  1. I think, @Milan, this deserves frontpage :P Amazing mod! I am already collecting the parts from my inventory (I did disassemble the set long time ago :D).
  2. @brunojj1 of course, Lego get more expensive too. Situation, as of now, is that you can buy most of the sets for 50-65% of RRP without any issues. With Cada I believe it is similar. However, as I did mention - we will see in few years if Cada do not "stall" - if people are willing to make MOC's out of one set (alternates) and this become popular, they have a great chance to successfully compete with Lego as long as they will be much cheaper. Hell, even I will risk buying it, having over few thousands of spare pins from Lego to replace the Cada's one where it is needed. However with Lego I know that someone will make a great MOC, I know that someone will improve them - with Cada they are mostly "perfected" by designers like you, which is a great and a bad thing at the same time. Time will tell. I do cross my fingers for Cada to became a great Lego competitor, fair and square. Lego needs it. We need it.
  3. Guys, I get it. Still, this will take a few years - if there will be enough people to buy their products and make them better, this have a future. However Cada is getting more and more expensive and in a year or two this will have a big impact on the decision making of their customers.
  4. I do follow this thread really often. What I see, and I am happy about - Lego has a competitor who is better and better. But also more expensive with time. What I do see as well is that, a big advantage for Lego, due to the pieces which Cada makes just for a specific models they will not be so popular in a long run. It is difficult to build something different out of the model made by them and let's be honest - not everyone do have unlimited space for display models. With Lego you can always rebuild it to something else, often much better than original, using the same parts. Will this happen to Cada models? I doubt, but maybe I am wrong.
  5. I do not comment to often, but this is just amazing. Definitely on my list to do, added on rebrickable :) Thank you!
  6. I do not know why it is so difficult for Lego to create combined set - remote control + pneumatic. If they are increasing the price any way, they could go fully complicated from time to time. I would kill for a nice model which can drive and also has a pneumatic - it does not have to be big. Still 42043 is far superior and I wish for a newer one.
  7. @Aleh you are reporting chargeback to your bank, always - never directly to Visa/MC/etc..
  8. So @agena - it is a "common" scam lately -> someone is buying something original. Then is making a return because of "damaged box" but is sending back the fake. Really often, as I see you did buy this as a used/opened set (amazon warehouse sticker), employees are not aware of that and they are refunding the money to the scammer. Just report it to Amazon with pictures, you will get money back with no problem, Amazon does not play chicken while it is about the refunds. @Aleh actually, chargeback is working really well. Visa/Mastercard are helping you when the store/seller are making problems. I know because I did use it a few times already from different reasons. The only thing which Visa/Mastercard (I am not sure how it works with amex or different issuers) requires is the proof (mails, pictures) that you did try to resolve the dispute with store/seller and you are reaching out for chargeback as a last resource. Works like charm :)
  9. @Lidar can you be so kind and add some pictures of the assembly or the whole mechanism? Thank you! :)
  10. That is beautiful... @grohl, @allanp - I would say it is worth to create a separate topic with that post (copy it) and close it right after front paging (with a link to this thread for comments). Is it not possible? :)
  11. According to: 680$... xD I am sorry, I have no idea how to comment on this. I have no idea how many hubs, engines and new pieces it would have to have for me to even consider buying this for more than ~50% of RRP.
  12. I would not be afraid -> like Optimus, this will go really fast down the hill with it's price when it hits the shelves of the retailers other than Lego. Do not know how in Czech, but in Poland you can get Optimus for ~420 PLN (~90 euro) from time to time and for ~100 normally. I expect this to be available for ~160-170 euro fast. Maybe even lower, depends on the initial price from Lego.
  13. I have to say.. this makes me to buy both sets. If I grab them for a nice price, you will see one more sold instruction on rebrickable. Amazing.
  14. @Zerobricks the answer is pretty easy -> one piece instead of many = more rigid and sturdy. Plus I assume they will really do the 1:12 series a thing and each year we will get one of them - 1:8 and 1:12, so the new piece will be used more. EDIT: 1:12 not 1:10.. I knew I did not write it as it should be :D
  15. This should give a few ideas to our beloved technic designers ( @grohl) :) I would love to see something like that in 1:8 supercars.
  16. So.. I have mixed feelings about this set. Great part pack - definitely. Great Ford GT 2022 - absolutely not. Personally I may buy it for alternative builds from Rebrickable, doubt I will build the Lego version. Too bad, curious why they did not prolong the back of the car.
  17. Bought it. Purely for the VIP points to have for the bonus codes :P
  18. I have to admit, your builds are better and better! This one is gorgeous! Well done.
  19. Hey @jb70 ! I am currently building the pimp my version and I do have a problem, same as on pimp my Bugatti -> the paddles on the steering wheel cannot push the hi-lo gearbox up. Shifting down is working more or less. Exactly the same issue I have on Bugatti. I did not have any issues on the original model. Changing the gears from the top cog is working fine, sometime it does skip from 5th gear straight to the 3rd, but it is ok. On Bugatti it is a bit worse. I am not sure if this is expected or somehow I did mess this on two different builds in the past year. On Lambo it is even worse but mainly because it is on the shelf mostly and I did not play with switching gears for a few weeks (worse on both -> paddles do not work at all with 4<->5, on top one do have big issues with 4<->5). Anyone who did Pimp my and can share the experience? I can upload a video and pictures of the mechanism. Thank you! :) EDIT: I AM DUMB. I was testing it before the elastic band on the top -> it works perfect! Hell, never saw it to be so smooth.. the best iteration! THANK YOU!
  20. "old" set. It was my dream at some point.. came back to Lego too late to get in a decent price. Nevertheless, a great MOC! Looks amazing and maybe this time I can afford it :)
  21. Just finished @kbalage's video on the "new" digital instruction on Lego website. Personally, if I would work in Lego on this I would be ashamed. So many mistakes were left untouched, video name is wrong.. where is the QA? This is so wrong.
  22. I had high expectations for this set, but Lego killed it. Well, at least some parts should be cheaper on BL so I can make my own version for Lego layout.
  23. I am not sure you were talking about it here before, currently I am "finishing" the collection for 2022 (two new sets are a small surprise :D) and I am building Mercedes duo. I really wish that Lego would produce all kinds of the wheel covers for F1 made by Pirelli.. they look gorgeous! One of the best prints I have ever seen in Lego. @kbalage do you think it is possible to reach out to Chris and ask him for that in the future? :D That would be awesome, even if an option only from B&P or Bricklink. Yellow tires, red tires, green and white. Would be amazing...
