguised), 2 stormtroopers, Krennic, and an imperial officer. Zeta shuttle ($129.99): Shuttle has some interior space in the cockpit and the cargo bay to fit the rebels. Comes with Bodhi, Jyn, Baze, Colonel Tonc, an imperial officer, imperial ground crew, and 2 stormtroopers. Hammerhead corvette ($159.99): Hammerhead corvette with launching escape pods. Comes with Raddus, Draven, a rebel captain, 4 rebel fleet troopers, a stormtrooper and vader. That's the standard amount I've been doing but we'd still need an AT-ACT and a TIE reaper. UCS: UCS U-wing ($299.99): large U-wing (basically a minifigure-scale one), comes with 2 u-wing pilots and Bistan. I'll probably do the seige of mandalore next, then the rest of clone wars, rebels, mandalorain, and resistance.
  17. i think so, when the last fan vote happened the options were Home One, Palpatine's arrest and slave one with landing pad. Home one interior won, but we got palpatine's arrest a few years later, and of course they've been a few slave ones and the cloud city set.
  18. If you mean a specific subset, like ones from the clone wars show or older ones with the yellow tones, than I can't really give you much advice there, but in general, I'd say it depends. There are a few pretty expensive figures, and there's some that are outrageously expensive and probably not worth it (Malgus, Revan, Rebels Ahsoka), but if you enjoy collecting them, go for it! If you really enjoy collecting them, it'll be worth it to you.
  19. That fits really well, I'm gonna have to bricklink the piece for my mara jade.
  20. I think it's black widow's from the set based on her now-delayed solo film. @ARC2149Nova Is her torso a sticker or a real print? It looks too accurate to be a print from something else to me, but everything else there is purist.
  21. That's actually a good point, Lego will want some spider-men, and probably more than just 2 suits. Kids move on from things somewhat fast, so at this point most kids don't really care to much about endgame. I guarantee they'd rather have something like this: So hypothetically, if one is coming, it'll likely be some MCU outfits (Maybe an iron man suit like Midas or Disco, not the red/gold, something like fat thor, etc), but not the main versions of those characters, and probably a fair bit of spider-men and first appearence heroes.
  22. Yeah, the old hood piece quite literally looks as if it was molded expressly for palptine's ROTJ robes. And tan is *technically* more accurate but it just looks wrong on him, I agree that a lighter grey would work better.
  23. ROYAL GUARD PONCHO. ROYAL GUARD PONCHO. ROYAL GUARD PONCHO. Jokes aside, besides an update to the royal guard, I don't think there's anything they could really do. Maybe palpatine's face? This might just be me but I never liked his newer tan one.
  24. Good to know, I'll include a gunner seat in the update I'm making. I've got a bricklink wanted list, looks like I can convert it into an XML and email it to you if you want to PM me your email.
  25. I haven't been able to find images of the interior, does the gunner sit in the turret? If so, does the pilot sit where he does in my MOC or somewhere else? I'll try to fit a gunner into the empire at war version I'm working on. As for the size, it's almost exactly the same size as the tx-225 set, which is probably a bit small for it's legends appearance.
