There are five different versions for this part! I found three in my collection and: 32174: ok, all the way 60176: not ok, but it goes half way 93571: ok, all the way Yours seems to be the most recent one.

Going mechanical is the Lego way Anyway, it seems you are codding like this: move 90º, move -90º, move 90º….. Doing it this way means that errors accumulate, and you might get what you got, 90 degrees out of sync. Instead, I suggest something like: go to 45º angle, go to -45º angle, go to 45º angle… this way, errors do not accumulate... and you wont even need to go to 0 to initialize.

Here is one possibility. It would be nice with only one UJ but the angle is to big.

Back in november, inspired by some of the available images, I tried to build some ornithopter like thing motorized (PU of course ) and it is very funny... although still a bit too big. Maybe I can make a simple movie with that. I know about your developement, lets see it!

I think that feature is not available in the current version (but I might be wrong). Assuming that, what I am saying is that if I were to decide, I would not prioritize that feature. I am all for the other features!!! :-)

Well, maybe you are right… I probably would not go that way… can be solved with current situation and there are other interesting things to do, like support for other remotes.

If you read a bit more about that example you will notice that it requires two remotes, one connected to each hub. So not an example of a remote talking to many hubs. I think you should consider the general rules: One remote can connect to a single hub at the time One hub can talk with other or several other hubs So you can, for instance, connect the remote to one hub and forward some of the commands to other hub(s). So I think the answer is yes, one remote, either Lego or XBox, can send commands to several hubs, but you have to have it connected to one of the hubs and handle the command forwarding to the other hubs. Allowing the connection of a remote to several hubs at the same time would arise several confusing issues, like which button is for which hub, etc. Also, most probably, remotes can't be connected to two devices at the same time

Just voted. Incredible contest, very good entries, and no cars, very refreshing! Voting system is very nice but it is more difficult to have to vote for all entries... Imagine a contest with 100 entries! It should be possible to vote only for the top N.

We could convert 1-15 to 0-14 on every vote and then force contestant vote on himself to 0. If contestant voted more than 1 for himself, it will always be 0 and other contestants will be damaged in one point only at most.

This is really cool! Back in november, after seeing the images from Lego Ornithopter 10327, I did a prototype for that mechanism, and I know some of the difficulties. It was an idea for TC26… but unfortunately no time for it. And yours, made as a C-model! Well done!

It is not a very nice vehicle but it looks cool! With the dump bed on top of the HOG it becomes a bit difficult to access... the HOG could be a knob wheel and then you could put another HOG on top of the dump bed?
