  1. These series are definitely my favorite, it comes with so many great new moulds, I will need to use one of these moulds as a NPU for a crazy modular when I’ll start MOCing! I think these series will also be of interest to people who normally don’t care about the CMFs, such as myself! Looking very forward to getting all of them, especially the clown for his balloons! Also looking forward to see your fun review @WhiteFang EDIT: Didn’t see, you already reviewed them. Wow, I’m really overlooked!!
  2. What a gorgeous town! Wish I could see it in real! It would be great if you can present all your modulars in separate topics, I’d like to admire them separately!

  4. Congrats! It’s one of your best pictures IMO! I hope you’ll be able to enlarge your city one day and take new pictures, it’s fun to follow and see your progressions here
  5. I’ve seen some of his buildings but never this one! The MOC in the first photo is just incredible, how did he make this building like it’s falling over in real-time The falling police car in the third photo is incredible as well! I checked out his other MOCs too, this guy has some awesome MOCs! What do you think about the Staff Picks BTW? Thought you’d like some of the Staff Picks, especially the Helbling House, Le Cinéma Vox de Strasbourg, the roof of the House’s Lille-Fives and the Future House...
  6. Some excellent ideas posted by @koalayummies a while ago: I think we still miss very important things as a modular such as a police station and a post office as you mentioned, a museum, a concert hall/theater, a library, a school/university and a hospital. A normal sized shopping mall with a Lego store in it or/and a stand alone Lego store such as the one which didn’t pass the review on Ideas and an arcade (if the one on the Ideas doesn’t pass the review) would be fun IMO. What I’d really like to see as the next modular is a museum with Art Nouveau architecture or a hotel with Belle Époque architecture, something like a smaller version of this beautiful one by @cimddwc I don’t have any specific ideas of what the next modular is going to be and in which architecture, because a Diner was really unexpected for me.

  9. I personally like several buildings put in 32x32 or 48x32 baseplate. They look different and unique IMO... Three great examples: Old Town Pub by @lookl (instructions) A Summer In Tuscany by @paupadros Pedestrian Street by @Brickenberg (support on Ideas) Which one of his villas is your favorite? Villa Maison or Lionheart Villa? My favorite modulars by him are his both villas!
  10. What about @marcosbessa for example? He made some brilliant modulars when he was an AFOL!
  11. Hey everyone, I thought this would belong here, please move this thread if it’s wrong. I could find only one similar thread which had its last comment in 2014 so I preferred creating a new one than reviving a four year old topic. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if there’s a similar alive thread Just thought it would be interesting to create a topic where people can share how and when they got back into Lego/came out of their Dark Ages. Here’s how I got back into Lego: In August 2017, I started to want to get some bricks for making a remote control car and I discovered the great PAB service at S@H but I didn’t know which bricks in which quantities I needed to buy. Then, I looked at the Classic sets for getting big amounts of bricks for a reasonable price at S@H and saw that the price per piece ratio was much lower than that of the bricks in the PAB service. But I was wrapped up in something that includes cute smiley faces and has an incredible amount of details packed in its interior: the Parisian Restaurant! I was absolutely blown with the possibilities Lego had! I really wanted to get it but it was way too expensive for my budget- I ended up buying two Classic sets even if I wasn’t totally convinced. I tried to MOC a modular as my interest came to them but I didn’t have the skills and the bricks variety. After a while, I discovered other modulars available (the Palace Cinema, Detective’s Office, Brick Bank and Assembly Square) and I started to really like the AS as it has a European Architecture. The AS became a modular that I started to want to get too but the other modulars didn’t interest me, I didn’t like their architecture. They of course did grow on me and I don’t remember anymore how and which one: I discovered one of the retired modulars, following by all the other retired ones of the series! I became very familiar with all and then discovered Ideas, a couple of weeks later, discovered MOCs and the AFOL community... So how did you guys got back into Lego?
  12. You’re very welcome! I’m surprised you got so few replies on your topics, you deserve much more!

  16. You’re so lucky! I’ve found one MS, one GG, one GE and three TH on eBay each for 20$ in October Of course ordered them! Also found the DO for 93$ on BL. But none of these seven modulars arrived Fake sellers Now I don’t own any of these five modulars but plan to get the DO soon and then, BLing or getting the retired modulars... Your review is very subjective IMO. The GG would probably be my favorite with very tiny difference from the others (as every single modular is unique and different ) and I especially love it’s second floor!
  17. Can’t agree more! I like every single modular (of course except the MS) even the PC, it’s limo, stickers and interior aren’t very important for me, only it’s exterior is important as I’ll put my modulars in my future city and it looks really impressive from the exterior IMO. The brick-built doors are one of the specialities of Astrid which I really like for example. I’m just very happy to see different great designers than only Jamie, and welcome for any changes like the non-smiley faces...
  18. Exactly, I even thought about posting in the Favorite/Inspirational Sci-fi MOCs thread! I like this MOC and was thinking it was the time to select it. The main reason of selecting was the color scheme -it’s really surprising how white and olive green fit well together! And then I thought also that you’d love the roof! So selected it
  19. Great topic! Here are some great examples and inspiration for street lights: Streetlight Collection by Fuzzy Thoughts Bright Ideas for Making Lights by @jamieberard (I know, this name is familiar ) TheNewBlack - Lamps by @Legopard Legopard has also built other great furnitures/street accessories for his TheNewBlack project: check them out here! @alex54 has created an awesome topic about street accessories and there are many inspirational builds there too: In addition to traffic lights, bus stops and benches, you can also build a square with a fountain or a statue, and a park. Cheers!
