  1. That moc is my LEGO IDEAS project, Brick Town Police Station. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/fa5635b2-3b10-42e7-b7cc-027744005b84 I'm hoping that description on Wikipedia isn't true, as it seems to have a lot of similarities with my design.
  2. Ah yes, you're right. At least the projects are all still there. For a moment I was worried mine had all been deleted. Only problem is it means nobody can currently vote for any projects because as soon as you try to log in to cast your vote it stops the page from being viewable.
  3. Well I noticed the site was offline a couple of hours ago for "routine maintenance" so it looks as if they've made a major glitch in the process. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
  4. Slightly worried. I've just been on the Lego Ideas site and all my projects have vanished from the site. In fact it looks like everybody's projects have gone. Only contest entries are showing up. Has anyone else noticed this?
  5. Looks as if the police can play table tennis on the middle floor of the new police station.
  6. Thank you very much. Thanks a lot, glad you like it. I'm glad you noticed the licence plate. thanks very much. Thank you very much. The bumper is made up from one of these... With a couple of these clipped to each side... Thanks very much.
  7. I remember last year really looking forward to the new garbage truck. But then when the pics came out and it was revealed to be just a 4+ set I was really disappointed. I suppose it's worth considering that a few of the new rumored city sets might be 4+ juniors sets as well. Is there any sort of list that gives info about how many parts will be in each set? This might help to indicate which ones could be 4+. I hope it's not the Ice Cream truck, I'm really looking forward to that one.
  8. I just feel that a cafe would be the most likely thing to put alongside a book store, but I agree we really do have enough eating/drinking establishments in the modular buildings already. Thanks very much. I would really love it to be a post office with book shop next door or on the second floor. Great idea.
  9. If the rumors of a book shop are true then I think it would work quite well as an old fashioned, second hand style book shop, maybe with an antiques store attached as well. And then a small coffee shop or tea room on the second floor too. If not, then I reckon I might use that as the theme of my next moc.
  10. According to The Brick Fan, Parisian Restaurant is due to be retired at the end of this year. https://www.thebrickfan.com/retiring-lego-sets-for-2019/ There is no mention of Assembly Square or any other modulars on the list of retiring sets though.
  11. Thank you all for the comments, I'm glad you like the taxi. I've just added a second new entry to the Lego Ideas vintage vehicle contest as well. If you're interested in checking that one out you can find it here https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/bafd4186-bb49-4eb0-903f-910415f04391/application/9c8c08d6-f50c-47be-8598-be8d34ee1dac
  12. You are right, have a look at the post below which was posted on 24th August last year. Months before CG was officially announced. If the new one does turn out to be a book store then personally I think that has the potential to be pretty great.
  13. I'm glad you like it. Thank you very much.
  14. Although a car dealership is a possible contender for a future set, I don't think they'd make an auto related modular building 2 years in a row.
  15. So according to this list on The Brick Fan, Parisian Restaurant is gonna be the next modular to be retired, at the end of the year. https://www.thebrickfan.com/retiring-lego-sets-for-2019/
  16. I don't think the white base plate will have any connection with the next modular building. I remember in the past there was a similar discussion when it was revealed Lego were relaunching the blue base plates.
  17. I'm still waiting for them to send me the contracts.
  18. Thanks a lot, glad you like it. Thanks very much. If it gets selected in to the top 15 entries, then it will be down to a public vote to decide the winner. There is some pretty tough competition though.
  19. Hi everyone This is my new MOC. A vintage taxi loosely based on American style taxicabs from the 1950's / 60's. The model is 6 studs wide and contains 187 parts. I've designed this model as my entry in a contest currently running on LEGO Ideas. The brief is to design a vintage car to compliment the style of the LEGO modular buildings. i felt that a taxi would fit the bill pretty well, especially with the more recent American style modulars like Downtown Diner and Corner Garage. Anyway It's a long shot but if I was lucky enough to win the contest then this model would be released as a future gift with purchase set. Here's the link to contest entry over on LEGO Ideas. VINTAGE YELLOW TAXICAB The trunk can be opened to provide plenty of space for luggage. there is enough space inside the taxi to seat three minifigures. Here's a pic showing the taxi alongside 2 of my MOC modular buildings which are both also on LEGO Ideas, Bricks & Blooms and Brick Town Police Station. I hope you like the model, feel free to let me know what you think.
  20. The contest is running until November 20th and the winner is annnounced on December 11th. So I reckon it's unlikely this GWP vehicle will be produced and ready to release at the same time as the new modular in January.
  21. An interesting new contest has just been launched on LEGO Ideas. They want people to design a vintage car to go alongside the modular buildings and the winning design will be turned in to a future gift with purchase set. https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/bafd4186-bb49-4eb0-903f-910415f04391?query=&sort=top
  22. Hey thanks @paupadros . It was great to see it featured in Blocks mag, even though it's over a year since I first designed this MOC.
  23. A great looking modular with tonnes of details. I really like the texture you've created on the roofline and the taxi looks really good too. It really captures the busy and bustling atmosphere of a British Pub. Dang, it make me thirsty just looking at it.
  24. The Queen Bricktoria has been featured in the latest issue of Blocks Magazine (issue 60). It's a double page spread and a an interview with me talking about the design of the model. Also, I just wanted to post these pictures of a completed brick built version of the model. Thanks again @Miczur for sending me these pics.
  25. Woohoo!!! So glad Pirate Bay has made the cut Also the Piano. Really interested to see how these sets turn out once the Lego designers have worked their magic on them.
