Insectoids; are Zotoxians necessarily bad?
Pdaitabird replied to Bornin1980something's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
They can be whatever you want them to be...that's the beauty of not knowing the "official" story. Example: I played with Star Wars Lego long before I ever saw the movies. I knew some of the names, but had many of their roles backwards (stormtroopers were the good guys fighting Darth Vader, etc.) Looking back, I think it was more fun that way. Back on topic, all I've heard about Insectoids was that their planet was invaded by giant bugs, so they used bug-shaped vehicles to blend in. -
For how long will the LEGO company exist?

Here's hoping the Lego Group keeps on going until the Last Judgment! -
So essentially a modernized version of 3737-1? That would be fantastic!

Nice MOC! All it needs is an antenna to "scramble" enemy transmissions. Ok, had to reach pretty far for that one...

Heresy!

You've managed to pack a lot of detail into a small package! Does it use binoculars as a coupling? I spent several minutes trying to find a tank engine in the picture before I realized what you meant!

This may not be relevant, but if I may contribute my $.02: I read an interesting anecdote somewhere about the origin of our idea of "ninja wear." Apparently, stagehands in early 20th century Japanese plays dressed in all-black with their faces covered to blend in with the unlit areas beside the stage. At some point, a creative playwright or director got the idea to have the actors playing ninja to dress like the stagehands. The audience, used to ignoring black-clad stagehands, ignored the ninja character too - until he struck! The practice made its way from plays to movies, and the rest is history.

Nice looking locomotive! The custom decals and lights add a lot to the realism. Also nice part use for the door handle.

In that case, just go with Starkiller Base! -
Yes. The ghosts are all the people Barney Fife shot off-camera while trying to holster his gun!

Accurate 3D-model of minifig
Pdaitabird replied to mattias_bygger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm glad you found a minifig model that you can use. I wonder how many Lego bricks it would take to build the wall? :) -
That's a nice looking train! I especially like the detailing on the flatbed cars. Are the frames SNOT or tiled over? Logging trains are a fascinating subject, as companies cut so many corners and often used outrageously cheap equipment. I've even seen photographs of an engine with special grooved wheels - it was designed to roll on crude "rails" made of rough-hewn poles!

Accurate 3D-model of minifig

You might try GrabCAD - it's my go-to source for 3D models of all kinds. I found several minifigs in their library...not sure how accurate they are, though. You could dimension the model you download and check it against a minifig with calipers. -

I'm not sure, but I think all you need is the BB code for each picture. -

In combination with the reports of the children and Dino not being in the set, could this be evidence of a theme in the works? -
Just this morning, probably less than an hour ago.

Oh no, they're back! I just reported a post advertising fake passports and IDs. I looked at the profile and they had some interesting answers to the questions: Favorite theme: Eurobricks Recently bought/built set: toils Interests: yes That last one got me! Perhaps we should require a fifteen--page essay from new members!

That's a beautiful building with so many details! As others have said, the colors loik great together. (As an aside, the title made me think this could be the setting to a spin-off of "Where Are My Pants? from TLM1")!

Nice engines! If it weren't for the blue background on the renders, I wouldn't be able to tell where the real prototypes end and the models begin! -
There was a set from 2002 called Tusken Raider Encounter that was based on a scene from AOTC where Anakin slaughters an entire village of Tuskens. Not the most kid-friendly subject.
