[MOC] Renault FT-17
Ivorrr replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great build as always! Now can't wait for the KV1/2... It would be astonishing if you made the video of it next to a real example (Bowington Museum in England or probably any tank museum in Russia)! I understand though that this type of trip just to take a picture or video would be quite an effort and expense - just a thought ;)- 22 replies

Good job with the lowrider. Reminds me of the good old days of GTA vice city and San Andreas. -

Hello fellow Technic Lovers! This is my first topic on the forum, although I have been reading for around 2 years when I got out of my dark ages. Re-discovering LEGO Technic is a fantastic experience both as relaxing hobby, creating and solving designs. I have been working for almost 5 months on my second MOC (1st wasn't worthy of this forum). I have stumbled upon an issue which I cannot resolve after trying out multiple ideas. It has been about 1,5 months being stuck and that's the last piece of my MOC missing. I am trying to create a bumper which needs to look and have dimensions like (or as close as possible) to the sketch attached and needs to be in LGB or anything simillar (white/silver/...). Technic parts, bricks, anything else permitted. Can you help me to design this piece please? The numbers represent studs so it needs to be 20 studs wide Apologies for the quality of the sketch... https://bricksafe.com/files/Ivorrr/Idea.png

Your Best Technic Bargains
Ivorrr replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was lucky to grab it from a local yard sale. Lady selling her son's Legos he wasn't playing with anymore. Didn't have a clue what she was selling. Neither was I aware what was it as I just saw technic beams in a plastic bag and realized after checking at home. -

Mobile crane mk1(without wheels) for £4. To point out, just the buggy motor itself is worth £50+ -
Cool but I agree with: I don't have a buwizz so can't compete to actually get one :(

[Video review] 10265 Ford Mustang

Love from the first sight. Great review as always! -
That's a good question. I couldn't find a way as well as you can't compare the versions of the mocs. Just the latest one is available for selection. I have just done the rebuild from 1.3 to 1.4 yesterday and the only "rare" pieces to lookout for are the red elbow pieces but you can change it to #6 90 degrees connector 32014. Actually it's got less "rare" pieces by my count (less 5x7 frames and not using the 7 stud gear rack anymore for example). Awesome job! Thank you very much for all your work to get that mod available and instructions.

Hi Erik. Thank you for doing this re-build of the 42083. Actually I just got one myself but will wait until you finish your project to build it as it looks like going to be a huge improvement over the original. Good work! Keep it up! Regarding this point, rack and pinion is still the only manufactured steering method. Electrical connections ("steer by wire") used for steering without a mechanical link is still under development by all the automotive companies. Will be comming live soon though. So yes, rack and pinion is still accurate.

Hi Brunojj, first of all I would like to say how much I admire the P1 MOC you have created! I have already bought the instructions and have all pieces except the infamous exhaust but will figure out sth for sure. I wanted to note that lepin rip offs are already being sold on UK ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-Technic/123533668851?hash=item1cc32e31f3%3Ag%3AW6cAAOSwwtdcC8nn&LH_Auction=1 I think the only thing we can do is to report such items as counterfeit. Im sad for your awesome work being copied without your permission and any credit. Keep up the good job! Cant wait to see the PF version of the P1!

42096 Porsche 911 RSR
Ivorrr replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think he meant that because u-joint's bending point is at least 2 studs away from the steering wheel. You need to have something to guide and restrict the steering wheel in a cone shape of movement Not sure if what I wrote is understandable -

Technic 2019 Set Discussion
Ivorrr replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That would be awesome if we had a new RC buddy motor. Especially the old ones are not in any models and are so pricey to buy... Regarding the 42095, not agreeing with the critics from everyone. 42065 is awesome and a successor tracked racer is something I will be looking forward. Maybe it will have some sort of suspension this time? Basically, any "upgrade" from 42065 would be expected, not just changing the cab and shape of tracks EDIT: looking again at the leaked pic, there is an antenna similar to the pf buggy communication (although 42065 had an "antenna" which wasn't want actually as well).
