  1. ^ Agree with you, Brickdoctor. Particularly with that very last sentence. It's a funny thing reading this and other Star Wars forums and hearing fans' reactions to how Ahsoka's arc was wrapped up in The Clone Wars. It strikes me that a lot of fans will never be satisfied with a character's story arc until they know exactly what happens to them up until the very moment the character dies. I'm of the opinion that we don't necessarily need that with Ahsoka. There's nothing wrong with using our imaginations to dream up what she does next...that element of the "unknown" is something that Star Wars has been missing lately, IMO.
  2. Love this! What a huge improvement over the "official" set. I would gladly pay the price for a set like this.
  3. Great job! You've really captured each of the scenes extremely well here. I'll also add my vote to the cool waterfall effect - that's great!
  4. I think I'll wait to order Orthanc in July; hopefully there's a good freebie during that month. I already have 3 Jor-El minifigs on the way.
  5. Yes, Tauriel definitely needs the more feminine Elven hair piece. Having the piece in an additional color would also be nice for MOCs.
  6. *ahem* http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Triclops
  7. I hope this is the case as well. But I suspect that it has more to do with getting their inventory on time (case in point: Black Gate).
  8. Plus, it would save you a whole lot more than paying 20-25% over MSRP from TRU. Why AFOLs continue to support their price gauging practices is beyond me.... Anyhow, Tolkien brings up a great point that Lothlorien could make a good $40-50 exclusive set. While it only had a brief appearance in the films, it's one of the only locations not yet represented in Lego form (aside from the gaping hole in the LOTR theme that is Gondor....).
  9. ^ Those two versions of Sauron can't really be compared. One is clearly a minifigure, while the other is...something else. More like a buildable figure.
  10. ^ I agree with that setup, but there's no way we'll see a Lothlorien set on the same kind of scale as 10236. I'd be happy with an $80 set if they could somehow scale it down to that size.
  11. My wife would agree with you on that; she always calls out the fact that my Lego collection is probably around 80% grey bricks because of the Star Wars theme. This set looks to be a fantastic "nature" parts pack, even for those not interested in the Star Wars theme.
  12. Actually, most of the minifigures in the set have the non-pupiled eyes. But for some reason Han Solo has pupils.
  13. I just saw that. I wonder why...?
  14. WOW!!! This will be a definite buy for me; I'll probably wait for a sale and/or promotion to pick this one up, but it's definitely going in my collection. The only thing that could have been improved on, in my eyes, is more of a resemblance to the huts that we see in the film: http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/4/4a/Ewok_village.jpg By the way, I couldn't agree more with this statement from Marco Bessa in the design video: "As a Lego Star Wars fan, you might think that this is actually quite a refreshing set in the whole assortment because usually you find on the shelves a lot of spaceships. They are definitely cool, but they are nothing like this one." More Star Wars locations & playsets, please!!!
  15. The new sets are now listed on the U.S. S@H site. Except for the Black Gate...
  16. So much conflicting information....
  17. ^ The picture that CM4S posted is not 10236.
  18. Actually, James Burns from JediNews.co.uk posted on the Rebelscum.com forums that he's received the advanced press kit for the Ewok Village as well. Apparently it is the set that will be revealed tomorrow.
  19. ....and where are you getting that information? 10-24 is quite a large range.
  20. While that may be true, we could just as easily get two more waves - one in Summer 2014 and another in Summer 2015, after each remaining Hobbit film. It all depends on sales; which, unfortunately, up to this point we have heard no official word about.
  21. ^ That seems odd, since it's been spotted at retail already. Unless there was something wrong with some of the Canadian shipments specifically...
  22. I think we're all assuming this, but has there been any solid confirmation that the sets will be available from S@H in the U.S. on June 1? I would hate to get my hopes up for ordering these on Saturday for nothing.
  23. Has anybody actually found the Tonto's Campfire set in a Toys R Us store yet? I've been checking lately, but keep coming up empty handed.
  24. ^ No, I don't believe so. That was last week's promotion.
