  1. Me too! It would be a great tribute to everything that was before the brick and what made the Lego company popular in the first place!
  2. That is beautiful! The layout is very well thought out and the whole model seams to flow spectacularly! The picture with the lights in the town on is probably my favorite! Fantastic job on this incredible MOC!
  3. Welcome to euro bricks! Both the LDD and real bricks have there pros and cons. it's just about finding which cons you can live with!
  4. Welcome to euro bricks! We have something for everyone!
  5. Welcome to Euro bricks!
  6. Welcome to euro bricks!
  7. Welcome to Euro bricks! That must have been awesome to see in person!
  8. Nicely narrated story. The builds were a nice addition and all were spectacularly made! Can't wait for part 2!
  9. This is really simple, but really cool and well thought out! Thanks for sharing it!
  10. No problem! I've only owned laptops so I didn't realize PC's were different in that way.
  11. Yeah, not a problem! Go to the Lego Digital Designer icon and right click on it. At the very top of the drop down box should be the option ''Open". Directly under that should be an option that says "Run with Graphics Processor". Hover you mouse over that and it should expand to have three options. It should look like this: Open Run with Graphics Processor > High performance Nvidia processor (default) Integrated Graphics Just click the integrated graphics option and that should fix the messed up bricks for you! Hope that helps you out! Thanks! That is exactly what I meant! Just didn't have time to put in pictures!
  12. Bluerender is one of the best pieces of software that I have downloaded! It gives that photo-realistic look I really wanted! I recommend it to everyone I can!
  13. I completely agree! I spend a lot of time on Lego Ideas, and I some people won't even support digital designs. I mainly use the LDD because of three reasons. (1) I can't afford to buy tons of bricks. (2) Through the years off brand bricks have been mixed in. As a kid I could care less but now I would never find them all to remove them all. (3) My room is only 8ft by 10ft... that is the size of some people ''small'' cities! And for the people that don't know this, the actual designers at Lego HQ use the LDD to build models and they released it to the public so we could have the same experience!
  14. If you are running an Intel chip along with your Nvidia card, you should be able to right click on the application and there should be an option that says: Run with graphics processor > Then you can chose between integrated and dedicated. For smaller MOCs intel will work just fine. I have a 7th gen chip and it works pretty good. For anything over 500-1000 pieces though, your going to want to use the Nvidia card. Hope that helps!
  15. Hey KMPMOCS! I get the same problem with my GTX 1050... The only time it happens is when the outline on bricks setting is checked, as you already know. If your building a small model though, you could always run it on integrated graphics, but then that would kind of defeat the purpose of having a dedicated GPU...
  16. The Ford GT is one of my top 10 favorite cars, and this is now also on my list of top 10 favorite Lego models! Outstanding work on all the details! All the working features are incredible! How long did it take for you to finish it?
  17. That's so cool! The scale is perfect and I like the SNOT work!
  18. I am trying to build a Lockheed U-2 spy plane on the Lego Digital Designer, but I'm having some trouble getting the round shape of the fuselage to look the way I want it too. I haven't been able to come up with anything realistic looking. Does anybody have any tips, photos, or Lego digital designer files they wouldn't mind sharing with me? Anything would be appreciated!
  19. The classic pirates theme is something I would really like to see have a proper return. A line with large ships and impressive forts and hideouts!
  20. The only pirate set I was the Pirates Solider Fort (set #6424). That one got me hooked on the pirates theme. I always wanted to get the Lego Imperial Flagship (set # 10210) though... Maybe one day I will! The main problem is that my room is only 8 ft X 10 ft... so not a lot of space for a bunch of Lego ships!
  21. That is outstandingly beautiful!! The details that are in every little spot are amazing! I would be happy if I could build something half as good as that! Brick on! How long did it take you to complete that and get it just the way you wanted it?
  22. I always thought of the bluecoats as either Americans or British Navy. The redcoats were always the ground troops. With this thinking, it would be possible to have two different forces of British, a land force and a sea force, or have two different factions. Either way it is historical that the British and the Americans both fought pirates. I'm not as familiar with what pirates the British fought with off the top of my head, but I do know that during Thomas Jefferson's presidency there was a little know war with America and the Barbary pirates. In the end though, I think that it really depends on personal preference and what kind of story line your going with.
  23. It would depend on the faction that the cook/carpenter is part of. For the pirates you could literally use any sloppy looking torso and it would fit in my opinion. For the redcoats or bluecoats, you would need a neat and tidy appearance, because that is what would be expected of a superior faction. I'm sure you will figure out what you like best though!
  24. The oldest ones I have on file are from 2012, so about 5 or so years old. I know I started on LDD in about 2010 though... so some of the models may be older.
