  1. I'm really pleased to hear a new castle is on the way. As it's a creator set, hope it doesn't come with brick built horses though.
  2. I'm also in the UK and am waiting for my Police Station to arrive which I ordered at midnight on Jan 1st. Status says it's still in warehouse. I rang customer services on Thursday and was told they couldn't give me a date for when it will be dispatched. He said none of the UK orders have been sent out yet because they are still waiting for the border issues to be resolved with DPD. I do know of other people in the UK who have received their orders though so hopefully the orders must be starting to trickle through slowly now. Just hoping I'll still get the vintage car GWP now that it's sold out.
  3. Obviously it's hard to tell but that silhouette image sure looks like a police station shape to me. The front edge of the baseplate seems to jut out slightly at tho side, I wonder why that could be. Also it looks like the designer is not Jamie after all as was suggested is earlier rumors. Ah well, back to the drawing board for me then.
  4. Promobricks have added a high res image of the box art for the new Lion set. The box has a new design style. They've also ditched the "3 in 1" branding and called this an "8 in 1" set. Edit... Doh... My mistake. They have used a pic of an old set 4884. At first glance I thought that was a pic of the new set.
  5. Thanks a lot guys. Really glad my police station project has made it to 10k and thanks a lot to everyone who voted.
  6. I can answer that one as the second example is one of my projects. To add images within the text you have to have to first post them to a host site like Flikr. You can then copy the image URL in to the text when setting up your Lego Ideas page and it will make the pictures appear within your text. It's exactly the same process that you'd use if you wanted to post pictures here on eurobricks
  7. Huge congratulations @toastergrl
  8. Thank you very much. Yes it has taken just over a year to reach 10k.
  9. Thanks very much, I am over the moon that it has reached 10.000. By the way I am fully expecting your Sonic project will hit 10k within the next couple of days too so good luck! Thank you very much much @Digger of Bricks. Thanks very much. Thank you very much. To be honest I'm just really happy to have made it to 10,000. Whether or not it gets approved is out of my control but I agree, the chances of a modular being approved are slim. Having said that I did read something online last week... Lego had released a statement regarding the new Creator Fiat 500 set, justifying how it has been released soon after a similar model had been rejected on LEGO Ideas. Here's the link to their statement https://www.promobricks.de/lego-fan-talk-fiat-500/96175/ In part of the statement they mention why they allow projects to be submitted to LEGO Ideas even if they could be considered as overlapping with pre-existing themes. So although this statement is relating to the Creator Expert cars theme I guess it could be applied to modular buildings as well. If they were dead set against ever releasing a LEGO IDEAS modular building then surely they wouldn't allow them to be submitted in the first place. Although a modular has never been released under LEGO Ideas in the past, who knows... they might just surprise us if one come along that they like enough.
  10. Just seen on Promobricks that the new Creator Fiat 500 will be released on March 1st.
  11. Not sure if this has been mentioned already but the comments at the end of this article reveal a few more bits of info about the ship. Head to the end of the article and a few people have left questions about the ship which have been answered in the comments. https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-top-10-das-sind-die-besten-sommer-2020-sets-technic-creator-architecture-city-und-friends-87205/ Apparently the ship will feature 2 masts and is not quite as big as the classic pirate ships. They describe the size as being "city compatible" and that it would be the correct scale to put in a city dock. It is minifig scale and includes a few figures. The hull is completely brick built and is mostly brown but has black elements used as well.
  12. Wow! This is a nice surprise. Congrats to all the other winners as well and thanks to everyone who voted for my moc. Thanks @paupadros for organising this.
  13. I love it. in my opinion the best modular since assembly square. I really like the colours used and how the whole set has been given an earthy autumn kind of feel. Can't wait to see the interior. I'm guessing it will be packed with detail as the building looks pretty small considering over 2500 parts are used. If I had to make one criticism I'd say the apartment building on the right really looks as if it would benefit from having another floor added. I'm being nitpicky though. I think it looks amazing and will look awesome placed alongside Assembly Square and Parisian Restaurant. So glad they've given us a European style building this year.
  14. If it's true then I wonder if there will be any relevance to the reason they've decided to reveal it in Singapore. I wonder if the building will have an Asian style of architecture.
  15. I was thinking the same. Yes it was 2pm here in the UK when the garage was revealed. Also assuming the set is released on January 1st then that will be exactly 4 weeks from today. Today would seem the perfect time to make the announcement.
  16. That image on the Facebook page looks a bit fake to me. The buildings in the background are similar to the graphics that Lego use on the modular box artwork but not quite the same. Also at the bottom in small print it says "2019 The Lego Group" but no copyright symbol next to it which would usually be there.
  17. Ok thanks. That's great, first time any of my projects have been staff picked. By the way congrats for reaching 10,000 with your Home Alone set.
  18. Just received a notification on LEGO Ideas to say my project, Bricks & Blooms has been "featured". I've never had this with any of my projects before so sorry if it sounds a daft question but does anyone know what this means exactly? It isn't showing up under the "staff picks" tab on LEGO Ideas. Also there are no new official comments on my project page to say it's been staff picked or anything like that. I've checked the LEGO IDEAS twitter and facebook pages too and my project isn't featured on there.
  19. The voting for the car contest ends on Tuesday but the winner isn't announced until a week later. I hope they won't make us wait that long till they announce the new modular.
  20. Last year it was on December 3rd which was on a Monday last year. It they follow the same schedule then it could be annnounced tomorrow.
  21. There was a really nice fruit and veg delivery van that I was hoping would get through but sadly it didn't. It would have been nice to have a few more delivery trucks in the final. This is a vintage mail van I entered but sadly it didn't make the cut.
  22. If they follow the same schedule as last year then that will mean the new modular is gonna be revealed on Monday next week.
  23. So Lego Ideas have today revealed the 15 finalists for the vintage car contest where the winner will be released as a gift with purchase set, designed to fit in with the modular buildings. There are a couple of police cars in the final 15. I'm gonna take this as a sign that Lego are not planning to release a modular police station any time in the near future. Maybe I'm making too many assumptions but I don't think they'd want to release a police car set if it could clash with the style of any potential police modular buildings already being planned.
  24. As far as I remember, there were 19 sets released as part of the 2019 winter range. So far we've only seen images for 16 of the 2020 sets so I still think these race sets will be part of the winter range.
