Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
LM71Blackbird replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yeah, I can see how if someone tried to come in as a know-it-all, king-in-your-own-mind kind of character, you probably wouldn't have people begging you to be friends. I have a rough idea for a backstory that should hopefully flow nicely with current events. I'm pretty set on joining Corrington (even though I'm not the biggest fan of red and black, I can work with it and use some white). I would be a loyal subject that would only use a private military to help advance and protect the borders of Corrington. I have no intention of trying to overthrow the government. I like law and order, not chaos. Thank you for all the help! Thank you! If you feel extra supportive, there both on Lego Ideas! -

Ok, so I'm working on my Character and backstory, I just had a couple of more questions. (1) How much leniency do I have towards uniform design and colors? (2) Can I start out with a custom ship MOC, and if so is there a size limit (I assume I can't start out with a fleet of 80-gun, ships of the line?)? (3) Can I create and command my own private military force/companies whenever or do I need permission (I assume proper character progression is needed as well?)? (4, last one) What does WTC and OOC stand for? Thank you in advance! Brick on! -

Thank you! I got tons of ideas, so I'm sure I won't disappoint! I'm thinking about joining Corrington, but I'm going to give all the factions another look before I officially join! Thanks again! -
Thank you so much for this! I've been trying to figure it out for far to long!

Hi, I'm really interested in joining, just had one question... I usually only build in the Lego Digital Designer because of my limited brick collection [I also have a fair amount of off brand mixed as well :( ], are only digital builds allowed? Thanks! -
That's really cool! Great detail work and all three models go great together! Are you going to add another building to the arch that goes no where?

Great list! I would have put the Soldiers Fort (set #6242) on number 5 instead of 6, but that could be because I own it and am slightly biased... :) Nice job!

Lego Forbidden Island 6270 Time lapse video review

Great video! Some of the older sets have really nice open layouts. Liked the Sid Meier's pirates audio as well! -
As far as I know most 17th and 18th century military uniforms consisted of a colored jacket (either red, blue, white, green, etc...) and then had either white or tan/off-white pants. That would be if you are going for historical accuracy. If your just doing it for fun, you could give them all pink legs!

I believe the Prussians, Belgians, and I want to say certain French units wore green uniforms. It would be nice to have more diversity in official lego soldiers. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the next pirates theme is either yellow or green.

I think furniture with points or rounded edges would work nicely. A lot of furniture was very ornate back then.

I would really like an updated version of the Imperial flagship! I do remember seeing something with some micro builds of some of the best past builds... It might have been on Lego Ideas though... Can't remember. -
