  1. And let's not forget the abominations of Galidor and Jack Stone...on second thought, yes, let's forget them!
  2. Them's some mighty fine wagons!
  3. Nice design, it would look right at home in 7777!
  4. You could always use it for his jawa barbecue scene in Ep. IV...those jawas burn hot, you know!
  5. I'd hire an underling to run the company so I could spend my time diving into a massive pile of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck. And occasionally order the staff to produce parts in new colors for my MOCs.
  6. Saying this out of context would probably get me slapped: Nice caboose!
  7. Well done! That's a great redesign of one of my favorite sets!
  8. Nice build and very unique color scheme! It complements your other locomotives well.
  9. The station looks good. The larger canopy is a definite improvement. That Terrier and the 1400 are nice too!
  10. Once again you've proved to be the master of micro-scale! Just one question: does it have power functions?
  11. 7750...it came along before my time, but to me it represents the golden age of Lego trains.
  12. Modern parts and building techniques, sure. Modern-day locomotives, not my cup of tea. Although I get that City generally focuses on a present-day setting.
  13. Yes, that's a big turn-off about the train stations that have been offered lately. Unfortunately, most of the trains are more modern types too. The recent Disney D2C gives us hope on both fronts - a proper steam engine and a good-looking station! Hopefully City can get on board with a similar style (pun intended).
  14. I chose the gardener solely because she reminds me of Thelma Harper from the classic Carol Burnett skits.
  15. Great MOC! I like the technique you used for the cowcatcher. And seeing it on the running boards gives one a sense of how massive the real thing is!
  16. Great design - the cab and bogie detailing are top notch! I second that!
  17. Great looking engine! My favorite parts are the rods and the tender.
  18. Exactly, that should only be used for important stuff like asking the government to build a Death Star! Also, in my day, Lego only gave us megaphones as blasters. So even stud shooters are an improvement for me.
  19. Nice work - it took me a while to realize that those were Lego models in the pictures with the backgrounds!
  20. Great work cramming the motor into such a confined space! The tender is a definite improvement too.
  21. You're welcome! Unfortunately, there are no ramp pieces for the standard-size Lego track, but page 50 of Lego's 1980s-era 7777 Ideas Book includes a helpful tutorial for building incline supports.
  22. I've done some inclines with 9v trains before. The generally accepted guideline is a grade of 2 plates per 16-stud piece of track. I've gotten away with one brick per section of track, but it's unstable in curves and hard on the motor. Since a plate is 3.2mm thick, you're looking at around 286 pieces of track to ascend 6 feet.
  23. That's a nice engine with excellent details all around!
