  1. These buildings never interested me before. I always preferred their big brothers but strangely I just start to like them! The only problem for me is they don’t fit with the modulars - two solutions: putting them in another district or MODing them. I searched for some MODs and alternative builds of the Bike Shop and Café, there are so much of them but there are only three I really liked (personal taste). So here are my favorites: Jewelry Store, Pizzeria, and Bricklyn Bike by @sonicstarlight House Church by @alanboar HK 31026 Alternate by Inyong Lee
  2. Slums of Mandalore by @I Scream Clone Jedha Collaborative Build by @goatman461 Elephant Building by @sheo (instructions available)
  3. While searching for new modular MOCs, I discovered some discussion about 16-wide modulars which has been held here on this thread some time ago: 24 April 2017 7 January 2017 4 January 2015 There are also some posts about 16-wide buildings but they didn’t have enough interest so didn’t become discussions... BTW, found another great 8-wide modular by @SollX
  4. Did you see it @Bricked1980, the other alternative build looks a bit like a pirate ship...
  5. Did you see it, the other alternative build looks a bit like a pirate ship...
  6. Oh wow, of course I enjoyed! Has a very interesting and unique je ne sais quoi atmosphere and feeling! Great color scheme too! Really love that Can’t wait to see the rest of the city
  7. Rundale-Bren Pier by @vitreolum Transportation Company Office by @DwalinF 8-Wide Modular Challenge by justin_m_winn
  8. I was believing that the upcoming 31077 Pastry Shop? was the fifth set and they were still continuing...
  9. I’m not sure if this is already said but the 31078 Treehouse seems to have a pirate themed alternative build although the image in the leaked catalog is low quality...
  10. Great MOC, love the effect created with the 1x1 plates, especially with the lights! The interior is very nice as well! You’re so talented at replicating real buildings
  11. Great! So happy those MOCs are made! Thanks! I created a thread just to post inspirational modulars, I personally post there three MOCs everyday, @Digger of Bricks and @Bricked1980 are posting some too, although I wish there are more people posting inspirational MOCs... Hopefully there’re enough inspirational MOCs to post Anyway, here’s the topic if you’re interested about: That would be great, although the upcoming Sanctum Santorum has interestingly a quite detailed façade, it must not be too difficult to mod it to a modular... This MOC is great! I saw some people who put it in their city. Even if it looks like a modular (the sidewalk), it’s not made with the modular standards. See here for the modular standards. The Ninjago City is very interestingly built with the modular standards though, but it looks too eye-catching and enormous when put with the modulars.
  12. I don’t know how to thank you @Digger of Bricks! You made me discover an amazing MOCer! I’ve seen and loved one of his builds a while ago (I didn’t know it was from him) and I was searching for it for one month! No need to say which one was it, because it will be of course selected as a staff pick
  13. Wow! Another spectacular build by you! I really love your unique style! Amazing color scheme! Don’t know what to say
  14. ! Well, there are several 8 wide MOCs but they generally look so ugly... I tried to find some good examples: This building by @Barrie Crossan 8 wide is not the limit, @2013-lego has gone even further with this MOC with four 8 wide and one 6 wide building! It works quite well for the width of the buildings but it looks too unnatural IMO...
  15. “The last chance” by @Devid Steampunk Buildings by @adde51 Steampunk Buildings by @Zilmrud
  16. Instructions Instructions Instructions here or here Thanks! Glad you liked them!
  17. Yes, it seems you’re correct... But I’ll still list some 16 wide buildings I call “incredible”: This, this and this by @cimddwc This, this and this by Brick Ative (so @lookl and @Pakita) Every 16 wide Building by @Barrie Crossan These by @Kristel These by @peedeejay This by @koalayummies This by @flailx I tried to give examples in different architectures. I’m sure that there are many other incredible 16 wide modulars but those are the ones I which first come to my mind...
  18. If the problem about modulars is their piece count, I wonder if a 16 wide modular would be approved if ever there were one which reached to 10 000 supporters... Let’s say, there are some incredible 16 wide modulars but I’m not sure if I saw any incredible ones on Ideas.
  19. Yes, saw this one on Ideas before... so bad it didn’t have enough supporters I generally don’t like the modern buildings (just my taste) but this one looks so realistic, I love the atmosphere so much There are some other great modern MOCs and they may be selected in the near future But I hope Lego will not move to the modern architecture now, there’re many older important architectures for which they still haven’t make any modular.
  20. Staff Picks of 19/02/18: ~French Cafe by @CarsonBrick ~Uil Cafe by Brandon wyc ~Hearthstone Bakery by Jme Wheeler Our staff didn’t have time to have lunch today, that’s why they selected these MOCs Anyway, congrats to all these MOCers and see you tomorrow! Oh yes, discovered that yesterday! That’s quite impressive!
  21. Yes. I think it was a bit too big, the builder indicated it too. I wish they’d selected at least the best building, the corner one IMO. Glad you liked it! A building with a similar roof is coming this evening
